TF7 from BusinessVision/Airgunsource?

Hey guys. On business visions webpage, they have a Tactical Force 7. Which we all know has a TM7 Gearbox in it, and metal stock, metal barrel and metal RIS Rails.

Heres my question (That which I couldnt ask in the FAQ section. :( )

The TF7 thats listed says availiable in clear version ONLY.

Are they talking about the clear TF7 thats shown here: http://www.umarexusa.com/images/TF7Anim.gif

(Clear with the metal rails, metal stock, metal barrel)

Or some clear version, all plastic version that google knows nothing about?

I ask this because maybe some of you have bought from them before.

Disco_Dante October 13th, 2008 20:27

It doesn't have a TM gearbox. It has a WELL gearbox, which is TM compatible. It is in no way a TM gearbox.

Muffin October 13th, 2008 20:28

It will be the one in the picture that you provided.

Love October 13th, 2008 20:28

Its listed on websites and on this forum to have a TM-7 Gearbox. Search the forum.

Muffin October 13th, 2008 20:32

Its a clone.

Love October 13th, 2008 20:33

You sure? Lots of websites say its a TM gearbox.

Muffin October 13th, 2008 20:36

China clones often mention that they are TM compatible. Unless it is a branch off of TM directly, it won't have a TM mechbox.

Cheesevillage October 13th, 2008 20:36

It is TM compatible.

EDIT: what Muffin said

Cobrajr122 October 13th, 2008 20:39

If your over 18 - get age verified, there are the same SMGs for sale in the sale section. And they are black instead of clear.

Love October 13th, 2008 20:42

I'm only 17, unfortunatly.

Weird. Like, I looked at a few websites and saw it say "TM Gearbox" weird.
I also swear seeing a post saying this had a TM gearbox, and it was a review post by skladfin. I could be wrong.

Cobrajr122 October 13th, 2008 20:44

if your 17, save your money and wait the few months and get a real TM. Don't rush it and eng up paying more to fix a clone.

Love October 13th, 2008 20:46

Well, I want to start airsoft now, due to some fields allowing 16+. Also, by the time I'm 18, I'll just get a real TM7 for my birthday. lol. Its already on my list, and on my price range.

Heck, I could even get a better gun at Xmas, most likely. I just want one now. Just like a kid in a candy shop, ya know?

I do appreciate the tips though.

surebet October 13th, 2008 21:00

Shut up.
Lurk more.
Forget about airsoft until 18.
...

Love October 13th, 2008 21:17

Lol. Surebet, I'll forget about it only if, you come over and play some Hello Kitty with me on my gamecube.

surebet October 13th, 2008 21:20

/facepalm

Love October 13th, 2008 21:21

bahaha. Sorry.

I never reviewed such a thing.

and no, It's not a TM mechbox, its a TM COMPATIBLE mechbox. no clones uses its original's mechbox. Seriously, if I were cloning TM's guns without permission, I wouldn't go to TM and ask "Hey, can you sell me some of ur mechbox so I can use it in my clones?"

Seriously, you REALLY need to gain some common sense.

AND DONT COME BACK

Love October 13th, 2008 21:37

Oh, It wasnt you then. Sorry.

Dont get mad man. Sorry. Jeez.

Wouldnt Tactical Force get in legal trouble for cloning TM's gun?

I know I asked a few questions. Its just, I THINK i saw a few websites that said it was a TM gearbox. Obviously, they were wrong or I read wrong. Again, my apologies.

surebet October 13th, 2008 21:38

Common sense. Get some.

TM themselves aren't licenced in most cases to repro the guns.

Love October 13th, 2008 21:40

I see. Sorry. I'm still learning all this stuff. Give me time, and I'll have common knowledge. You guys have taught me to use the search function, yay!

Muffin October 13th, 2008 21:48

Where exactly are your parents going to get you an airsoft gun for your birthday or Christmas?

Defcon_Carl October 13th, 2008 21:48

based on personal experience i wouldn't recommend TF7. I would go for something like Kraken AK-47 or Lycaon MP5 if you're starting into airsoft, they are cheap and would last a while(with proper handling). If you want quality guns go for TM.

Carl

If you're learning. Accept what you've being told.

Sarcasm, by the way, is the slowest form of wit.

Love October 13th, 2008 22:00

Canadian Tire....

Just kidding.

Probably from 007, or something. Im not too sure, havnt asked them yet.

Sorry again guys. I just got done reading the newbie guide for buying. Awesome guide.

I'll get a Kraken. Its only $40 more. Which is actually a stellar deal for how much better the gun is.

I really do feel like an idiot. Gah.

Will I be forgiven?

pusangani October 13th, 2008 22:26

you are an idiot go away until you get a clue forget what surebet said about waiting till 18 bcuz ur way behind in the common sense dept maybe 23 would be a better age for you to start having big boy toys

007 is closed....for now...

they would have to become verified themselves and buy off the fourms..
you could just wait till your 18 and buy a real gun for yourself...seriously...
you could even just ask for cash for xmas....

They aren't closed. They aren't accepting anymore Preorders, and also they are only selling what they have IN STOCK on their website.
Plus the 007 thread is going well, and looks like they will soon bring their business up the charts.

Crunchmeister October 13th, 2008 22:38

Common sense isn't quite as common as the name implies.

sorry, allow me to re-itterate

007 isn't selling AEG's....at least for now...

and even when ken gets it going again they will only be importing high-end clear guns...right?(please correct me if im wrong on that)

Buying a metal body to replace your clear one will probably be done on the ASC boards anyways, and by the time that kens up and running again, you will probably be 18!

pusangani October 13th, 2008 22:39

They're still selling in the classifieds so mummy and daddy will need to get age verified to buy from them LOL

Love October 13th, 2008 22:39

*phew* Thats good to hear.

