Stalker Shadows of Chernobyl loadout ideas?

I've never played stalker, but I've always loved the post apoc style.

I don't want an exact copy of the stalker character but just a general post apocalyptic style look. Any ideas?

Trenchcoat/rain coat with hood
Gasmask (need to modify so it can have googles inside it)
Old style webbing
eastern block weapon.
rucksack

But none of that really screams nuclear wasteland...

You could wear the funky, HAZMAT-like suits that the Duty soldiers wear later on. I have a good pic I'll upload tomorow. As for guns, I was about going for that kit myself. You could do an AK-74, Sawn Off, SPAS-12, M4 (carrying handle removed), G36, MGL, SVD or F2000. For pistols, PPK,Makorov, Glock, P226, M1911, Desert Eagle or USP.

AK w/surface treatment.
1911 w/decent wear.

Vietnam 7.62 webbing (the kind with "U.S" written on the pouches).
Corcoran Tanker boots.
80's olive drab BDUs.
Ammo bandoleers.

Much more..

My team was originally a post-apocalyptic "survivor" team.. but... we went zombie hunter. PM me if you're interested in some diagrams of gear, and what not.

Cheers!

Great game. ill see what i can come up with, it sounds like an interesting load-out idea. Would be even better if someone would come up with a Shadow of Chernobyl airsoft game!

I can see the similarites. But I always thought it was just an M4 with a replaced stock, removed carrying handle and two toned.

I made the comment that he resembled a STALKER from the game, based on the kit & load out he was carrying that day.

He grinned at me, then later lit me up with that AKU you see slung behind his back.

Looks similar to this, without the silencer.

im not able to even watch someone play that game. it reminds me of the disaster and watching fireman drop dead after arriving on the scene as first responders, a ghastly memory at best. i find it bewildering how i can watch violence on tv, war movies and whatever without to much disturbance but watching documentaries on chernobyl makes me dizzy, knees get weak, my eyes water and i have to fight off the urge to vomit.

I was looking at range jackets but in typical toronto fashion all the surplus ones are stupidly expensive. Also the problem with poncho ones is that you cannot access your gear unless you put it ontop.

Go Freedom and wear flectarn.

Bunch of characters had something that looked like old school Gorka suits. Some stalkerts also had old Russian camping rucks but those things are next to impossible to find these days. Mag pouches look similar to regular Soviet 4 cell pouches.
P.S Get a pair of fingerless, black leather gloves.

this loadout is currently on the backburner for me since I am working on my Master chief loadout. (Halo combat evolved)

There was a 48 hour game based on Stalker in Ukraine this summer. Game was organized mainly for RPG crowd, organizers added airsoft just to make it more realistic.

Well, heres my load-out based on the Bandits that you commonly fight against in the game. Hope you like it!

problem with a gas mask is you can't game with it.

Moderate October 27th, 2007 00:31

Don't some gas masks have ballistic lense replacements?

Well, you could always just carry it in a bag for extra looks...I guess.
