Prices make me want to /wrists!

This is kinda random but with all the posts lately about prices being nutty I thought I'd throw this out there...

This isn't a cry or a rant! It's just 430AM and I can't sleep.

I've been looking to sell my current AEG for a while now and wanted to pick up either a TM M14 (I want one that looks like the one I use in COD4, lawl) or a VFC SCAR-L (Black of course)

Anyways I was window shopping at AA, thinking I might be able to afford an M14 even if I don't find a buyer for my gun, and then I see that they are 840 bucks apiece now. Last time I considered buying one they were 700 :( :( :(
A SCAR is definitely out of the question now as well...

I'm unemployed. An insomniac. And now I'm heartbroken. Anyone got a job opening? Will work for airsoft. PM me.

Well maybe it is kind of a rant. meh.

PS: Seriously, I want an M14 like the one in COD... You sell now kay!?

*edit* I don't really want to hurt myself... uh, poor choice of phrase I guess

spacemoose January 24th, 2008 05:38

And this makes you want to slit your wrists?

There are people who have REAL problems. And i don't think they slit their wrists.

StRiCkEn January 24th, 2008 05:41

Well I wasn't really expecting to be taken seriously... That phrase gets said a lot in my guild on warcraft. Anyways I guess, no, I don't really want to cut myself. But it does make me sad

StRiCkEn January 24th, 2008 05:44

Say, why are you online at this time of day anyways?

Cause I have time to doddle before I leave for work.

I pose the same question to you now.

StRiCkEn January 24th, 2008 05:46

Can't sleep. Listening to some radio replays. And posting dumb things on an internet forum, apparently. What kind of job do you work?

I'm the garbage man.

And before you (like everyone) ask(s), Yes, I do get paid well.

StRiCkEn January 24th, 2008 05:52

Nah that's cool man, I respect that.

Thats also cool. 9 out of 10 people ask me that after they ask what I do for a living. I figure all the tacky bling my trash man cheddar gets me would get them a clue.

StRiCkEn January 24th, 2008 06:06

I lol'ed reading that, took me a while to decipher it. My uncle lives in Mississauga, works for Westfare Foods. He's gotta wake up about the same time as you I think. Has to get on the 401 which from what I hear is bat shit crazy if you don't get on early enough. I can't imagine living in GTA, everything's so epic there compared to Saskatoon. What's the traffic like when you're making your rounds?

Firewalker January 24th, 2008 06:20

You could always give handjobs for airsoft, it's a chance to be employed AND get what you want...

I know I have. It's the only way these days. Either you're a CEO and earning all the airsoft you want, or your pimp slides you enough bb's to eventually trade up to a full blown AEG.

I'm like Bob Saget in Half Baked... Except, instead of coke, it was an AEG.

StRiCkEn January 24th, 2008 06:29

lol, well let's hope it never comes down to that. But your given options may prove to be the only viable. And seeing as I don't have the aducation for a CEO position... /sigh

StRiCkEn January 24th, 2008 06:35

Alright well the sleepies are here so I'ma head to bed before they wear off. See you in... 8 hours or so I'd say.

Shirley January 24th, 2008 08:02

If you're unemployed, you got to use your money wisely. Maybe paying for car, insurance, house? Even them out, and when you do find a job again, work for your M14.

Its because AA's pricing now shows the guns after tax.

Danke January 25th, 2008 14:04

It's like buying a house in Vancouver or taking a really hot bath. At first you think no F-ing way, but then later on it's "hey that's only a half a mil" and you'e acclimatized.

Donster January 25th, 2008 14:18

007 sells the TM M14 for 700

So what tax is A&A charging? I live in Ontario so Mark can only charge 5% GST. So a $700.00 AEG would cost $735.00 with tax in. To go from $700.00 to $840.00 would be something like 20% tax. Even for Canada that would be a bit high. So, one of two things, the gun did not jump from $700.00 to $840.00 or this tax in deal is another way of adding more profit. Can anyone confirm that the price jumped from $700.00 to $840.00?

Or like buying a condo in west van, at first your like "Holy fuck Ive gotta be insane but its so nice!", and then 4 months later your still like "what the fuck did I do that for...but its so nice!" speaking of which anyone interested in a condo in west van? We can talk.

Or like riding a bike with out a seat, its painful at first but you get used to it after a while, and well atleast your going somewhere with it.

Hold onto that Condo for a few more years, come 2010 you can lease it out for a few weeks and then retire!

TokyoSeven January 25th, 2008 18:34

Haha,I know already thought about it, or sell it at the end of 2009 and maybe net 2.5x the worth.
