getting one tomm anyone know much about these?

this is the description i got for it.

MP7 Marui Clone- Tactical Force TF7

Metal Rails
Gearbox: Metal
Magazine Capacity: 40
Hop-Up (Back Spin): Yes, Adjustable
Recommended BB's: 0.2 Gram
Approx. Velocity: 250-270 FPS (0.2 Gram BB's)

killabeezattacc February 24th, 2008 01:46

no brand, no pictures? Plus that description doesn't even mention the model of the gearbox. Seems shady. Most of the time, the clones have somewhere near, even more occasionally muzzle velocity then the real counterparts. 270 fps seems pretty low. Looks shady, I could be wrong.

skalnok February 24th, 2008 01:50

brand name is tactical force. and for a gun taht small 270 is a nice speed to be shooting at in my opinion.

surebet February 24th, 2008 09:15

Link?

Brit ter February 24th, 2008 09:53

I,m getting one from Bob the angry potato , he sells them !

surebet February 24th, 2008 09:55

Consider editing out the seller's name...

LUTNIT February 24th, 2008 11:08

I have one of these, chronies 260-265fps with BB Bastard .20's (is commonly advertised as shooting 270-280fps.) Front vert grip doesn't lock into position, the sights are garbage and no matter how you adjust them they will never line up with the BB's, but for the price and the fact that its quite decent, its a nice gun. I ordered a pack of MAG midcaps for mine and added a mini AN\PEQ with the external battery mod, 7.2V 1500mAh NiMh, just thought the stock ROF was kinda lacking.

Shirley February 24th, 2008 11:33

buyairsoft.ca
They have them.

Xx William xX February 24th, 2008 11:37

Had them. Not in stock anymore.

Bob the Angry Potato February 24th, 2008 12:32

Hahahha, yeah.
Get verified, there's some in the Classified section for a paltry fee.
All black, they perform fairly well- good weight to them too, my only gripes are the trades (no big deal, really, and don't detract from anything).

Also, the front grip on mine seems to have a lock, and the sights are naturally garbage anyways- but they work well for CQB, so I digress. Take 'em off and replace it with an RDS, and you're in the clear.

Azriel_Strife February 29th, 2008 23:42

Good gun, my friends has been thru 10000 rounds with no problems. Looks good painted flat black. The sights are indeed total crap. in fact the rear is actually crooked on the threads on this one.

other than that it's great, just don't lose your charger or you'll be taping your R/C battery charger onto the leads of your battery :D

happy killing!

IIRC, it clocks in faster than a TM MP7

But...putting in a lower voltage battery in....would give it less ROF.

???

He added mah and kept the same voltage. If it was a higher quality battery and higher mah ROF should increase...

Azriel_Strife March 1st, 2008 13:13

Yup, the factory battery is 450mah 7.2v. Wouldn't want more than a 7.2 on these guns, as the gearbox is kinda skimpy, it could crack easily with a higher rate of fire.

Wilson0112 July 13th, 2008 10:39

I have one and it makes a great back-up weapon because even with the high cap it hardly holds anything. It shoots way more than 270fps, I was hit of the rebound on the leg and it drew blood.

Skladfin July 13th, 2008 12:21

haha necro much?

in any case I'm considering purchasing one as well. I wonder if I could fit a lipo inside...

Brit ter July 13th, 2008 12:25

I don,t think a lipo will fit ,you would have to also rewire the whole thing!

LeetG July 13th, 2008 13:00

lol Ill try wiring to the exterior...

25bbs a second!

pvted August 2nd, 2008 21:56

I thought I was the only 1 who bought this, it's actually not bad for the price. I wonder cud it take sum upgrades, such as springs? One more thing, the sights are actually useless like you guys say, and the hop up is so-so IMO. And I wuddn't try going lipo on this, even though there are metal parts it just feels cheap. I wuddn't be surprised if it turns in to a airsoft grenade.

pvted August 2nd, 2008 21:58

oh, almost forgot. I got mine chronied at about 250fps (the FPS is slightly inconsistent) w. TM .20's

BHONG August 3rd, 2008 01:36

This gun is in the mail on my way to my house, I was reading on a retailer, (airgundepot.com) and they wrote this for the gun.

