Buyairsoft.ca trouble

Has anyone else had trouble with stuff from buyairsoft.ca???
I had bought the M14 from them. Damaged package sale, " However, each gun has been tested and is in 100% working condition" Or so they claimed. This was not the case. I had to return my gun as it was defective. I had to pay the postage to send back a gun that shouldn't have been shipped. My tracking number told me when it arrived, and that it was attempted delivery, and a card was left for pick-up. It was 2 weeks before they picked it up. Not a word of apology or nothing. Not how I should have been treated. Most of my e-mails were ignored. I am advising people to think twice before buying through them.

pusangani August 20th, 2008 17:43

nobody on asc encourages buying from that site, maybe you should have read about them here before making your purchase, hindsight is 20/20

If you read the reviews on this site, 4/5's of them say to save your money and buy elsewhere.

If you're 18+, get age verified and buy on the forums: there is a far better selection of quality guns there.

On a side note: What was "defective" about the gun?

kalnaren August 20th, 2008 21:00

And people still wonder why we say don't buy from them.

Brona August 20th, 2008 22:01

Didn't know about this place till after. Bugger.
Well if I can help someone else not screw up....

For the side note, The defect was...it shot 30 feet, if you shot it like a mortar. Otherwise it went 20. No power. I don't really know much about the guns and how they work but it seemed like it was a bad seal.

Funny thing in all this is the guy who told me about the airsoft.ca place and the "sale" was the same guy who told me afterwards about this place. Wish he had done it in reverse.

actually for a crappy spring airsoft gun, 30 is not THAT bad. im sure there was a seal issue. what did you expect for $60.

arman August 21st, 2008 00:30

hahahahahahhahahahahah...........

no seriousely.... was it fun throwing your money out the door???

ownzyouall August 21st, 2008 01:00

Unbelivable.

Here try this site http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/ I've recently purchased replacement parts from them. Excellent service. They respond quickly to all my inquries, all within 2 hours every single time.

To my surprise, my order arrived in exactly 2 days as promised. Canada Post even delivered it to my doorstep.

Spectacullar service. I'll remain their customer for quite some time.

CHEERS!!

Brona August 21st, 2008 23:11

I expected exactly what was advertised. And you seemed to have completly missed the point! The replacement I recieved is fine and will suit my purpose and budget.

Brona August 21st, 2008 23:15

I am starting to think that finding this site was not so useful. Only one post here so far has not been a rude bugger and has offered up something useful. Thanks ownzyouall.

Because we expect you to do a little research beforehand.

Gunk August 21st, 2008 23:24

No kidding... a search of buyairsoft.ca came up with 2 pages of stuff... and I'd wager the answer to about 100 impending question we'll get within a weeks time.

Kookamater August 21st, 2008 23:27

I had no problem with them, but I didn't buy some clearsoft springer M14. :/

BeAcH August 22nd, 2008 09:06

What you pay for is what you get, really you should of saved even if it takes you a year to save up for a Tm, G&p and so on. You would of received a warmer welcome IF you had done research yourself, this forum was not designed to spoon feed people.

M0nKeY August 22nd, 2008 09:10

if i had a penny ever time someone was unsatisfied with buyairsoft i'd be runing my own store!

Brona August 22nd, 2008 18:03

You buggers really just don't read do you.
I'll say buggers and keep the thread kinda clean.
1. I don't need spoon fed I am asking if anyone had trouble with a certian company, YES or NO? I will admit that I didn't research the company before the purchase, I went by recomendations of the guys I play with. None of them had any trouble. I had all this trouble because I had to return the gun.
The original transaction went rather well.
2. People who tell me I should "save up" or not bought a clear springer are missing the point as well. The rifle is FINE. This one is. My replacement is good enough for me.
3.I have obviously found a site with people just way more INTO this stuff than me. My thought was to help warn people away from Buyairsoft.ca but, since all you buggers already know every darn thing there is to know....what more can I say.

Flea-ish August 23rd, 2008 01:02

lots of you are pretty damn rude.

with anything, there will be people who can find their ass with both hands, and those who cant, yet.

there's always gonna be noobs. each and every one of you was a noob at one point, so cut the dumb noobs a *little* slack. Of course if you're just out to alienate anyone and everyone who tries to become a member of the ASC community and get advice, then by all means, keep on keeping on.

tycho August 23rd, 2008 01:12

If you stay for a week you'll notice the only people that get shit on are people that refuse to put in any effort with the search button...there are dozens upon dozens of threads about buyairsoft.

Yes, the OP admitted he didn't read any reviews of it, but we didn't need another thread saying how bad it is...

I don't think anyone is out to keep new members out. We just get tired of being asked the same tired bullshit everyday.

There is nothing wrong with being a noob as you said we all were at some point but when you are obviously too lazy to do your own research then you are going to get flamed guaranteed.

