Oh I'd hit it, I'd hit that pretty damned fast. Do we know what mechbox/hop up unit they are following for it?

They would probably re use the 249 mechbox I would say (easier then developping a new box), there ample room for mechanic and battery in that frame. But it assumption from myself.

Has the price been announced?

It's a clone of the VFC MK43, and ebaybanned will sell it for $280US (Not including shipping).

In country it should be the same price as other A&K M249's, if not slightly more.

There are many rumors about this AEG...
One is that it's a VFC clone. Another is that its a STAR clone...
They'd better hurry it up with the VN model tho.
