Oracom C-More replica sights

Greets,

http://cgi.ebay.com/Replica-C-More-R...item25567a74c4

At about one third the cost of the real thing, I'm curious to know if anyone has any idea if these are good.

pusangani October 12th, 2009 05:06

curious too, ebaybanned has it cheaper though eh, and in pretty colours too like OD, Grey, Red, Black and Blue!

http://www.ebairsoft.com/cmore-repli...ue-p-2540.html

I'd love to get a grey one to match the grey grips on the noobkiller 5000

Shirley October 12th, 2009 10:07

Gay thing is it's rail mounted, can't use on actually c-more mounts.

The gayer thing is that the rail can actually be removed, so that it can actually be used on c-more mounts.

surebet October 13th, 2009 00:02

The even gayer thing is that no one answered the question!

But props to Illusion for ninja-ing my second future question.

And props to pusangani for sourcing me a cheaper seller.

I guess all that is left is to blame is Shirley. You thread gayer-er.

Seriously, anyone got their mits on one yet?

surebet October 14th, 2009 14:55

Damnit, nothing on Google, do they even exist yet?

Shirley October 14th, 2009 14:58

I don't think noone has ordered them yet. I would soon maybe in November before the CAPS tournament.

It's 1/3 the price of a real C-More..

EDIT: Well I need to get it very soon, Canadian Dollar is almost at US.

pusangani October 14th, 2009 15:18

I showed it to boringegg a while back, not sure if he ever ordered it.

surebet October 14th, 2009 15:22

How is the shipping time for waridiot? I'd rather not gowith EB...

pusangani October 14th, 2009 15:24

never dealt with them, I've never had an issue with ebb, over like 30 orders

surebet October 14th, 2009 15:39

Had more issues with them in 5-6 orders than with every other provider since I've been dealing online.

RacingManiac October 14th, 2009 15:46

airsoft global have these too I think....and they are more in-line with a regular HK seller like UNC or WGC...

surebet October 14th, 2009 16:12

Sweet!

Shirley October 14th, 2009 16:12

eHobby has them but only in 3 colours..

ILLusion October 15th, 2009 16:33

Redwolf has them now.

Radical Red

Bodacious Blue

Ice Grey

OD

Black

USD $79 a pop

Maybe order some in...

pusangani October 15th, 2009 17:07

$70 on airsoftglobal

ujiro October 15th, 2009 17:11

I might get one of these. If I ever make any money lol.

surebet October 16th, 2009 00:15

Fuck it, I'm ordering one, we'll see what's what

pusangani October 16th, 2009 00:45

fuck it, we'll do it live!

I have the Milspec Monkey patch lol!

Oh, and as soon as a certain HiCapa retailer can confirm, happy birthday to me!

The exterior build of a 5.1 stainless race pistol. After that, slow tweeks on the internals...

pusangani October 16th, 2009 16:33

I'd advise against getting that railed scope mount, that you listed there, the rail is removeable on the cmore, so just get something like what ILLusion is selling as it sits alot lower to the gun and looks more slick too!

http://www.pbase.com/illusive_airsof...4/original.jpg

ILLusion October 16th, 2009 16:38

Agreed... try to avoid rail mount optics if you can. The higher your optics are from the bore of your weapon, the more you will have to go through re-training, in order to learn how to pick up the dot quickly (the higher the sight from the bore, the more you'll have to naturally lower your grip), as well as learning how to adjust for parallax differences between near and far targets. The higher your sight is from your bore, the more you will need to compensate.

If you are very used to naturally picking up a sight picture quickly with a pistol's open sights, you are going to have a tough time learning to pick up a dot that's high off the bore. (that's advice coming from personal experience.)

That scope mount base that Pusangani linked to is made for a real CMore sight. A replica shouldn't be far off as far as fitment goes. It's a replica of the STI scope mount base, the difference being that this one has a removable/replaceable steel blast shield.

surebet October 16th, 2009 19:02

I was opting for the rail mount for many reasons
- Not sure if the clone can unmount the rail
- I'm not confident in my ability to drill the frame
- Carbon bits!!
- Red bits!!!

Maybe not the best reasons, but I want to be sure to get a mount without having to pay another 30$ for a second shippement.

When you get this, see if the rail can unmount (I have a pretty good hunch that it can) and let us know.

