SHOOTSoft Garbage

So I was looking for a new L96 and all the sites said in they're description of the gun that they now only sell with one magazine, all but Shootsoft, so I decide to order through them, Early December this is. Some weeks later with no updates on my order I become irate and ask where it is, it hadn't even shipped yet, apparently some BBs broke in the box and they were giving me 2000 freebies as compensation for the wait, time passes, I receive my gun.

Where to begin, after nearly a month of waiting I recieve: wrong color gun, barrel nearly falling off, BB's all over the place, its a mess, it doesn't even shoot nearly close to 460 fps, missing an aforementioned magazine. And a host of other niggling problems, I'm not impressed and tell them and send it back.

TO MY AMAZEMENT they tell me upon receiving it that it is indeed broken, and that no I cant get my money back, they'll replace it through TSD themselves, here I am nearly 3 weeks after this and still no updates and I'm short 350 dollars. I could have ordered the same thing from buyairsoft and got it in fine condition as I have before in less time than this fiasco. Any recomedations?

mcguyver January 20th, 2009 19:58

Wait for it from Shootsoft, or ask for a refund.

What other options do you have? Not much really.

Styrak January 20th, 2009 20:00

Shitty deal, but I guess you just have to wait (even longer).

Get age verified and buy off someone a bit more legit than an online clearsoft retailer. If for some reason you cannot or will not get age verified, stick with buyairsoft, as they seem to have treated you fine previously. Keep in mind though, that previous performance is not necessarily an indicator for future performance.

Gundy G January 20th, 2009 20:06

buyairsoft's always been a joy, and so has velocity arms, i went to shootsoft for that extra mag, damn

kalnaren January 20th, 2009 20:33

There's more horror stories on this site about buyairsoft than shootsoft...

Gunk January 20th, 2009 20:43

Doesn't Shootsoft use the same AV system as ASC?

theshaneler January 20th, 2009 21:03

only for the higher quality stuff they have a clearsoft section as well

probably because almost everyone on this site knows not to get from them now, the only people who buy from buyairsoft are people who don't come to this site. where as shootsoft WAS a good seller, but all i have heard lately is crap :(

Maybe because our customer dont speak here!

;)

There was a time where shootSOFT was new and have to do is place! Now shootSOFT have more than 1 million page view by month!!

For your l96, it will be the same if you buy it on any retailler!! We have to ask the distributor before accpeting any return and have it exchange! There is also few retailers who we never give you warranty for it!

Whoa... a little exclamation mark happy there? LOL

Brodie_BHD January 22nd, 2009 17:18

I have personally ordered 2 Items from them... first off was my JG Bar10 G spec which came super fast without any delay and no problems at all. Secondly was my L96 which I had problems with. I waited nearly 2 Months for it to arrive with no communication during that time period. Upon arrival I was greeted with a box that said "UTG Shadow Ops Sniper rifle" I was like WTF? I ordered the Well Version of this gun that came with a scope and bipod... So I just open it up anyways seeing how they are pretty much the same gun and to my surprise theres no scope. There was 2 mags but no scope which sucked.

I emailed them asking why they advertised it as something it really wasnt? No reply. I wasnt very satisfied after that and wont be placing anymore orders from them.

I think his bad spelling is due to the fact that his first language is french

Dang, a few seconds before me

stfu, you know nothing about this, he isn't trusted lately because of his bad business practices and lack of communication, not because of his spelling.

lemegacool January 22nd, 2009 20:30

their first language IS french! and they are very professionals, i've talked with them at a game at action commando and they know what they are doing!

I think its alot of a Hit and Miss situation..... some people swear by some retailors and others hate them with a passion some people just have more luck with certain retailers than others.

My first order went flawlessly and I was hoping the same for the second but I just waited far to long and paid to much for something that wasnt 100% what I ordered....although it was pretty much the same thing and it was fully functional it just wasnt as described, and most importantly not what I had paid for.

