Cadpat Kit
Well, I know the only Cadpat gear I have is my BDUs and knee pads, but here we go. I basically just took pieces here and there and made myself a loadout. Looks like an old CF MP helmet with some scrim I put on. Some old chest rig, I believe it's for Grease guns. It works good for G36 mags anyways. And just a belt with more ammo pouches and a butt pack. Yes, I do plan on getting actual an Cadpat loadout, eventually. This is not really a CF impression.

looks good on ya

looking good man i like the helmet scrim, i made one for mine and everyone makes fun of it but i like them and its better than just the plane helmet
|
I prefer the scrim too. It also breaks up the from of the helmet quite well.

Nice. I like the helmet.

i like to think so

haha... I'm not scared of headshots, just prefer the look. Although, that helmet is quite heavy so I doubt I could actually wear it for an OP.

Either way, nice kit dood. Makes me want to get a cadpat kit goin'. |
That's a nice load out. I think that chest rig you have is a C-2 bra, not for grease guns. The M-3 Grease gun used a staggered column .45 cal magazine. I couldn't see it all that well but what you have looks like the chest rig that was issued to C-2 gunners in the eighties, that would fit the G-36 mags. (In case you didn't know, the FNC2A1 & 2 were a heavy barrelled, fully automatic, magazine fed section automatic weapon. It was a beefier version of the main battle rifle and had a bi-pod on the front.)

This is my my CADPAT loadout - Gen 1 CADPAT BDU, M4 vest in CADPAT, CADPAT drop-leg holster, CADPAT drop-leg dump pouch, issue CF helmet, CADPAT hydration backpack and my good ol' OD shemagh.

Kos- It's not a Gallet. Its an old one, I'm guessing from the 70s-80s maybe. No clue really. Something similar to an M1. There is an inner shell and the outer metal one. Its an MP too.
IndiaSixtwo- I'm not really sure what chest rig it is, but I believe you're right. The only reason I called it a Grease gun rig, is because I saw the same(very similay) rig for sale. It was said to be for the Grease guns. Crunchmeister- Very nice loadout. Mine hasn't cost me much, yet. It's the vest and leg rigs that are so expensive. I love the C7. I'm planning on simply taking an M4 and paint the appropriate parts. I'd put an EOtech on it. It would basically be a painted C8. Thanks for the comments by the way. |

I have a C8A2 in construction as well, complete with C8 metal body and an EOTech 552 replica. I'm having mechbox issues, so it's not up and running yet. But I really like my CA M15 / C7A1. I like the rifleman position, and with its tightbore barrel, this gun can reach out and touch people a fair distance away with a whopping 21 bb/s rate of fire. It's a great gun and I love it. I keep the Elcan sight on that one because I like the range. For shorter ranges, I prefer the EOTech or iron sights. Once I get my C8 running, I'll be sending off my CA receiver to have the Diemaco / CF markings professionally engraved and have a proper C7A1. I don't know, but the C7A1 look just doesn't appeal to me really. |

For me, the helmet isn't so much about head protection as for the realism of the game. There's only so close we can obviously get to real combat with airsoft, but every little bit of the game counts if someone is looking for realism.
Some people go to great extent and expense to have 100% real-world loadouts and accurate uniforms to replicate the combat units of their choice. As part of that, some people choose to wear helmets to replicate that look. In my case, I've chosen the CF soldier and part of their combat loadout is the helmet. So I wear it as part of my loadout. |
Yeah, I don't believe in spending hundreds for all issue stuff, but I will get something issue here and there.
PS-I have no problem with someone get all issued stuff, I'm just talking about myself. |
I'll tell ya what...sweat your balls off for a day and soak through the shirt and vest and then you'll be having fun ;)
|
I can't wait to get out there with my gear and just have fun.
Update: I just picked up a pair of Cadpat gloves and another mag pouch. |
Couldn't really tell with all the shit hanging off it. Looks good regardless, though I'd still look into upgrading.
|
Yeah, it's pretty heavy, and old...lol. I'm still not sure if I want to blow 150$ on a helmet though, when I can maybe get a MICH(replica) with a Cadpat cover. Keep in mind, University is coming up very, very fast for me. I kinda picked a wrong time to get into the sport...lol. I don't even have a good gun yet, so I'd prefer not to get expensive gear now. Maybe later.
Anyways, thanks for the comments. |
A helmet isn't necessary. It's just a matter of preference, really. And like you said, a MICH replica with CADPAT cover will fill the role quite nicely without breaking the bank.
|
Yeah, I've got to use my money wisely.

Also, your doing a lot better for kit then me man, cant wait to see you on the field. |
I was actually thinking of switching, would be cheaper too...lol.
I also just bought a Cadpat hydration pack from CPgear. Very nice, and well built. "Also, your doing a lot better for kit then me man, cant wait to see you on the field." Yeah, but my gun isn't worth much...I'm hoping on getting an M4 and turning it into a cheap C8 version. I can't wait till next year. Damn! It's gonna be fun. |
