M203

Im curious, i remember reading a sticky somewhere about M203s being considered Restricted Firearm but there was no clear answer weather or not they are able to be imported by people with BFL. Also does it include the 203 ShotShowers as well?

Fox Hound June 27th, 2007 07:09

i've imported shells, came throuh for me, if you are curious they were xm20hp grenades

DarkAngel June 27th, 2007 11:34

Hmm, but the launchers?

gamz June 27th, 2007 11:36

The sticky regarding the M203 being restricted is for the real steel version (link).

I would say the airsoft version would be treated the same as any other airsoft rifle or pistol by customs inspectors.

Why even bother trying to import them when there are 4 M203's for sale on the first page alone in the ASC classifieds?

There is a RIS mounted one there.....

DarkAngel June 27th, 2007 13:47

oh nono not the XM one, i wanted the normal looking ones XD with the handguard and stuffs.

@ex-royal
Its not RAS mount? then what does QD mean? i thought QD stood for Quick Detach as in the RAS version like on WGC

ex June 27th, 2007 13:55

The Qd is the barrel attachment. Basicly it clamps onto the barrel. The bottom slides onto the barrel directly. SO you basicly take off the bottom handguard or in this case the bottom ris.

Oh i see. the reason i want a RAS version is cause im on my way to getting a CASV RAS unit to replace mine. Also, does anyone know of any Bipods that mount using side rails? Almost like the Famas Bipods? Would be interesting to mount a bipod and a 203 together :D

gamz June 27th, 2007 14:15

You could do something like this with a Smokey Heavy Duty Bipod:

I thought that too, but after seeing more of the CASV upclose to realise that its a split ras too! So there should be no issues other than battery space for the 203.

Looks good, but i cant seem to find the bipod on WAR4's site.
WGC seems to have it, but it doesnt have the Mount to mount it on the top Rail

Smokey's Heavy Duty Bipod 2-way

To quote the description:
"Can be mounted below or above rail"
