Hi, I nead an opinion on this.

Hi, this is my first post, and I just bought my first Airsoft gun, but I can't find any ratings or reviews for it online. I already opened it, but I am finding it extremely weird how I can't find it anywhere, I find rather good for the price. It is an Airstrike 240 Pistol Kit by Daisy, and it comes with a speedloader; 100 bb's; 10 targets; and a pop-up target trap with mesh backing. I can't find it on the daisy/ airstrike site, and just need to know what anyone else thinks about it. I also would like to know what you would reccomend to get next.

Some specifics:
-Spring Air
-.24 call
-88 round speedload clip
-max velocity 240 fps.
-it says next G-I camouflage on the front if thats important

I have searched for it and only have found a similar gun, I think it is pretty good, but I would like to know how long it lasts, ect.

dodger_me January 5th, 2008 00:36

AHAHAHAhahahaaa....

ancorp January 5th, 2008 00:37

It's really, really, really, not that great a gun at all. It's considered complete crap by most people on these forums. It has no place in the airsoft game really, maybe as a backup springer, if you give it a nice paintjob. Nonetheless, I find it to be a complete waste of money. Don't be surprised if it breaks soon.

Sorry but this forum will flame you till you cry for buying it, so run!

Post a pic thank,s,,,,FLAME ON!!!!!!

Col. Hogan January 5th, 2008 00:45

surprisingly, that was the best gun available for me, I can't really find anyplace to buy any that don't want to sell me a barby doll and car parts. I could have gotten a gas gun, but that would cost too much for me. The only good one's would cost too much ;(. Such as shotgun like things, or a bunch of them, and this was my first gun. Also what would you reccomend then if this is such a bad gun?

P.S. It has worked fairly well for me, so this may be a different gun than what you'r thinking of. I'd post a picture if I had one.

Forever_kaos January 5th, 2008 00:55

You're 15, try again when you're older.

ak_STALKER January 5th, 2008 00:56

well your 15...so buying that gun was illegal

Col. Hogan January 5th, 2008 00:58

I didn't buy it, but I am more responsable with any gun than anybody I know, I was looking and my dad bought it for me, so it isn't illegal unless I bought it from him (gave him money for it later). Although I know waht your talking about, but still, I just woould like to know.

Airsoft guns for a 15 year old:http://www.canadiantire.ca/search/se...d0728b89dcdcc5

Forever_kaos January 5th, 2008 01:03

You know, you and every other young new teen on here always fucking says
"I'm so responsible" "I can handle a gun right" "I know what's right and wrong" blah blah...
If you were the slightest bit responsible, you'd respect laws and rules. It's been said over and over and over and it's just stupid.

As for your info, maybe the gun is old and out of date, maybe the info needs to be dug up or be a little more general then specific, or vice versa.

Gunk January 5th, 2008 01:04

Oh... I'm not sure you know what we're talking about when we say it's illegal for you to buy/sell airsoft...

And I feel confident saying you don't know what we're talking about when we say it's not *really* airsoft... at least not from the perspective of someone who's dropped hundreds of dollars on one single gun, and in the case of some people here, thousands (and tens of) in the long run.

Go to the FAQ section and don't come out for a very long time... ideally when you're seeing double and your eyes are bleeding from reading for three days.

Col. Hogan ok you might not have bought it but to use it it is illegal buddy. so drop it and put you hands up slowly.

Col. Hogan January 5th, 2008 01:08

I have actually seen stuff on here where people said that, and you make a good point. Although I will point this out, I have never shot myself, or shot at anything stupid with a bb gun, or the airsoft gun. I was in cadets for a few year, and they teach you proper safety when shooting. Last thing then you can say what you want, my brother wants to be a cop, and he I let him shoot it (he's 18) and he was waving around while it was ready to be shot. He almsot took out a the light.

Anything by Classic Army, Tokyo Marui, Jing Gong, hell even CYMA is probably better.

Forever_kaos January 5th, 2008 01:15

BAH, we're being over run.. BY NOOB IDIOTS.... Why can't we get over run by zombies?

Gunk January 5th, 2008 01:17

Cause that would at least be fun... and like my 'rents used to say... that's just not allowed.

Col. Hogan January 5th, 2008 01:18

Ok, how about this then, I will find a metal case lock it and mail the key to a relative so they can give it to me for my birthday then. Would that make you all happy? And if that is what you think I should do, then I'll do it, and not participate in any target practice with an airsoft/ bb/ pellet gun until my 16th birthday. Also, I'm a noob because I never thought about this until a little while ago. I will try to educate myself about it better, and try to buy things they still make I guess. Hope you have fun then while I wait.

jeff_koll January 5th, 2008 01:20

i dont know is it

No, wouldn't make me happy at all, 'cause you run around with the case going "bang bang"

Col. Hogan January 5th, 2008 01:23

No, actually that's what they make cap gun's for. The case would be put in the atic, along with the dust.

jeff_koll January 5th, 2008 01:25

just like the guys in once upon a time in Mexico

Col. Hogan January 5th, 2008 01:26

I typed Airstrike 240 pistol kit in google, and it gave me this as the first link

http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model.pl?model_id=534

and the second link was a whole bunch of reviews

http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews68093.html

Essentially the whole first page was reviews.

With in the first minute I was able to ascertain that this soft air pistol was a piece of garbage, after reading through this thread and taking a moment to think, I have surmised that either you are a troll or a knuckle head. You didnt buy an airsoft gun, please dont refer to it as one. You claim maturity, like I claim that Im still a virgin, and we all know thats a load of garbage.

Col. Hogan January 5th, 2008 01:49

I'm just wanting an some advice, and I can't find any good sites to ask about it. I am planning on maybe later getting more into this, such as when I get a job and am older.I just hate how I can't find it anywhere, and I know it isn't really airsoft. I need to work my way upto something like that, not just jump into. Also, that's not the gun I have, it is different from that one, such as like what somebody said about the safety breaking, it wont likely break on this. It is made out of metal, and is durable. I apologize for calling it airsoft, when it is in fact a soft air gun. I am sorry for the mistakes there. But when I get older and have the funding, I will be able to buy into the better ones.

Also where can I go to get anything that is decent, I am really wanting to get involved in this sport. I dislike how all I can get is the plastic crap, but once I can manage I will get the better things I promise.

Col. Hogan January 5th, 2008 02:01

Also, do i have to order from a website if I want anything good? I need to know so I can look at what's good and what interests me. I'm going to bed now, I think I have a cold.

A new airsoft gun will cost you a minimum of 200 dollars (And you'll still be getting a POS)

a good quality one is a minimum of 400.

You must be 18+ to use and airsoft gun and play airsoft in Canada.

You're only 15 now, By the time you're 18, the boarders could have opened up.

Forget about airsoft. Find something else to do.

GOD January 5th, 2008 03:32

Ok so you have an airsoft gun:

1. Do not bring it outdoors (no matter what under any circumstances)

2. Don't paint it, it isn't worth bringing to the feild so leave it the way it is (keep it looking like a toy as much as possible to avoid any misidentification probelms)

3. Don't run and tell all your friends at school that you have a gun ( you have a toy, this way anybody that happens to overhear your conversation will not jump to conclusions)

4. Wear eye protection when you use it indoors with the window shades pulled closed.

5. Think about gun safety when you use it so that when you get a "real" good airsoft gun you won't hurt yourself or anybody else.

6. Use it and have fun. It was made for casual plinking and not much else to set up a few small targets indoors and have at er.

7. You really are not supposed to have an airsoft gun at your age so please do the community a favor and think before you do anything.
