oOMuDOo January 16th, 2008 19:22

All hail the living room commando!

nice load out.

peace.

Vince January 16th, 2008 19:55

Marpat loadout call for USMC battle rifle ;) I'm still on the hunt for an FN A4 body

Can't wait to receive my CB IBA to finally complete this project

Drake January 16th, 2008 19:56

I'd suggest a pair of proper USMC boots (like Bellevilles in Oliva Mojave)

http://www.shoestoboot.com/images/belleville/550st.jpg

And I'd swap the black hood for a sage green nomex one.

CB vest/armor if you can find one.

Vince January 16th, 2008 20:04

Here's my old vest (was a large but fit bigger than my other OTV), I ordered a med last week
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...e/P1010322.jpg

And this is my blevoed woodland OTV that I sold to Swatt13
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...P1000868-2.jpg

Both were Point Blank vest

~JARSH~ January 16th, 2008 21:14

the boots are CF issue's, i like 'em. i'm not tottally die hard about being up to "specs", to be honest i like the black. im a big guy so the vest i found was perfect for me lots of durable mesh for venting. Theres room for 12 armalite mags, and 6 pistol mags.

Mongoose January 16th, 2008 22:31

Here's my USMC Marpat loadout

Some black gloves would make you look bad-ass and round out that nice contrast the black boots and balaclava provide. Mind you, OD (I think thats OD I see in there) would probably fit into the camo' pattern better.

This is making me horny for MARPAT stuff.

~JARSH~ January 16th, 2008 22:57

funny you say black gloves, that happens to be what i use. they have a wee bit of light brown leather on them too..

Sha Do January 16th, 2008 23:34

In my opinion MARPAT is a better functional camoflauge system than CADPAT, mainly because of the abundant earth tones in it, and therefore it tends to work well in more types of enviroments than CADPAT. I'm not dissing CADPAT by any means, as it work amazingly well in in the right enviroment, it's just that it is too speciallized to be practical everywhere.

Wolf Packs' MadMorbius has an amazing load out in MARPAT (just part of a really stinking nice collection) and maybe if we ask nicely he'll post some pic's of it.

i agree 100%, a couple of guys on my team wear CADPAT and from what i see it blends great in woodland scenarios, but other than that they stick out like sore thumbs. heres a pic of a mixture of CADPAT and MARPAT.

That my prior multicam obsession. Real issued marpat

Picked up a set for my loadout (have a set of issued woodland and desert marpat), I love em.

Still trying to find proper CB armor though... that's been a pain.

Capt. Tyco January 17th, 2008 01:21

I use a set of these for my USMC loadout: http://www.corcoranandmatterhorn.com...&CategoryID=34
I have to say that they are absolutely amazing. Ill try and get some picks of my loadout up tomorrow.

I'm no expert on the subject, but isn't the that little hook and anchor image suppose to actually be "pressed" into the material when it's made and not sewn on afterwards???

Capt. Tyco January 17th, 2008 02:38

Its late an I feel like saying it. The insignia is embroidered on the real thing. The camo is fake for 2 reasons:

1. go find a picture of real USMC Marpat and you will see that the fabrick looks nothing like that.

2. On the issue camo there little insignias imbeded in the camo itself.

Vince January 17th, 2008 07:35

It's ripstop. I don't even have to go further. NO Marpat uniform is ripstop. Plus the shades are off.

The colors are supposed to be tan, light grey, coyote brown and marsh borwn as far as I remember.

For real desert just have a look at my M16 pic.

Oh and by tthe way, if you want good looking repro Marpat get Tru-Spec TRU line, they are absolutly awsome, in the same cut as the ACU uniform

Yeah it's fake. :(

Noticed that stupid ebay person had a different looking USMC Desert instead of this. And noticed it was shipped from China. You get what you paid for. 30$ a set.

But a couple of washes through it, the shades will be brighter.

Capt. Tyco January 17th, 2008 13:35

The best stuff is propper. Its the closest you can get without it being real. However the quality of tru-spec is also very good, although it fades after a while.

i have tru-spec, the wear on my pants is pretty bad, but my jacket is still in really good shape.

Vince January 17th, 2008 14:23

get the TRU line. Probably the best repros stuff I've ever seen

Not sure which particular load out you're referring to, as I've worn all kinds of stuff. These days, when I wear Marpat, I wear it with Coyote Tan gear. Looks good.

Here's one before I dropped the extra tonnage:

Very nice! Love the paintjob!

MadMorbius January 17th, 2008 20:34

Actually, not mine. My rifle went tits up that morning and that was a loaner from Ponch. If I bring 4 rifles to a game, I might get one that works....

MadMorbius January 17th, 2008 20:42

Another point on this. Of course, a lot of it is personal preference, but if you're going for "real world" loadouts and looks, avoid tactical vests and go for chest rigs, armor carriers and other LBE systems.

