Ordering large order from redwolf

So I'm planning on ordering around $400-450 worth of stuff from redwolf. However, the shipping is absurd. Do they offer discounts for larger orders? I've emailed them several times but I've got no answer.

Mentosice October 23rd, 2009 20:07

400-450 $ is not that big for an order !

cerealmaniac October 23rd, 2009 20:07

how much is shipping? may i ask?

Crunchmeister October 23rd, 2009 20:13

How much is shipping, and what is it you're ordering?

Shrapnel[Op-For] October 23rd, 2009 20:19

Ordering lots of pantac gear, batterys, sling. Shipping was around $80. Sorry, I'm not sure if that really is too much, I guess I was wondering if they ever offer any discounts for certain amounts of items bought. Ie. they had a jan, feb march code for discounts.

Styrak October 23rd, 2009 20:21

Given that shipping for a single item from Hong Kong is usually around $30, $80 isn't much for shipping a $450 order.

PHARAOH October 23rd, 2009 20:25

your crying over $80!? im looking at a $300 shipping charge from ehobby on my next order....

Crunchmeister October 23rd, 2009 20:26

Pantac is readily available in Canada. ASCMart is their distributor. Batteries slings and other items are readily available on airsoftparts.ca. So unless you're dead-set on something one of those guys can't get, there's little reason to order from overseas. Yeah, maybe the base price of the items is higher here, when you factor in the cost of shipping from Asia, it's often cheaper, easier and faster to buy in Canada.

Thats great, READ my post, I'm not crying, merely wondering if they offer any deals, or discount codes for such an order. Ehobby charges a larger amount for orders because there items are marked down to compensate for the lower prices.

Yeah, I've looked at asc mart, pantac's website, and several other sites. I'm stuck with redwolf because they are the only ones who carry all the items i need.

Wasn't Kampfer supposed to be doing an order? Although I think that was in the summer so you probably missed the boat on that one.

Anyways... I think I remember seeing something about discounts from Redwolf however I think the minimum order amount was like $1000 or 1500 (that's USD)

EDIT: I'll try to find you a link to confirm that.

EDIT: So it looks like you'd have to be one of their "wholesalers" in order to get the free shipping thing. However I'm pretty sure I saw a page somewhere that said they would ship for free or something with orders over $1000 however it was probably one of those wholesaler things where the wholesalers will do more than one large order and will do it multiple times. Note, I cannot access the "wholesaler section" to confirm this as I am not a wholesaler however I remember seeing something to that effect...

cerealmaniac October 23rd, 2009 20:50

$80 shipping is nothing IMO.... shipping from HK is $40 min. and thats like shipping for a bag of BBs

Boomshakah October 23rd, 2009 21:15

Last time i bought some gear from Ebairsoft it was free shipping.

...that's because EB explicity states they include the shipping price in their item prices.

And that has nothing to do with this thread.

turok_t October 24th, 2009 00:05

I placed an order with Boom airsoft for 3 scope mounts....shiping was $12.00
I placed an order with ehobbyasia for another scope mount... shiping was $8.00
I placed an order with WGC for aimpoint.. shipping $18.00

All arrived within 2 weeks.

haha your order is consider small then what I have. I done $700+ order before. Shipping by then isnt that much of a deal but most of mine are parts.

gunscythe October 24th, 2009 00:19

We just did a big order from ehobby. About $200 shipping. Redwolf was about $80. When you factor in the prices you'd pay in canada, it's fair. For instance, ehobby has like $25 CIRAS's, mark them up by 100% for S&H and it's still a good deal.

Ehobby came within a week or so. Redwolf was sent express - it got to customs in 3 days, through customs in 2 hours, and for the last three weeks has been "lost" by Canada Post. Not sure if we'll ever see that one again...hopefully we can work out a refund or something...not sure what to do if Canada Post loses a Hong Kong Post package that probably wasn't insured. It was worth $500.

I would have to disagree with that statement. My experience has led me to believe that purchasing from overseas can be considerably cheaper than ordering from either stores quoted above. For example my last 3 overseas Pantac purchases have been roughly 30% cheaper than purchasing from in country sellers. That's includes base price, shipping, duties, PST and GST and smiles.

That being said airsoftparts.ca is a gem of a store which I am compelled to order from at least once a month from.

Wow this has gone off topic. He merely stated wether or not he would get a discount or not, not if the shipping is absurd, or cheap.

Redwolf already answered this question before the thread was even made.

False. Otherwise, tell them to refund the $700 I paid them for my last order.