And if you admittedly did not do your own research and then want to come here and rant about it and get flames in the process then do not get upset about it and DO NOT get uppity and attempt to give us any sass because that will be end of your life here on ASC

Flea-ish August 23rd, 2008 16:48

hey, i have an idea.

Sticky a thread about retailers, where you have a vote as to whether or not they are reliable/ship times/prices. Maybe a 5-star system, or just the percentage yes/no format that forum polls usually have.

then you could have a place where noobs could go to see what the community thinks of all the sellers.

sorry if this has already come up, and this is one of the daily noob posts :P

*by the way, pusangani, you should have just called me captain sassypants and made a joke out of it, i would have laughed about as *much, and you wouldn't have come off as Mr. Seriouscat, when there's nothing to really stress about. ;)

As per your suggestion we have a review section for retailers, I do agree that making this information for available (spoonfeedable) for noobz would cut down on these types of threads and might help in the long run. However the average lazyass that comes thru here making these lame kinds of threads will not even bother to read such a thread, the FAQ section is stickied but we still get dum threads asking question that are answered there so what then?

I didn't think you were being rude and sass comment was not directed at you at all but if you wanted me to call you Captain Sassypants then I'll be happy to oblige ;)

And trust me I don't stress over shattered noobz

Yours truly
mr. Seriouscat
LOL

I hate fire, and I love airsoft. God willing, I can get into a game with the guys from Barrie. Gotta ask if they let under-18 play with parental consent, but my MB03 needs some reliability upgrades first.

if they do let you play, ask if there is an aeg rental available, it'll be a more worthwhile first experience guaranteed, a stock well mb03 vs aeg's is like a crosman clearsoft springer pistol vs a gbb, you gonna get raped lol

Hundreds of CORRECT people.

Leopard2a6m August 24th, 2008 01:06

Most of these "people" that are responding so poorly and unprofessionally arent worth arguing with. I was lucky that when I first got into airsoft I found a good team where they were happy to answer any and all questions about airsoft. A lot of these people also spend anywhere from 90% to 99.9% of they're conscious life on a computer and therefore think they're opinion is the only opinion that matters. So anyway I'm starting to ramble here if you cant afford a $600 rifle you can always opt for something like the Kraken AK-47 which from what I heard last was going for $160 bucks at Cabela's/SIR in Winnipeg, and then upgrade to a metal kit and upgrade the internals when its affordable to you.

Brona August 24th, 2008 12:08

Yea. Some people who are worth chatting with. Just gotta sort through tonnes of crap. Too many buggers living outta momma's basement with nothing but time and money to spend on their hobby. (cause momma's too nice to charge rent)
Couple of buggers thought I was gonna leave. What your little posts have hurt my wittle feelwings and I gonna go way now. HA.

Scooby Steve August 24th, 2008 13:44

That's the spirit! Just search before you post something as chances are there's already a thread about it and you can add your experience to that thread rather than starting a new one. Case in point I was poking around on YouTube and came across the AA-12 shotgun. A search showed there were already some threads about it so I didn't bother.

You beat me to it, well said!! some day the "Grey locks" mentality will die out, the.. I told ya so quips and totally original shit on you answers are NOT what new people are looking for, their looking hopefully for mature responses to their question, if they wanted a lecture on how brilliant an airsoft purchaser we all are, they could get that from they Ma or pops!!

Rawkout August 24th, 2008 16:50

i bought from buyairsoft.ca, my tracking number didn't work for about 5 days or something and it took 9 days to get to my house BUT... im still happy, i got what i ordered, everything worked just as it should.

Hey,

Sorry to see you got flamed for being new and too trusting. As you have learned your lessons from this experience, ALWAYS do a bit of research before you purchase. Another thing, you can always check the classifeds in this forum once you got age verified and make sure you deal with people having some good trader ratings to ensure you don't get screwed again. Hope you don't get turned off by the sport. There are plenty of good people on this forum (and of course there are also some not so nice ones).

gmds44 August 30th, 2008 22:14

Yep, I made couple of purchases from them, bad service, long delivery, and worst of all, they sent me the wrong item TWICE!

jimmy2222 September 3rd, 2008 17:21

My dad bought one of those and he hasn't had any problems with it. He said the only thing he found wrong with it was that you can't screw on the sight rail and it's a bit loose towards the bolt (even though the scope is pretty useless).
I can't wait to get age verified so I can get my own.

Sarpedon September 7th, 2008 23:30

Yes... BUT

Yes, I do agree that buyairsoft.ca does not have the best service, but I'm assuming the m14 you purchased was the plastic $60 version. You only spent $60, so stop whining please.

Spike23 September 8th, 2008 17:49

Phew i am luckly i read about that site.

Drache September 8th, 2008 18:00

I've done probably 6 purchases from them, all very smooth! Right item everytime and 1 week to my door (including weekends)