... A buisness should never be "Hit and miss."

... Think for a second how bad that sounds...

8skippy40 January 22nd, 2009 23:07

legros may be a good guy...i dont really know. but all i had was problems. he wont respond to his emails either until you give him a deadline before opening a paypal dispute.............

DFoxtails May 28th, 2009 01:14

I placed an order with Shootsoft about a week ago and a few days after needed to cancel(unfortuntaely). I have been trying to get a hold of someone there to ask for a refund as they're already received payment but spent 5 1/2 days trying to get an answer. Think I'll be sticking to the ASC store until I get age verified.

Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw May 28th, 2009 01:25

Well if your under the impression that ASCMart sells airsoft guns then you're wrong. They only sell gear and assorted goodies. There is the classified section here but thats it.

but a retailer wouldnt ship a faulty gun out like the one in questoin.... ive seen retailer sale threads where theres a section of broken or damaged boxes....

i wouldnt give them my money again!

Bought my L96 from buyairsoft, go it in 2 weeks, perfect condition! And customer service at buyairsoft is excellent!

+2, I bought 4 guns from them. great service.

whisper_kill May 28th, 2009 08:49

Sounds like all ShootSoft needs is a proper conflict resolution policy, and then solidly and consistently apply it, combined with timely communication. These things can be remedied quickly, a bruised brand... not so much.

Sim123456 May 28th, 2009 09:06

They should also remove their policy to not shipped the item before 4 workings weeks (a month), I personnaly think this is what kill them. Why wait a minimum of 1 month for a gun you can have everywhere else withing 2 weeks.

"Because of the high sale volume, shipping delay
is now set at 20 business days... sorry for the trouble"

Crunchmeister May 28th, 2009 09:10

This usually can be translated to "We don't actually have anything in stock. So you pay us up front, we'll order it then ship it to you when we receive it". When things like this are policy, you have to read between the lines. Don't know if this is the case in specific with shootsoft, but I would suspect it to be. That's how it used to be with their black guns.

Um... this is the shootsoft thread, not buyairsoft.

Sim123456 May 28th, 2009 10:25

Ok, just thought that "high volume sales" would mean that they are sure about selling a lot of airsofts so they could build stock, because of the high volume sales ^^

Malice Army May 28th, 2009 12:23

Personally my order was shipped and received within a week of order. I was really happy with that aspect. My only compliant is why is a Canadian website that does, I suspect, all of its business to Canadians, list all prices in US dollars. While on the surface shootsoft looks cheaper than their competitors , they are not, more expensive actually.

Sim123456 May 28th, 2009 19:48

This is why they do that, to make more money from the people that don't catch this! ^^

I'm sure they still do that with their black guns because i ordered 2 guns from them 4 days apart the full black bodied one order first but the second one a clear receiver is being shipped first. also tho i would like to say other than the shipping wait they have responded to all my emails same day or next day also my clear receiver gun shipped a week before expected so that was also nice. hopefully like the said the full black will be shipped shortly after.

Yup good old drop shipping! Thus the reason they have to contact TSD for a gun replacement.

All the "older" members here will remember all the problems of me being shafted by SHOOTsoft. I (and a couple other members) left LeGROS bad feedback and got retaliatory bad feedback in return for no reasons. Let's just say LeGROS got a warning from an admin and even a "temporary ban" for his troubles.

If anyone wants to know the troubles I had with shootsoft then "shoot" me a PM, I really don't want to open this can of works again.

Dual M-60's June 25th, 2009 14:08

I had to wait over a month to get my gun. They responded to my emails when i sent them however it still doesn't justify having to wait over a month just to have it shipped. Once i recieved the email that it had been shipped, it only took a week to get here.

