where do you store your guns?

i made a thread nearly 2 years ago asking the same thing but its seem to have disappeared so i'm asking the same thing to see if anything as changed.

Gato April 29th, 2007 18:04

Well, when i get Airsoft it'll either be kept in a locked Guncase or a gunlocker

TCLP April 29th, 2007 18:06

In a locked gun case as they should be treated like a real firearm.
Unloaded, mags and ammo stored seperately. (ammo in my ammo box)
Batteries disconected and stored seperately as well.

Whodini April 29th, 2007 18:07

My MP5K simply fits into a lockable briefcase. I'm currently modifying it so I can shoot it when it's inside the case, via a bike cable break type system, or electronically.

Scooby Steve April 29th, 2007 18:21

Lockable gun cases. Mags in diversion safes.

Darklen April 29th, 2007 18:25

In locked cases, unloaded, with batteries removed. Ammo is stored seperately in an ammo box. All is stored in a locked gun closet in a locked room.

Flint April 29th, 2007 18:25

Where's the option for displayed on a shelf with empty whiskey bottles littered around it viewable from a large front window of the house?
Just kidding, I keep my airsoft in a locked guncase and put away out of sight.

Naerah April 29th, 2007 18:28

is there a good locking case you whould avice to newbie like me? sorry top jack the thread.

spacemoose April 29th, 2007 18:31

I walk around with my guns in hand, while completely nude and use my scope attached to my gun to see what the people outside are doing...:P

When i go to visit my mom out in Elmira I keep my super 90 on the gun rack which runs along the back window of my old dodge ram pickup. Confederate flag tailgate and naked chick silhouette mud flaps and all.

Just kidding. Out of sight, out of mind. Can't remember who told me that.

Kept In their cases, which are then kept in the closet.

Yeah, for $200-300.

Go to Walmart or Canadian tire. You can get a decent, inexpensive case there for $30-40.

kalnaren April 29th, 2007 18:33

I keep my FA-MAS beside my white flag collection, so both are readily available if I need to do some roleplaying.

The G36 is stored on my gunrack in the back window of my pickup truck.

Crispy April 29th, 2007 18:33

at Canadian Tire, the black single rifle case is like $16, I have 9 of them

bahaha, that made my day.

In my gun case, batteries kept seperate as well as ammo and mags. Seperate boxes for the lot, easy to keep track of things that way too.

Blackthorne April 29th, 2007 19:14

In my closet with the rest of my AS stuff.

Guns safes are for guns...

Ibby April 29th, 2007 19:46

Locked up in the MP shack. Yeah, just try to steal them ;)

Hahaha. I wonder how many people got that reference.

Psycho-Pat April 30th, 2007 21:34

Gun case and trigger lock, and not in the bedroom (first place the thief go when they break in, usually )

I have a cheap wal-mart beretta but ya its in my dads locked gun safe thing.

MaD April 30th, 2007 22:33

Ya Ibby the MP shack's a great place for them but did the MP ask if they could try your's out too when you put them in there

Rumpel Felt April 30th, 2007 23:12

Litterally scattered all over the floor/shelves/place. Always ready to be loaded, often fully loaded. It's a bitch to find stuff but the urge to stare at them and shoot stuff around the house is just too great.

Harbinger of Darkness May 1st, 2007 11:53

In a converted tool cabinet (Punisher style ^_^) that i can open up to look at all the pretty guns hanging on the shelves. They're also cable locked to the cabinet so no one can take them if i leave the damn thing open. Good luck getting into my house to steal anything though. I'm paranoid and it's locked up tighter than Fort Nox.

Oh yeah.... the P90 stays under my pillow.....just in case.

Armyissue May 2nd, 2007 11:11

Dunno? The wife hid them all. So now I hide the new ones in the closet with my Girlfriend.

Jayhad May 2nd, 2007 11:14

in the rear window of my f150

-Number7- May 2nd, 2007 20:46

How much generally is a nice fair quality display case or something like a storage safe. Because I would like a more secure place for the one I have. Don't want anyone to mess around with it :x:

attack-beaver May 7th, 2007 21:06

umm this thread as lively as my first one..