I'm pretty spoiled by my real CMore, so I don't think I'd get a replica, but I may consider it if I feel like changing up colours to match my outfit. lol.

RacingManiac October 17th, 2009 12:29

I think real C-More is a relatively affordable quality sight.....~$200 vs a clone for $80...especially compare something like a real Aimpoint or Eotech......or a Irondot...

sigh...if i didn't get the aimpoint mount, i would've ordered it LONG time ago.....:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Just how hard is the installation of a frame mounted... er... mount?

Tys did it for me, you need a drill press and a tap set? I believe? LOL
PM him, he did mine perfectly.

a mill would be better than a drill press so the holes are perfectly in line....but a drill press also works provided that the operator knows wut he's doing.......and Tys can do that for sure =)

Shirley November 7th, 2009 13:38

Anyone bought these yet?

surebet November 7th, 2009 14:10

Inbound 1ish week

boringegg November 16th, 2009 00:39

whoever gonna buy the replica C-more sight, u may wanna look into rsov.com. they have free shipping and 12% discount now~

surebet November 25th, 2009 10:22

Just got mine, very impressed by the build. The dot is small and crisp, trades are where they should be (even on the box) and the rail is removable.

I'll do a better review later, but seems like it's worth it

Shirley November 25th, 2009 11:42

Ahhh! I'm waiting for mine at the moment..

surebet November 27th, 2009 11:34

http://img697.imageshack.us/img697/6...7003607092.jpg

I'll try to write a few words about the sight this weekend, though I still need to make a custom mount base in glass fiber to replace the darn rail system on right now...

Shirley November 27th, 2009 15:56

Nice nineball carbon rail mount. When I get mine, going to get a C-more base mount. Rail mounted looks so fat.

Skruface November 27th, 2009 18:32

Nice pic. Could I bother you to get a pic of it mounted on a Armalite, right over the magwell? I'm trying to decide on one of these vs a Transverse EOTech.

boringegg November 27th, 2009 22:46

how's the parallax error on the replica??
that's my main concern
mind u to test it on sumthing @ least couple meters away

Shirley December 1st, 2009 20:11

Still waiting for mine in customs. Said supposed to be a 6-10 day shipping, took around 20 days already...

Surebet, since you got a Limcat set up, buy this next.
http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=28042

surebet December 1st, 2009 20:44

Nah, I'll replace the rail on the mount with something with the words "custom" and "carbon fiber" in it.

Shirley December 5th, 2009 00:36

Got mine, it's nice, plastic is very cheap.
The level adjustments are sweet.
Only problem is no left to right adjustments... Ew..

Shirley December 6th, 2009 04:08

On another note, the dot seems very fuzzy? Size is about 50cm the gun away from me, the dot size is about 1/3 of a cm..

English what?

ujiro December 7th, 2009 16:26

Lol failglish he speaks actually.

I think he means when the gun is 50cm away, the dot appears to be 1/3 of a cm.

boringegg December 7th, 2009 22:14

how's the parallax error on the scope??? i really wanna know...cuz that's the deal breaker for me....XD

Hata December 31st, 2009 13:38

Another C-More type sight available.
It is replica of C-More Serendipity

Hata,

What was the last one (make/model) you had when we drilled/tapped your frame?

Tys

Shirley January 7th, 2010 19:45

So what's that A piece thing for?

EDIT: It's a sunshade...

The one first available in Nov. $79 from redwolf as Illusion mention before.

StrikeFreedom May 9th, 2010 03:30

Any review on these C-More replicas? Like boringegg said, parallax is a big factor. Also it seems that you cannot adjust the windage?

Shirley May 9th, 2010 03:36

Parallax is ok..

Windage is really stiff. It will move, but stiff.

ILLusion May 10th, 2010 13:25

I've tried both the generic China/Oracom brand, and didn't like them too much. The quality wasn't great, dot was blurry, and the body colour wasn't accurate (for the grey.)

The RD Dynamics version is much better... very crisp dot, clean optics. Body construction was top notch and hard to define from the real steel CMore. This version does not have the CMore logo, which the other China brands do. On the flip side, the RD Dynamics version also comes with a anti-glare shield. It's not real steel spec, though - will only fit the RD Dynamics version. All controls (windage & elevation) work just fine. Much easier than the generic China clones.

Parallax is on par with the real steel.

huang August 9th, 2010 22:18

The c-more I carry are fully adjustable and have been tested on .22 rifle and it holds.
