Paypal and WGC
Well I tried emailing them, but I have yet to receive a response. Does anyone know if WGC takes paypal and if so, what is their paypal info. I have received their bank info for EMT, but i dont have that set up, and i would rather pay with paypal. If anyone knows what to put in for the paypal info please let me know.
Thanks, Donster 125 |

I was trying to order last night as well but If you read the facts it says they onyl accept Money wire for customers ordering from Canada. If that is the case, that sucks!

Go to www.wgcshop.com
On the left, click "Inquiry & FAQ" Click "Payment" All the details are there, as well as the PayPal address. btw, if you select "PayPal" as your payment method when you check out, they would give you that information. It looks like you selected "Money Wire" as your payment method, which is why they gave you that banking information. That banking information is also not for an EMT. EMT's can only be sent and accepted within Canada to the big five banks of Canada (TD, CIBC, Royal Bank, Scotiabank & BMO). Money Wires cost at least $30 and upwards of $50 or more on top of the amount you're sending. |
can i still pay them via paypal? and it says that i have to mail them once i deposited the money. do i use the address that they sent me?
|
I hope so, I'll try again to order tonight. But if guys look at their faq section. It does say there they only accept wire transfer. But if people are ordering via paypal then I guess its only a front?
|
since we're on the topic.... how would you "wire" money? Same process as DD?
|
ok, i sent the money via paypal and mailed them saying so. i also included my order number with the paypal payment, so when they receive the money, they will see what order it is for. thanks for all your help guys :)!

Actually, now that I think about it... they use HSBC. I should ask my buddy at HSBC if you actually can do a DD to an account in Hong Kong that way, but I have a feeling the complications involved with give me "no" as an answer. Money Wires are done by calling up your home bank and telling them you'd like to do a money wire to a bank in Hong Kong in US funds. They'll proceed to ask you for information such as the account number, account holder's name, address of the account holder, receiving bank's name, swift code, receiving bank branch's address, etc etc. They then proceed to take a minimum of $30 from your account, plus another final receiving amount which can not be disclosed by your home bank (because they simply don't know the cost - it is charged by the receiving bank and they deduct it from the amount received.) |

Directly from their "Methods of Payment" area of the order checkout: For countries where airsoft is illegal, such as Austrailia, Canada, Philippines, Thailand etc., We only accept money wire as a form of payment. Further, we will not provide any warranty guarantee or money back guarantee for customs confiscation. * Paypal / Credit Card - Via "Paypal" / Limit USD2000 / No additional charge - Online Credit Card Transfer / Limit USD200 / 5% additional charge ( Visa & Master ) * Bank to Bank Direct Transfer - For International Customers No Limit / 5% off - Order amount under USD300, Additional charge USD7 |
well i sent them the money. worst comes to worst, thy refund it to me, or they just ask me to send them more to make up for the difference.
|
I actually tried going to HSBC and doing a DD that way but with no luck. Actually the man behind the counter seemed kind of mystified as to why I would want to do such a thing but, as he put it, the accounts in Hong Kong were unavailable for him to access. There may have been more, but bank stuff taxes my brain and it all becomes a mumbled drone...
|
well i sent them the money. its not like they will keep it. Especially since i put in the order info. they will just see it as a fuck up on my part and charge me the extra difference.
|
so i have yet to get an email response from WGC. i am thinking of just canceling my paypal payment and starting over. For those of you with more experience with WGC, should i wait it out a bit more or cancel my payment?
Second question, how do i actually cancel a payment via paypal. Im new to that and have no idea. |
The way WGC work, if you owe them money, they e-mail you 1-2 days after asking for it, or what you want to do.
|
WGC = Website is Goat's Cunt
They have the worst e-store I've ever seen... User-unfriendly as they come. |
well i contacted Paypal and actually managed to speak to a person. Worst comes to worst (i placed a second order for the same item and paid properly with paypal), if they they the money from the other order, i file a claim dispute and get my money back.

and if you filled a second order and paid for it, you will have your parts in double, that is all. It is a pain in the A to get a refund from PayPal. I am using it since 2003. It is almost impossible to cancel a payment, and IF they do, it will be after they will have done a LOT os research. They WILL find that you placed a second order and they will tell you that you only had not to. |
well hopefully WGC or paypal will understand. I really dont want to end up $185 in the hole cause selling that metal slide for the Mk23 will be a bitch.
