Whats a good solid GBB to purchase?

Hi there,I'm in the market to buy a few gas pistols, can anyone give me some info as to which ones are good solid performers?
The ''Capa"" lines interest me but which company is best, also which companies should I stay away from?

I would suggest the KSC/KWA Glock 19, its an all-round solid performer for "on the field" work. That is, if you're a Glock fan. The Hi-capa series on the other hand, are extremely accurate from what i've been told.

TM Hicapa 4.3. Best fucking pistol I've ever used, and it's my 9th.

So whsts the difference between a hicapa 4.3 and a hicapa 5.1?

Anything TM really.. great solid performing gas blowbacks, but I am a KSC fan as well, cant go wrong with KSC glocks!

seabass June 11th, 2008 22:10

longer barrel,

+1 on the hi capa, My TM 4.3 is unreal

kershaw June 11th, 2008 22:18

So the 4.3 has a commander length slide and the 5.1 is the same as a standard 1911?
So where can I buy one these?

The Saint June 11th, 2008 22:19

Somewhere inside the classifieds?

Bob the Angry Potato June 11th, 2008 22:20

Got mine from the Classifieds.
4.3 has, well... a 4.3in barrel, when 5.1 has... you get the idea.

I boresighted and also shot a friend's TM Hi-Capa, and it shot high and to the right consistantly (about 4" right and 2" up), and ran out of rear sight adjustment room, could only get it to shoot 2" high and right at 30ft. Great kick though, but my KSC G19s out shoot it nicely, even if the groups are a bit larger.

TM Hi-capas also have the 'blown O-ring' issue when using propane in warm (+28 and up) that require disassembly of the slide to put back in place. The is some aftermarket part that I recall (but can't say what) that prevents this problem.

KSC G23C as well, same shit, different length/height.

Hey, wanna know a neat discovery I made regarding the KSC G18C with METAL slide/barrel installed? With no mag, it weighs the same as the KSC G19 FRAME!!!!!!! Yes, the frame, no slide, barrel or mag installed. Says a lot for the G19 frame and it's metalized plastic material!

Colin_S wrote a pretty good review on the KWA PTP in the review section, that should help.

Can't say used or new would be the same or different, just pointing out what I've found recently. And the O-ring issue is a problem with all TM hi-capas, not just used ones, new ones it happens in as well, it's a design flaw, not a flaw of the gun with lots of rounds fired through it.
