I already have a sniper set up for my scar (just need a real sniper bipod)

But that stock would complete it!

Where would or could you get such a stock and would it fit on airsoft rifles?
To be more precies a WE gbb Scar (not an AEG)

Sim123456 October 19th, 2010 11:39

I would like WE to make the whole SCAR, I would definitively buy a third SCAR! The stock looks better then the "shoe" stock!

Steven October 19th, 2010 11:42

I agree, looks awesome, but i've never seen this before in any store ive looked in. And whats with so many tones of gold?

Riko October 19th, 2010 11:52

fyi thats a real life scar, not airsoft :) that explains the gold color I think + the fact that the quality of the pics are top notch.

Also, it seems that this particular sniper variant of the scar is just out....maybe that is why you can't find it right away, let alone for airsoft.

But I will look out for it, maybe some day they will sell this kind of stock seperate :)
But I bet it would cost as much as a WE Scar rifle :o

LOL..saw a prototype at SHOT last year. You can't even get one of those for a real SCAR.. :D

Ive actually seen this in action at an airsoft game; I dont very much like it, but it delivers

Daiviet October 19th, 2010 12:12

We're talking about the stock, not the gun

fuck :)

but will that sniper variant itself come out? or will this stay a prototype?

Assault Pioneer October 19th, 2010 12:24

that sure does solve the scar's ugly "leg and foot" stock look. whenever I see a scar I have the urge to put a sock on the stock just cause of that foot it has

yeah, like a bash of different kinds of scars from real life.

cause in real life you have these 3 types:
mk16/ light:
http://www.fnhusa.com/mil/products/f...054&gid=FNG020

mk17/ heavy:
http://www.fnhusa.com/mil/products/f...055&gid=FNG020

the real SSR:
http://www.fnhusa.com/mil/products/f...065&gid=FNG020

that airsoft rifle has the same long upper receiver, but the stock is standard.....
so stay ot, cause its about the stock, not the airsoft gun wich has nothing to do with the stock...

Oh it's "out" but back ordered out the ass....it's gonna be like the Element SpecterDR that actually has 1-4X. Flyin off the shelves...

Alright...if I can get that stock I'd buy a SCAR. I like everything about the SCAR except for the goofy footed dolphin tail stock....or a UBR-ish stock.

Are there many (any?) other stocks for the SCAR? They're great shooters but the stock just kills it for me.

Wonder if this would fit (looks kind of goofy though)...then add the UBR stock.

Or like the lower rifle...(that's a Bushmaster ACR I think...not sure)

Yah, Vltor is about it for SCAR adapters. Good luck finding one fo those too. Vltor hasn't mentioned a release date as far as I know.

I have actually been looking into making just the buffer tube adapter through Neit Arms/NEA. One made here (for RS applications) and one made in India for AS (cheaper, lighter)

Daiviet October 19th, 2010 13:55

There aren't any for airsoft that I'm aware of, and each company's scar is slightly different on how its designed, so my guess is WE and VFC would most likely get them, everyone else would be screwed.

That m4 stock on the scar doesn't look bad actually, I'd get it given the chance.

I'm probably eligible for a golden shovel :P

Let me get straight to business. Using those photos posted previously I've managed to do a CAD model of that desired stock. It's not complete - it's missing the mounting solution (not sure if I'd go for solid or folding stock) and it doesn't have the dimensions of the original yet, because I just guessed them or made up to make it look well :) Because this model is fairly complicated, I think it should be done as a molded part. Obviously not having money for it, I'm probably going to rapid-prototype it once I'm fully satisfied with my CAD model.

Anyway, enjoy and leave some feedback :)
