Thanks |
Use proper english and grammar please.
As far as I can understand from your....explanation....check the magazine follower where it contacts the slide catch. Is it worn down at all? Also, does the slide catch move freely with the slide off? And is the slide going all the way back on each shot (so it can catch on the last shot?) |
the slide goes back on every shotit move freely and the the mags are brand new it is still happing
|
ok iv been screwing with it now for almost an hour it still does it

Alex, I'd like to buy a few periods.
Man, it reads like yo uare going on at full blast and none of what yo uare saying makes any sense. Slow down, explain proplery, someone (including myself) might be able to help you. But since I haven't a clue what the hell you are describing, I didn't bother reading it twice. I'm well familiar with both the KSC G17/19 and G18/23 so I might be able to help you, but please, calm down and describe it properly, it sounds like you are about to have a very large liquid shit happen soon and you are typing as fast as you can in order to get to the shitter before it makes you walk funny. Trust me, I type funny when I gotta large piss about to happen. |
alright when i pull the slide back with a mag in, the slide lock will only go about a Qurter way up the litte slit were the lock sits. When i go to put a new mag in it releases and pops of the frame. It does the same thing when i pull it back and relase it with no mag the slide again pops off.

The whole slide comes OFF?! Jesus! You need a stiffer takedown spring, and a stiffer mag catch spring methinks.

Dude, take the slide off, and check out the slide catch lever. Inside there is a pointy part, that gets lifted up by the magazine follower, locking the slide back after the last shot. Use a pair of needlenose pliers and gently bend that pointed part down. The slide catch is made of sheet steel, not pot metal, so don't worry about it breaking. You just want to bend it down about 1mm, whichwould raise your slide catch (the part where it meets the slide) up about 1mm as well. Should fix your problem. Now that I see the pics, my upgraded G19 has its slide pop off when the slide catch is released and no mag in it. It's wear on the cam part on the outer barrel, and also on the takedown plate that holds the outer barrel in place. I'd assume replacing the takedown plate would stop this, but it's not something I've done myself yet. |
alright thanks ill try it see if it helps were can i get a take down plate
|
Send Jugglez a PM, he'll be able to order one in for you.
|
alright but after i bent it it starts to bend back after i put in the mag

Sounds like his is made of foil, the spring in the mag isn't THAT strong to rebend a piece of steel a bit under a mm thick.
|
so it could be foil and i need a new one

PM Jugglez.
|
alright thanks

Just checked the spare in my parts bin, it's actually over 1mm thick, so it sounds like yours is possibly busted from over bending. Think about if it's worth it to you, to pull out the entire trigger assembly and hammer assembly just to get the slide to lock back properly. Weigh the two basically. YOu could fuck your gun more by going after that "slide releases when I put a fresh mag in" thing, my KSC MK23 does that as well, but a big deal to me. Slide popping off when yo urelease it with no mag is a pain, but not affecting the functioning of it, more affecting the unloading of it. Then again, some people prefer 100% from their guns, either for looks and functionality, I just want mine to shoot right because that's why I play airsoft, to shoot people. And I put functionality and reliability over cosmetic stuff, simply because I'm not a poser for pics above playing. I can deal with little quirks when the gun plants BBs every time on the other guys.

well isee i might just leave it
