P229 Mags?

Anyone know where KJW P229 mags can be found? Also, is there any other brand that fits? I searched the forums for "p229" but didn't really see anything.
Just wondering really. Might get one in the future.
Looked at A&A and such but there were none.

I meant IN CANADA / easily obtainable. Not in Hong Kong!

Any retailer can order those, and since those don't have fake bullets in them, you can also import them yourself.

I'm going to go out on a limb her and say that the kj p229 is a shortened version of the kj p226 and that internally there is no difference, therefore kj p226 mags will fit. best to ask the retailer about the mag compatibility.

tanaka mags will most likely not work in the kj

edit- ok looking at redwolf, the construction of the p226 and p229 mags do look different. http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...enu2=180#21687
focusing on the top of the mags, it looks as though the p229 mag is slightly thinner. but the mag capacity and price is the same for the two. I'm sure that if you contact redwolf, they can tell you what works. I would contact redwolf first before a&a as redwolf will more likely have both the models to compare.

I've read and been told that mags without fake rounds in can be imported no problem, however i'd like someone to confirm, because if its just skuttlebut then i'd be a bit on the wary side. So if someone could give a definitive "yup, i've ordered such and such from so and so's and they made it through" then that would be much appreciated. And yes i have read the FAQ, before you jump on the flame wagon....

Confirmed, got my HFC m190 mag from ehobby along with a box of STAR real-caps from them in the same package. Package was inspected by Customs, no delays, just have to pay $7 brokerage and like $10 taxes (GST/PST).

My buddy has a p226 and I have a p229. I tried the 226 mag in a 229, and the 226 is a little bit longer. it fits, but it sticks out a little bit. getting a 29 mag would be best

Would that translate to more gas and/or BB's? or Just more metal?

sorry for bumping a real old thread but this is regarding a question I have...does any other manufacturer's sig mags work with the kjw p229?

my problem is that i have had the plastic lips of the bb feeder break off on two of my mags.

I'm selling my KJW 229 with 2 mags. Want one?!

The Saint May 9th, 2008 12:17

You can buy new plastic lips for the KJW P229 magazine, it uses the same lips as the TM P226 magazine. I know this because I've got 2 spare G&P ones sitting right here, though I'm wary to sell them because I know I'll need them as soon as they're sold.