Con Murder June 25th, 2009 14:19

So a friend had me order him a Mp5 from shootsoft and the 20 business days (5 weeks) sounded so rediculouse I emailed them. They responded, apologized for delay and said they would update me asap all within 24 hours.
It seems they use french for first language and that may be why it takes some time (are the gun boxes bilingual and stuff?) but thankfully they shipped it out within a week and a half. I started reading this thread and shit my pants for the days it took for the gun to arrive. It got here fine, changed my pants and happily tested it out.

kalnaren June 25th, 2009 18:26

If you think 20 business days is unreasonable for Airsoft in Canada, you're never getting a gun.

Silverthorn June 25th, 2009 18:41

Shootsoft does not keep an inventory on hand. He orders as people order their guns. Can't blame him. Not many people can afford to buy lotsa guns and HOPE someone will buy what they thought was good.

At least you know up front that it's minimum 20 days. Now if that delay could be respected...that's another story.

Dual M-60's June 25th, 2009 18:57

I guess thats all right. BuyAirsoft has will ship very fast however it usually takes a very long time for them to get new guns in stock once they are sold out. On Shootsoft you will always be able to buy what you see but it will just take a longer time to ship.

mkeras2 June 26th, 2009 21:34

I ordored a G&G gr16 a3 carbine from shootsoft about five days ago, but it says on their website that it could take 20 days because of high sales volume.

No I had great success with velocity arms, I think only four buisness days.

In all I think that my experience was the average to be expected from shootsoft. That problems have occured is a reality and the knowledge is important when making a decission that consists of saving $10-$50 on a $300-$1000 item.

That said I will do buisness with them again only if I establish contact with them prior to sending money. Just to ease my worries, helps me sleep, stuff like that.

Be thankful it's only 20 days. I remember having to wait several months from certain.. other... retailers.

I bet more people would buy it if they were more honest to the customers.

Fantasyvoyager August 4th, 2009 23:42

I also bought a gun from them, My first question to them was answered quicky, but after paying for the gun, I Have couple of questions as to the make and shipping times for it. It's been 2 days no reply yet, prob due to holidays ending a few days ago, we'll see.

Shootsoft more than just merely sucks.

I orderered from them 3 times and never once got what I ordered on the first try. First time I got a Sig 552 instead of an AK47, second time they shorted me on my order (the one to correct the first order), and third time I ordered a beretta GBB and a UMG AEG and they sent the wrong beretta and no UMG. ANd the only reason I even placed that order was because they gave me a discount. At least I got my money back when I sent the beretta back

Dont you mean..

Note to sel- Stay away from shootsoft, no exceptions?

They'll learn eventually that if they keep this up, nobody will buy anything from them, leading them with one one decision, start caring about the customers. Im thinking VA and BA have decent customer service. I'd rather get a gun in a week than get a broken gun in a month.

cerealmaniac September 29th, 2009 11:55

That needs to be in big bold print, first thing you should see when you go to that site. SHOOTSOFT you get a huge Thumbs DOWN!!!

Does anyone know where there office is? They say it is on the south shore of Montréal. I é-mailed them about 5 times and i got no reply from them concerning an order. Anyone know if they have a phone number?

Tanks.

graff November 24th, 2010 19:30

just look at their ad for the CA P90.. they call it the proline and sportline in the same ad. Kind of a big difference.

G2Sniper November 25th, 2010 22:14

Not to mention their spelling mistake "The Classic Army E90 Sportline Package is an excellent replication of the real E90."

Specs November 27th, 2010 00:09

They also claim that their CA P90 shoots 330fps but it has an M120 spring

Anyone else find it weird that he said he couldn't access the "net" but could somehow access ASC. I dislike dishonest business persons. It's not really a good reflection on them as people.

Not really. All you need to post on a website is a device with a browser... like a smartphone.

If he has an e-mail system that requires SMTP and POP3 access he may not be able to do it from such a device.

why is everyonecomplaining about shootsoft ?

I bought from them last year and there was no problem, except that they didn't have my mp5A4, but changed it to an mp5SD5.

Was I the lucky one ?
