"Worn in Combat" G36KA1

Part of my kit anyway:

G36KA1 for my feldjäger impression.
I will also hide the cables and paint the selector markings. From the start this was a CA36 "rifle".

Hope you like my mods.

White_knight January 30th, 2009 02:59

wow that looks really good. what did you do to get that look? ive been thinking of just stripping my m4 down and just burying it in mud and sand and leaving it

Cougar[SWE] January 30th, 2009 03:09

Thnx!

Ive used EC weapon paint, sprayed from a bit of distance and like a ton of paintremover... :p
A pice of "ruff" fabric and several hours later.....

Some of the mods done:
G36 K-barell with flash hider.
CA G36K Knights RAS.
Knights vertgrip.
G36 C-stock (a correct G36KA1 shall have the shorter "C-stock").
Custom G36C carryhandle, to get the look as a KV-rail.
Extended alu-rail on the "C-carryhandle".
MP7 flipups.
RS Eo-tech.
A few paintjobs....

All internals swaped to some "angry stuff"!

Love it! Is there any trick to how you apply the paint remover with the brush cloth to get that effect? I definitely want to try this on some of ours, as what we have going on now looks too "fresh."

DefCon 1 January 30th, 2009 11:47

Sweet man.
Looks real!!!

milehigh January 30th, 2009 11:48

I never knew the pin holders in the stock would double as earplug holders. Cool!

Roughneck January 30th, 2009 11:51

The RAS looks great on the front end, well done sir.

Cougar[SWE] February 1st, 2009 01:50

Thank you! It means a lot!
All the hours in research, hours getting all the right parts...., you guys know....

The mods of the "C-rail", to look like a KV-rail or the "SEK-rail", were the tuffest part.
And Ive never doubt so much in my life before on "If I should go for the paint session".... :p
All the parts are new and never used in the field by me, so my paint should still tell a "combat story" and I was not so sure that I could pull it off!

One funny part was that I didnt get a hold on a used MP7 or its foldig sights...., I ended up bying a new MP7, just to get the right ironsights on the freakin gun!:p

Now after all, Im glad I converted it from a CA36 "rifle" to this battle worn KA1.
As I said, Im glad you liked it, and thanks for te comments from "over seas"!

Normally I don't like this style of weapon, but I really do like how this looks - Quite and amazingly good job if you ask me.

The Lettonian February 6th, 2009 12:44

....I may have to imitate you to a degree. That is a beautiful gun.

Cougar[SWE] February 6th, 2009 15:56
