cant reassemble my shotgun

i have a stinger s34p, which is a tm m3 clone.
i cant find a way of attaching the rods to the place under the pump, because
there is a piece that goes over it that wont fit, and on side of the shotgun has it lso that once under the piece that you MUST put on top, it is immpissible to attach the rod.
it is pretty confusing and you probably wont know how to fix unless youve
experienced this youself

Depending on how close it is to the Mauri M3 this site should work for you. Its the first article after the intro. Its got a pretty good description on how to disassemble and reassemble the shotty.

It sounds like you don't have the hand guards removed from the pump slide carrier

- Remove the two screws below the hand guard and split it open to remove it from the carrier. (Only one side will come off.)

-At the bottom of the carrier you will see one single screw. Remove it to release the opposite side. (This should give you access to the 'underneath' part and the two rods connected on the slide.

Now you can access the two screws on the part forward of the magizine that is underneath handguard normally as well as the rod tops on the carrier assembly. That should give you the room you need to work.

Let us know if that worked. Sorry abut the picture quality, I only have a crappy camera phone at the moment.

I have disassembled and reassembled the stinger recently and also an M3 clone over 15-20 times.

Please take pics of what you mean and I will easily help you.

i cant post pics right this moment, but i can tell you this. i have already gotten to the underneath part. a small thing that looks like a mini hand gard is underneath i cant fit those and the rods together in their proper spots. the mini handguard cant fit over the rods, and when i slip the rods under i cant manuaver them enought to get the little l-shapped tip on the rod at the end of the gear side of the gun.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but I reassembled my S34P and now, when I cock it, it won't lock into place as it was doing before (the front grip thingy), what part is responsible for this ?

there is a little latch with a spring in the gun, that locks the loading rods look for proper spring installation

Flying Squirrel June 25th, 2009 19:36

The website I posted above deals specifically with that.

Doombringer June 25th, 2009 19:36

Maybe I inverted the rods when reassembling...

edit: thx, I'll go read the website.

Doombringer June 25th, 2009 19:46

Ok I guess it's the little metal part on the side of the gun when you take it off, but I don't remember that it was spring-loaded as he is saying... Where would the spring go ?

i have given up on fixing my gun and am going to try to return it, even though i spray painted it. do you think i could sandpaper the spray paint off so it could look like i didnt
alter it (altering in any way voids the warranty). there is no way i am bying that gun again, because the price went back to 120$. I dont know if i am going to get another gun, unless it is under 70$.

Just take pictures and I will guide you. There is no way they will take the gun back. You made my day :)

+1 to that.

Welcome to airsoft a lot of the time your guns spend more time on the bench then the field.

There are people who fix this stuff or can show you how you just have to exercise some patience.

I've almost posted up all of my guns at one point or anther because I was too pissed-off to troubleshoot and fix them. I've got to have like nine different threads in ASC involving issues with my guns (that no-one else had) and they are all up and running again. Sure some took a few months to get to that stage but thats just the nature of the beast.

Just out of interest: what were you trying to do in the first place when you opened the gun? Reason I ask is, Shottys have the least amount of user serviceable parts. You can't really upgrade anything.

Anyway if we knew that we might have a better idea of what you did and why its not working now.

Chill out, take ten come back and we'll get this thing dealt with.

FAIL......

henoch June 27th, 2009 20:45

well i took the gun back to canadian tire and made it look like the gun was together, and i sandpapered the side that was showing, but it still had some black on it. Im very lucky a dumb blonde was servicing, or else i wouldnt of gotten a new one. i even persuaded her to keep the clips of my old one
so now i have 4:cool:

edit: i took it appart to sand down the rods to make it easier to pump.
