SB199 passed in cali. what is next?

im seriously worried, would there be a chance that other states and eventually other countries will adapt the bill?

Ricochet October 2nd, 2014 12:15

No, the sky is not falling. Some states have the 3mm or so orange tip, but that is it. Canada will never likely have a law like this, because in the words of the Canadian Firearms Program "what's to stop someone from painting a real gun hot pink?". They have had issues like this in the past, and their policy is to treat ALL guns as real.

No the sky is falling. Start hording guns now!

Very soon prices in the used section will rocket upwards. Everyone's investment portfolio will quintuple in value.

where's the news article of the guys hiding a sawed off shotgun in the nerf gun?

Don't forget about the ammo shortages, start hoarding those bbs now!

Damn, I'm gonna need a security guard at work now.

ThunderCactus October 2nd, 2014 18:57

Did you read the bill?
It's not a ban of any kind, it simply requires a 2cm orange strip to be placed on the mag, stock, OR pistol grip of a replica, in addition to the orange tip, and apparently now an orange trigger guard.
Sky is falling because you need a 1" orange band around your pistol grip only in california now.

My security guard is pretty lazy...

Jonathan explains it in detail but.... unfortunately the law applies only to airsoft guns which senator Deleon only targeting but leaving out paintball guns. I also heard from rumors that Deleon has good relations with the paintball community and made sure that the bill left out paintball guns.

From a distance a milsim paintball gun now looks like a real firearm without the florescent tape !

ThunderCactus October 5th, 2014 14:19

Yeah I noticed that too.

J-Man19 October 8th, 2014 11:31