Full Size - ABS Plastic and Metal
Velocity: 300.00 FPS with .20 gram BBs
Rate of Fire: Semi and Full Auto
Gear Box: TM MP7
Battery Type: Custom

a marui gear box sounds alright.
Looking forward to getting this in the mail.

dpvu August 3rd, 2008 02:09

You better have ordered the clear one and even then you should hope customs doesn't take it.

Brit ter August 3rd, 2008 09:50

I have had mine for some time now ,still fires great I use 100 rnd. mags on mine and it makes for a great back up weapon . Mr. Evolution is scared of it on full auto , It has a mean rate of fire!

airgundepot.com is a Canadian retailer.

And why do you think having a clear body matters?

No they're not. Not only is airgundepot.com based in the USA, they specifically say in their faq they do not ship to Canada. They don't ship international at all.

Brit ter August 3rd, 2008 11:19

The body on my MP 7 is black!

Kookamater August 3rd, 2008 20:23

They look great when they're painted.

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...r/DSC00769.jpg

For the price, it's a great little SMG. You get what you pay for.

pvted August 4th, 2008 00:17

it actually looks alright, wut paint did u use? Also, is anyone aware of any joint that sells TM mp7 parts? I did a google search and apparently parts are rare. I just have a feeling that my mp7's internals are not gonna last.

Yes I am aware of that, I ordered from http://www.sirmailorder.ca/show_prod...cfda7d1c59c8fb

Shrapnel[Op-For] August 4th, 2008 03:24

how much was that with shipping from them? Pretty nice pricetag.

Kookamater August 4th, 2008 03:54

I think mine was about 200$ or so shipped with taxes and all, and it was on sale too.

I just used a krylon black camo ultra flat paint. Works well.

Shrapnel[Op-For] August 4th, 2008 04:02

I meant bhong from where he ordered.

Kingsix August 10th, 2008 20:10

$99 at basspro shop if I remember correctly.

Huron August 23rd, 2008 22:01

My brother has one of these, only problems are the stock, the rear sight (same as everybody) and the foregrip. The stock unlocks if you push it a certain way with your shoulder. The foregrip doesn't lock into place (should it?).
The rear sight is crooked a bit, big surprise. One question, do mags designed for the Marui fit? On WGC they said that the replacement Marui magazine is "Suitable for Marui MP7A1 Only" (exact quote, not my typo).

Brit ter August 24th, 2008 07:53

I have Star high caps in mine they fit and work great!

beert August 28th, 2008 19:00

I'm looking to buy this gun too and the site i looked at said these were 300fps w/ .20's. Did they come out with a new one or was the site just lying about the gun. The site was airgundepot and I didn't think they had a bad rep but you never know.

TCLP August 29th, 2008 01:22

With .20's you should have about 245fps thats what mine has.

TokyoSeven August 29th, 2008 01:26

Confirmed.245fps pushing 250fps with .20g BBs

black nos August 30th, 2008 13:29

i got this just yesterday and it broke... well actually the mag broke, it dosent feed the BB's to the gun... (but im returning it for another one so ima say its the gun not the mag). anyway, sights are garbage (so i bought an, adjustable lazer sight). helps alot. more of a point-and-shoot cause as people said B4, sight are trash... the fore grip feels like it trys to lock, but easily pulls bac. my stock works fine... one thing i noticed, most of the black paint on the metal pieces (barrel, sights) all seem to be chipping... and the orange tip isnt glued, it can be easily pulled off... dont even think of being conpetitive with it, without some mid, or hi-cap mags. that lo cap will run out in like 3 and a half seconds in full auto...

Brit ter August 30th, 2008 13:31

works much better on star 100rnd. mags!I cron. it at 270 with 20gr. and 12 rnds a sec.

black nos August 30th, 2008 14:29

would any1 kno y the spring dosent feed the gun.. is it cause its a crappy clearsoft, or trying to cram one or 2 more BBs into the mag (might of happened a coupe timez lol)

add some silicon to the mag

Kingsix September 3rd, 2008 02:55

Might have some foreign material in the magazine. When the magazine is empty does the nub that pushes the bb's visible on the top of the magazine?

i just took it back for another one lol :D

beert September 8th, 2008 19:01

ok saw a youtube vid that said this gun was 290 pushing 300 w/ .2's ????!!!!
WTF

beert September 8th, 2008 20:10

oh, here is the link
http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...rch_type=&aq=f

Sarky September 10th, 2008 22:48

These things arent that bad for CQC. Maybe a external battery mod and the FTK kit from redwolf and it should be a killer. Also Mag 100rd mid caps work fine with this gun.
EDIT:Is anyone having problems when trying to go to the redwolf site? It seems not to me working for me.

beert September 11th, 2008 18:16

yeah, did you watch the vid? it's pushing 300 fps w/.20 bbs.