If 007 closes, I could get my stepdad to register and get AV'd. Wouldnt be a hassle. 007 has a nice MP5, that I was looking at. I'm sorry about all this question trouble.

I looked at 007s website, they seem to still have metal AEGs up for sale.

I would normally ask for some slack from you guys, but I did ask some stupid questions. Ofcourse a clone of a good gun, isnt going to be as good as the real thing. More mass produced crappy parts.

theguy October 13th, 2008 22:41

kens not importing anymore....click the instock button at the top

Love October 13th, 2008 22:44

Dang. I was looking at the: Tokyo Marui MP5 K A4.

It doesnt say if its instock or not, but its not in the "in stock" list at the top of the page. So, well I guess its out of stock. Thats bad to hear. When the time comes, I'll use the forums or google to look for a similar Marui for a similar price.

Now heres the dreadful question.

I'm gonna buy a kraken, due to it only being $40 more than the TF7, and being way better for the price.

Now, when I get the gun I'm not sure if I'll be comfortable opening it up and spray painting it with Krylon Fusion. Like sure, I know how to spray paint and everything its just I'm afraid of damaging some part of the internals of the gun and having the gun not work anymore.

If I brough a kraken with clear parts still on it, to an airsoft game thats 16+ would I get made fun of, or anything for having a somewhat clearsoft gun? (Just because most clearsoft is crap, although a Kraken is not crap.)

theguy October 13th, 2008 22:48

you wont find anything else on google thats Canadian....

and you would be able to find something cheaper then that on the forums...

surebet October 13th, 2008 22:51

You know what would be even less of a hassle? Shut up, count days until 18, done.

I wouldnt want to get like hassled due to me having a clearsoft. (Even though a kraken is a pretty good clearsoft gun.)

Wow really?! thats terrific, last time i checked kens thread he was still talking about MAYBE importing clear CA sportline....guess i need to go read it again :P

surebet October 14th, 2008 11:27

The clear CA Sportline model is worst than getting syphilis from a noob according to reviews...

The only thing left on my sportline is the body, gearbox shell, and... nope. That's it.

I agree, the G&G guns should be much more friendly.

theguy October 14th, 2008 11:29

Great! i have heard good things about G&G lately

All of these guys can kill you with a Kraken.

Love October 14th, 2008 15:04

Not unless I kill them first...

Whats the difference between the kraken:
http://www.businessvision.net/edge/M...GA%2D611161454

and this Ak47?

http://www.businessvision.net/edge/M...&CategoryID=72

Is the kraken a clone of that AK47, or is that AK47 a clone of the kraken?
For $10 more, less wait, and higher fps it seems worth asking the question.

The Kraken is made by an company called CYMA and rebranded by an American company called Aftermath. CYMA clones TM Guns CYMA's stron gpoints are making AEP's and AK's. The AK-47 is a Double eagle M86 and what I have heard from others is that the stock is very weak and the wood isn't real. By a Kraken to start with and when you get age verified you can get metal receivers, wood grips, and other addons.

The Tactical force MP7 is only good as a sidearm or backup it has shorter range than an AEG. The plastic body is pretty strong survived a fall of my bed,Negative things about the gun is the Front folding grips that don't lock and the charging handle spring is connected to a small piece of plastic.

theguy October 14th, 2008 15:37

FPS means nothing...ever cheap gun advertises high FPS and nothing else, just buy a kraken for SIR or Bass pro
or better yet, wait till your 18

Love October 14th, 2008 15:39

Thanks. I'm getting a kraken. No worries there. I just wanted to know the difference. :)

ShelledPants October 14th, 2008 15:41

I'd like to know what games allow 16+ in Ontario. :|

He keeps talking about it and yet the only mention of underagers playing is if they have a representation from a member already age verified and even then it can be an issue with the game hosts.

Love October 14th, 2008 15:55

Well, I browsed the games section, and saw a few that were 16+ (You have to contact the thread maker before hand). Still.

Also, I'm sure theres some that allow players who are 16+ as long as they have someone thats over 18 to sign for them.

You guys really dislike me, don't you? :(

theguy October 14th, 2008 18:09

perhaps...

I wouldn't say I dislike you.

But you can understand the hostility toward someone who comes in to a forum for the first time loaded with false information and preaching assumptions to the rest. Read more. Post less. /end.

Shrapnel[Op-For] October 14th, 2008 19:07

whats all this non-sense about "daddy will buy me a gun for my birthday, or Santa will drop one down the chimney..." Seriously, I have no problems with people getting nice presents from loved ones, but for f*ck sakes, if you can't afford to pay for your own gun, (hopefully you have a job), than airsoft is very, very wrong for you.

SHÖCK October 16th, 2008 21:35

Lythinca, please forgive this forum for being full of douchey responses and a general hard-on prejudicial hate for new players and younger posters.

We were all 17 sometime. Help him out folks. No need for some of the insults being slung around although I understand the frustration with needing to spoon feed new posters every now and then. This one seems reasonable and he's of age to play in 16+ regions (you can with parental consent in Calgary area). Why post at all if all you are going to do is be hard on the guy? The time it takes for you to flame him or post "read the faq, get age verified, wait and grow up, etc." (in less polite terms) is enough time for you to post something helpful or at least cordial and welcoming.

God this forum is awful sometimes.

Love October 17th, 2008 16:17

Just STFU and wait til you're 18.

If you have questions, don't worry about em cuz they won't matter til you're 18.

Stop trying to get a gun before you're 18.

If you still choose to do so and get in the community's face, then expect the community to get in your's. It's only fair.

Like, I said. I do my research now. Its actually quicker to search the forums, than to post a question and get yelled at if its quite obvious what the awnser is.