Tactical vests are typically worn by law enforcement. Soldiers don't usually wear them because they're not made for sustained operations, rather they're geared (pun intended) for quick "in and out" operations.

Also, get dirty. Clean gear is seldom seen in the real world, except on swat teams.

Vince January 17th, 2008 20:58

If you're going for real world as you say you got 2 options and that's it.

1- IBA in Coyote Brown
2-MTV (Spartan 2) in Coyote brown

I saw a couple of pics of Marines with Eagle Rhodesian vest over their IBA though.

And if you're on a budget, get an FLC, cheap, light and gets the job done.

As for SOF freaks out there, the RAV, CIRAS, FSBE will do the job fine ;)

MadMorbius January 17th, 2008 21:09

The Spartan 2 is a beautiful piece of kit. Amazing gear for issue kit. If I could find one, I'd buy it.

Vince January 17th, 2008 21:21

I came across 2 on Ebay but geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez 600$ is a bit too much for airsoft... And both were out of Japan  How come it's always the polish and asian guys that have the nice kit eh?

MadMorbius January 17th, 2008 21:27

You used to be able to buy direct from TAG (Tactical Applications Group) for about $280. Since the contract award, I'm not sure anymore.

Vince January 17th, 2008 21:31

I heard about guys who did, but I don't know either if you still can. I registered on TAG website and I bought an IBA from one of their employee. I'll have to ask him if the Spartan is available to public.

Sergeantmajor January 18th, 2008 07:27

flecktarn.co.uk has replicas ofthose vest's.

go in news. their the first one on the list.

Vince January 18th, 2008 07:34

They only sell regular OTV and I can have the real thing for cheaper...

~JARSH~ January 18th, 2008 12:50

I FOUND THIS:::::The information contained here is about our Official USMC Issue MARPAT MCCUU Digital Camouflage Uniforms and is provided for those that might have uncertainties or would like clarifications of what is "Real" when it comes to these USMC Digital MARPAT Uniforms.

Propper International Inc., American Apparel Inc., E.A. Industries Inc. or American Power Source, Inc.

The uniform blouse has the Eagle, Globe and Anchor embroidered on the left breast pocket. The uniforms, both trousers and blouses have the small printed "USMC" & EGA (Eagle, Globe & Anchor) insignia imbedded within the digital camouflage pattern at approximately every 13" intervals, this is a printed logo, not embroidered.

The blouse/shirt has a total of 4 pockets; two slant style Velcro closure chest pockets and two button closure shoulder sleeve pockets. Sleeves have reinforced elbow padding and adjustable cuffs.

The trousers/pants have a total of 6 pockets; two front slash style, two rear button closure pockets and two large thigh bellows cargo pockets, button fly, reinforced knees and seat. Partial elasticized waist at the hips. There are interior pockets for knee pads. They do not have the traditional waist adjustment cinch straps that you might be familiar with in older versions of BDU pants, this waist size adjustment feature has been replaced with the two elastic points at the hips. They also have done away with the tie strings at the ankle cuffs.

Donster January 18th, 2008 13:12

i almost bought a whole bunch of MARPAT, but decided to go with special ops digicam pattern as it is darker green and works better at the field im at. Here is a good example.

http://www.specialopspaintball.com/s...s/3100039b.jpg

i prefer this of MARPAT cause this has more greens in it. I play up a wasaga, so in the summer months it can get pretty overgrown with foliage. Ill post some pics of my entire loadout once my gun arrives.

~JARSH~ January 18th, 2008 15:41

well theres "real look" and then there is functionality, my vest is perfect for me. i find myself over heating in the winter........i know its crazy...........and i figured a CB would be way to hot, never mind spring and summer.

MadMorbius January 18th, 2008 15:52

I think you will find that the "real look" generally takes functionality over form. If you're happy with a vest, then go with it.

Vince January 18th, 2008 17:26

Well here's my temporary load (until I received my IBA)

-El Cheapo E-Hobby Asia chestrig (copied from Eagle Rhodesian)
-1x Aites IFAK
-1x Blackhawk radio pouch
-1x Unknown Frag pouch
-4x Proud double M4 mag pouch

As for the helmet I'm still stuck with my MICH until I have the money for a LWH.
But I'll change the the mag pouches because the color is wayyyyyyyyyy off (the IFAK and grenade pouch have the good shade). The only thing is, I don't know toward wich company I'm going to go...

Here are a couple pics of my MARPAT loadout. The BDU is Tru-Spec and the boonie is Propper. I also use the CB RRV and MICH2000 from AirsoftDepot. The gloves were temporary, I have since gotten a pair of Mechanix gloves which look, and function, much better. There is a noticeable difference between the Propper and Tru-Spec but I think overall it looks pretty good.
