Scope question

Maybe you guys can help me out...

I recently purchased an m14 and i would like to put a sight on it but i can't decide on what i want.

first i was thinking acog but eye relief suck on them at least as far as i can tell, then i wanted to be able to get a quick target acuisition so i thought red dot but that would look stupid on t DMR so then i naturally went to the scope idea and its pretty sweet but what if i need to take a closer shot and have no time to look through the scope every time?

any ideas on what sight i should try?

which type of m14 do you have ? standard, ebr , socom ? any basic scope will do for airsoft , my first one was a crossman pellet gun scope but that was pertty cheap . do you have the side mount for your m14 you'll need one of those first and yes i love acog's but the eye relief sucks on an m14 . Any other question pm me if you like . i collect m14.

have you considered a red dot and magnifier combo? Just get a flip to side mount for the magnifier. I think huang got some in.

Get a scope with rails on it, and put a mini red dot on top.

I had one with a 1.5-6x42 and it looked hot but was total overkill... I found myself using the 1.5 times alot and almost preferred a red dot.