Kingsix September 11th, 2008 23:04

It's only a poor mans chrony, it is a rough estimate. I have a TF-7 and it's a pretty good for it's price needs more mags though XD.

Flea-ish September 14th, 2008 00:43

i've been looking around for a replacement foregrip for it, cause that would be a dealbreaker for me, to not have the foregrip lock. I've used a Galaxy mp7, which does have a locking grip, and comparing the two, the TF7 just feels pretty inferior overall.

Hopefully there's a galaxy floating around for when my age verification makes it into the system. (fingers crossed it happens this week.)

lemegacool September 16th, 2008 21:05

i have one of theses(clear) and i have just onde thing to say: CQB this is the perfect weapon for cqb or sniper backup. overall great quality but BUY MORE MAGS 40 rds is a bit low. and for thoses who are saying that clear guns ruins the realism of airsoft look at mine , it was a clearsoft...;) "krylon camo"

DJBackfire September 16th, 2008 21:27

I have one of them, they are pretty good actually, but I have a small problem with the clip it comes with, I can only fit 33bb's into it while it is supposed to fit 40...WTF

It's a mag. 33 and not 40? Errr what bb's are you using? Anything jammed in the mag?

RedSteel666 September 16th, 2008 21:55

I'm selling one of these if people are interested.

Flea-ish September 16th, 2008 22:07

thats easy. buy a mid or high-cap.

star makes good mags

DJBackfire September 16th, 2008 22:30

im using .20 and for some reason i have no idea why i called it a clip not a mag. And i only bought it see if I liked playing airsoft. Hopefully next summer im going to get an ICS MP5 to use

beert September 18th, 2008 15:14

hey i have a 310 fps (.2's)rifle and i was wondering if i could put the spring it in this mp7? i know its not a big difference but i want to be sure im goin' a little over 300

Kingsix September 21st, 2008 10:42

No the MP-7 is an AEP not an AEG so it needs an AEP spring.

beert September 22nd, 2008 15:11

ok thanks

is the tokyo mauri an aeg, if not is there an aeg mp7 out there

Harbinger of Darkness September 22nd, 2008 15:27

No. There is no AEG version of the MP7. Everything currently out there is a clone of the TM, which as stated above is an AEP and needs an AEP spring.

beert October 1st, 2008 20:41

alright thanks

Yeah, they fit. Just need a little tap and pull to confirm locking of mag.

marcwhite December 20th, 2008 17:13

mp7 or kraken

what would you reccomen this or a kraken?

Disco_Dante December 20th, 2008 17:18

For what? AEPs are great for CQB, but are balls for anything else. Get a kraken for all around use.

kraken hands down. nothing wrong with this gun, just that kraken shoots harder and is very durable even as a clone.

TokyoSeven December 20th, 2008 20:02

I would say Kraken, as it has a full sized mechbox, with easily available uprades and is all around sturdier and more reliable when working internally with than the MP7. The MP7 itself is what is called an AEP, it has a smaller custom sized mechbox which does not put out as much power as regular mechboxes. Upgrades for the MP7 internals can be difficult to find at times.

Karnage December 20th, 2008 20:34

I played with on the of the tactical force mp7s a few weeks back and was extremely impressed. Especially with the ROF coming from a 7.2v battery. I'd go with the mp7 for indoor games if thats your plan. krakens are too powerful out of the box for indoor events and too long to be decently manouverable in small areas. For outdoor however they would be great.

Thenooblord January 20th, 2009 08:54

For thos complaining that the magazine wont feed the BBs, id reccomend turning the gun upside down with the mag removed, looking intho the chamber, and see if the air nozzle is moving when you fire. the plate that actuates the air nozzle snapped in half on my TF7, preventing BBs from entering the chamber.

Yareking July 15th, 2009 16:00

Do you know if ''TM MP7 50rd Locap Mag'' Works with the MP7 Marui Clone that buyairsoft.ca have? i planning on getting this clearsoft for the look ^^
