007 Airsoft-Swiss Arms SIG 552
I was wondering if anyone has used or owns this gun and what they think of it?
Is it Tokyo mauri compatible? Does it feel solid will it break easy? Basically is this high quality or just low quality clear soft. here's a link to it on the 007 airsoft site http://www.007airsoft.com/products/htm/aeg-top.htm its the first one on the page |
i searched it up and no one really has said if its good or not mostly just a bunch of pictures of 552's. from what i heard on other forums and youtube it jams and had alot of issues im just checking here.
|
i have the gun, and so do many others on this forum. It is TM compatible:
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...hlight=sig+552 http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...hlight=sig+552 Look up those threads-they pretty much say that this gun is a JG sig 552 |
that first post was really helpful and if it isn't to much of a hassle could you tell me what you think of it and were you got it from. is the buyairsoft.ca the same as the 007airsoft? i just don't want to buy it and find out it sucks. dont want to waste $320. have you had many jams or any problems?
|
I got the gun when it was still 199.99. That was a steal. For $320 i would just get the JG sig 552 non clear version. Same gun, except it is all black. You probably need to be age verified for that.
But, If you still want to buy it, go to airgunsource.com they have it there for $239 i think. The buyairsoft is the same one i think, but i dont know what their service is like. I have only gamed the gun once-no big problems. Im no expert, but the gun shoots. I hit 2 people which is not bad for a newb. |
Cabela's Canada (Fromerly S. I. R.) also has this gun for $220 LINK
As far as jamming... Do not cheap out on BBs. Buy KSC from Forest City Surplus, BB Bastards, or Metal Tech. 0.20g weight at least. Walmart BBs have seams, are not polished, and have irregular shapes. |
Ouch!
Ouch I have no idea they are being sold for a cut throat price of $ 220 CAD.
I got this shipment of 552's when the lonnie wasn't doing so well, I can tell you that my cost is over $ 220 :( The prices of the Swiss Arms SIG 552 is lowered to $ 280 Sadly it looks like these won't be worth my while to carry anymore. Ken |
To be honest Ken most of the ASC retail people dont seem to be able to get the good clear stuff at a fair price so I would suspect there must be a better supplier out there stateside as stores like airgunsource and others sell them for whatever the going exchange is - for example the clear Crosman 3BB shotty goes for $60USD and they sell it for $75CAD... and yet the ASC retailers mark it at $120CAD-$150CAD.
There is a growing market for the clear stuff but the markup where a $100USD gun sells for $350CAD just isnt there with the guns that pass customs easily. |
It not just the us exchange!! If we get them from us, we have the shipping cost, the border and the GST!
if we have a cost of 100US$ + 50US$ shipping + 50CAD$ border and GST that give me a cost of 230CAD$ + 20% (46CAD$) marge = 276CAD$ sale price! And if it coming from Hong Kong it will be more fore the shipping and the border! |
get or dont get
so basically i should not but this gun cause its bad? i just want a nice or atleast passable airsoft gun that is a sig 552 that i can get in canada if youk now any please tell me.

I bought this gun before knowing about ASC. Its not bad.. better than the cheap walmart stuff. I have some feeding problem with it. I used it in a 3-4 hours skirmish this past sunday. I had some great fun except 2-3 stop because of feeding trouble..
If your begining in airsoft, I think its a good idea to buy this gun just for feeling how you like the sport. After some game you can buy a better gun from any retailer on ASC. Or you can try to mod it .. if you break it, its better to break a 200 $ gun than a 800$ one :P |

In fact, I'd have to place an order of 500 guns + to get an additional 5% discount from them! Only 5%..They're sticking to their pricing with Canadian retailers. With an extra 5% I doubt that will change the price much. 500 guns with one brand is a little too rich even for the up and coming Mach1airsoft organization. Support the Canadian dealers if you can. It's appreciated. We're doing all we can, and going about it honestly and legally. At least I am. I get the impression KenC is definitely a stand up guy as well. |
i think that cabelas is able tou put a price of 220$ because cabesla is one of the largest outdoor retailer in the state.
So the one in Canada is taking advantage in the builk order of his brothers state side. And they are backup with not selling only airsoft. |

But while I think you and a few others may get your orders direct from a proper US distributor it is obvious that many are just buying guns from US retailers and then re-selling them. When your customer base can also order those same clear guns at those same US prices then it really makes no sense to carry them much less to charge $100CAD above what someone would pay by ordering that same clear gun themselves. Not for online sales where impulse buying is just a click away. The G&G guns you mentioned are an excellent example of a 'clear' quality gun that is NOT easy to obtain in Canada or the USA so they would clearly be more profitable to carry than Cybergun or Aftermath or Crosman etc. for example: If I want a clear Kraken there is close to 5 Canadian stores online and one ASC retailer who have them at near USD MSRP here in Canada. There is no 'extra $100' tacked on as those stores clearly purchased the guns at USD costs for US retailers which are below the prices the general buying public pay. That is how all proper business's work- you dont generally pay msrp sticker price. Like you most go through a proper dealer and those rates determine your mark up- typically such that you can price your merch at msrp or as close as possible. As I said the obvious 'culprit' here is that some Canadian stores clearly have better suppliers/distributors on the US side of the border and so they can do a Canadian MSRP based on the US price because they are not buying them from other US retailers but actual distributors. lmao LeGros if you are paying $50 in shipping for one gun then another $50 in taxes from the US then I'd suspect your shipper isnt giving you the best rates as the most I ever had to pay for 3 AEGs shipped from the USA with tracking was $36 for shipping and $20 each in taxes for a total of $96 for 3 guns. USPS rates are so low that CANPost rates seem almost sinful in comparison ;) |
well i got that settled. i got lucky and found a TM sig 552 and bought that today. so thanks all who tried to help.

UPDATE: Cabelas is selling the Sig 552 at $164.99. That's damn good.
OFF TOPIC: They've also got Kraken AK-47s priced at $119.99. EDIT: Is it a JG (the Sig)? |
No, Krakens are not JG's. I believe they're WELL rebrands.
JG's are much higher quality. |

Does anyone know what the initial charge time is for the 8.6v batter that comes with the Cybergun Sig 552?
|
If you're going to pay $120 for that Kraken you will be severely disappointed.
300fps with .12g BBs  Quote:
