CQB + plastic handguard =
 

Was working on a local guys gun (seized mechbox) and we noticed something. In the last CQB mill game in Quebec someone shot the handguard on his M4A1, this is the result:

Guess TM handguards aren't rated for 350fps hits.

Maybe because of the cold?

should they have heat shilds in them that would help and dont sya it wouldnt have plastic bends hit metal kentic enerjy is dissplasced.

i said if their was a mock heat sheild then the plastic would have flexed until stoped by the heat sheild. thats what i said.

A heat shield is INSIDE the handguard, so it would have still broken through the plastic.

Could have been from the cold, was around -10 in the building during the game. We just thought it was funny as hell when we found the hold, would have been even better if the BB was still inside but it fell out one of the holes in the bottom of the handguard.
