G36

Does anyone know who makes the G36 at www.canadianairgunsupply.com and how reputable it is? How much would I need to put into it to make it competative? I've really almost given up on getting a G36 or a Scar but now I found this... Please tell me its nice!

surebet May 18th, 2009 00:16

Right now it's a null product, no one make a clearsoft version. Actually, outside of ARs, MP5s and AKs you won't find anything.

Con Murder May 18th, 2009 00:26

I just went to that sight www.canadianairgunsupply.com and it said 4 in a crate or something anyway its in red dear and I want it!
Who makes that one?

surebet May 18th, 2009 00:30

From their product line, it would probably be CA, though once again, it doesn't exit.

It might be available later, but apart from the above mentioned lines, nothing else is made in clearsoft.

EDIT: Also, even if it did, you can't order from CAS, they only wholesale.

Qlong May 18th, 2009 00:32

You should email them and ask to get a definite answer.

Con Murder May 18th, 2009 00:44

I'll call them tuesday since that seems to be the only contact. Sure hoping...

surebet May 18th, 2009 00:45

Why not simply buy the real thing from the classifieds? I got my CA36 for 450$, I don't know why you would waste your time with clearsoft.

CAS only sells to retailers, not individuals.

Turnbull May 18th, 2009 12:41

Ah, nothing like waking up and viewing a man's hopes and dreams crushed.. sure helps brighten up my day!

Really? Interesting..

L473ncy May 19th, 2009 11:15

You have to get it from their "front" store buyairsoft (they had a merger and now CAS owns it) or get it from somewhere else that stocks CAS guns.

CAS is really just a warehouser who distributes to retail stores (who then sell you the gun). At least thats how I understand the relationship.

Hats off to Tiffany at www.canadianairgunsupply.com reception desk! She knew little to nothing about specific products but gave me loads of information! Capitalairsoft.com uses them and so I emailed him about the G36 gotta call another store this afternoon and then I'll post again.
By the way the websight is under construction she said, so as far as what is what I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Con Murder May 19th, 2009 15:36

By the way surebet, I don't let things ruin my day. Thats my possession and I'll do it myself thankyou very much.

yeah I have heard that CAS is having a few hiccups with their show- everything from website issues to missed emails and such ;)

Capitalairsoft have a good rep and get stuff from CAS, so if they have it* then thats who I'd get it from (Jeff Baker is the guy who runs that show)

*but I think surebet is right and that it isnt released yet- I dont know of any CANsoft G36

Con Murder May 20th, 2009 12:40

Jeff just emailed me said it was not available yet. And now I await a response to see how long yet will be. I asked if 2009 would see it so that should be broad enough for a response at least. I don't expect this summer but maybe the fall. Gotta love the suspense eh?

MillerBRo May 20th, 2009 12:42

could be a long while... :( I heard that G&G was also going to release their CANsoft G3 series and that was about 6 months ago and I am still waiting lol

SHÖCK May 20th, 2009 12:46

What company would even make a Cansoft G36? None of the ones that make the G36 produce Cansoft guns.

G36s are only made by TM, CA, SRC, Star, JG, and then a bunch of crap ones from CYMA and Both Elephant which are junk plastic mechbox things

The Clearsoft makers, G&G & ICS don't have a G36 in their lineups...unless it might be some kind of CA Sportline in the future.

MillerBRo May 20th, 2009 12:48

I was wondering myself. JG has made some CANsoft M4s so maybe its one of their future products?

Con Murder May 21st, 2009 17:35

Hope so if its like my M4s JG I know it'll be worth the $$$

kalnaren May 21st, 2009 18:10

Screw a halfbreed G36. No ABS one can come close to the body quality of a CA one. I'd gladly pay the CA price for a vastly superior AEG.

So you don't let a non-existing product ruin your search for said product?

I don't want to piss in your cornflakes, bu it doesn't exist. If it did, 3 days after the original import this site would be spamed left and right by the clearsoft retailers about it.

Live the dream if you want, I prefer to not hallucinate.

So any updates on a time frame here?

Con Murder May 22nd, 2009 14:44

Got another e-mail today from Jeff saying he doesn't know why its on that sight even *takes a bite of cornflakes* and that he knows nothing about a time frame. In the mean time *spits out cornflakes* I think I'll play with my guns that do exist, that is until I get age verified...

SHÖCK May 22nd, 2009 14:47

Since the G36's restricted part is the upper reciever, any potential cansofts will basically be like 75% clear LOL

Thenooblord May 22nd, 2009 15:09

just get AVed, i picked up an echo1 G36 on the classifieds for 250, no retailer will sell equal quality in cansoft for that cheap either

skalnok May 22nd, 2009 15:31

you do mean 350 right... and even tehn, spend the extra money on a Classic army g36, you wont regret it

+1.

I've compared a CA36 to a JG36. There is no comparison whatsoever... you can tell the JG one is the cheap one from 10 feet away before you even touch them. The CA is worth every cent of the extra money.

Con Murder May 23rd, 2009 02:13

If nothing else a CANsoft G36 will be a G36 and any player who is not age verified or local shop looking to get one will have to abide by the law. Now a CA might beat the shit out of a JG but who the hell cares if its anywhere but in my hands. Point being that if Canada can distribute clear clones then a metal upper or lower is all one needs to obtain (outside the obviouse internals) and given the convenience more would buy the CANsoft than you expect.

surebet May 23rd, 2009 02:29

Expect the cansoft fad to die sooner than you think, with distributors pushing the opaque tinted versions, someone will eventually push back.

What I find insulting is that for barely more, you get the real deal, more often than not from a trusted brand. I'm talking about 50$-100$ more.

Con Murder May 23rd, 2009 03:11

A CANsoft G36 would be worth $300-$350 to me if it had an fps that was under 350.

surebet May 23rd, 2009 11:36

The MSRP on the site is 396$, add tax, realise that you are getting ripped off.

If the gun is over 350fps and I can't use it cqb then I think I'd pay the $400 that they ask, as far as mark up I hope the dealers are nice to me. Now if you think that getting a replica CANsoft is a rip off please consider the legal orders here in Canada. The local authoraties in my area have close relations to airsofters and though they readily accept pre-ban purchased units. They have had no tollerance for illegally imported or even painted weapons that were CANsoft.

surebet just be civil and let us discuss the item. Your opinion has been heard three or four times. Take a seat and let it be. I want a clear G36 and you don't. END

Customs has been giving importers trouble regarding tinted recievers. New batches will be clear for many of them.

surebet May 23rd, 2009 15:55

There hasn't been a any recent bans in airsoft, it's status is the same since 1998.

Pre-ban airsoft guns refer to guns owned before 1998. If you had them before that date, you can keep them but you cannot obtain other ones. Burden of proof is on the owner to demonstrate prior ownership.

There has however been a tradition of tolerance from federal law enforcement, so few indivuduals have been punished for transfering replica firearms outside of dealers.

While I understand what you're saying, it simply isn't grounded in any known legislation. Also, unless your local LE keeps dossiers on each player, how can they tell which gun is "pre-ban"?

As for the existance of a clearsoft G36, only a rep from CAS could confirm if it's coming or not.

As noted before, my impression is that it would be a JG G36c, but it would be mostly clear. The internals would be so-so.

Best of luck in your search.

Considering you can get a full black JG G36 for that, why would you buy a cansoft one?

And lowering the FPS is a simple spring swap. $20 and 20 minutes of your time. Swapping a spring in a G36 isn't overly hard.