Erik2 May 7th, 2007 21:37

I keep mine on the floor of my bedroom. Sometimes in it's box closed, sometimes sitting ontop of it. My bags of bb's and batteries are all over the place. Once I get around to cleaning this place it will be in my closet. When it leaves the house, it is in a gun bag because it's the only option.

As already said, gun safes and trigger locks are for guns.

Tombstone May 8th, 2007 16:28

Attached to a sling over my shoulder.........always!

I, Joke.. its in a gun case on the top shelf of my closet.

Dawnbringer July 25th, 2007 11:50

Currently, on the bed in the spare bedroom, future, some sort of hard case, not locked though. As mentioned before, gun locks are for RS. would probably put them somewhere more secure if there were kids around.

Oh yes, and my sig is usually loaded under the pillow, unless my gf is coming over, something about not sleeping with me if there is a gun in the bed. Made it a tough choice when my P90 came in. ;) Oh, the under the pillow thing is actually an experiment, I want to know how (un)safe it would be to sleep with an actual gun under the pillow.

Yes they did. The best part was the look on their faces when I pulled the 249 out of it's case...

If any of you are curious, here are the guidelines for storing real firearms in Canada. I treat my airsoft guns the same way as my other guns.

Oops... the forum cut it off.. lemme try again

storing firearms in Canada

Dawnbringer July 25th, 2007 14:49

Oh and for the record I would like to point out that bb projectile dispensing devices are neither guns nor firearms. A gun would refer to an artillery piece sized weapon where as a firearm would propel the projectile by deflagration (that is the confined burning of a propellant). That is unless you modify your GBB to ignite the propane as it come out, Bad idea.

P.S. care to tell me why your link is blocked by my web filter telling me it contains items of a sexual nature  ;)

krazie Sj July 25th, 2007 15:00

No clue, there is no nudie or dating crap on that site. It's all legit.

I store my handguns beside my bed so I can play with them while I'm watching TV. The G3 is in a gun case.

BloodSport July 25th, 2007 15:05

Why link to a secondary site anyways? I'd take what posted on the CFC over anything from another site.

That's completely wrong, but thanks for playing anyways. Perhaps you should look up the Criminal Code definition of a firearm before quoting things "for the record."

Styrak July 25th, 2007 15:51

And you don't have to store your RS locked up. I keep my airsoft gun in the box it was sent to me in either in my room or by my computer.

Capt. T/O July 25th, 2007 17:48

my M4 is usually at my gun doc's place... probably in little pieces, waiting to be put back together once the replacement/upgrade parts ordered arrives.

G36 is in a gun case, as is my psitols... BB's with the guns...

ALWAYS with mags stored elsewhere, and unloaded.

Jayhad July 25th, 2007 17:54

my guns are hard wired to the 110 plug near my bed with a hopper system like a paint ball marker holding 350,000 bbs, pointed at pics of SDU team members
My GBBs are in the same drawer near my bed as my real steal handguns, it makes it interesting when deciding what GBB to feild

No seriously mine are in a cabinet

philstructo July 25th, 2007 17:55

Gun cases under my bed with my ammo in my closet

Nik12 July 25th, 2007 18:15

In the box it came in, in a closet behind the locked door of my room.

TokyoSeven July 25th, 2007 19:35

In the bathroom next to the mouthwash.
In the night stand next to the condoms.
In the kitchen cupboard next to the allspice.
In the umbrella stand near the door
In the dishwasher
On my desk at work and home.
In my car

Oh wait did you say sex toys or airsoft guns?
I keep mine in unlocked lockable gun cases under my bed.

deep in the bush July 25th, 2007 19:39

safely stored

Mine are stored in steel box buried 15 feet under ground in a concrete bunker with large rabid pitbulls roaming through the maze to get to them. It also has a large mine field laden with chemical weapons spread through out for good measure.

I also find a good gang of crazed lunatics help being caged around the steel box.

Plus it's electrified with 400 000 volts just to be sure.

It's a bugger when I lose the keys.

..... :/

ok they are locked up tight (kids come down to the room) in a steel storage locker. It's best considering they are an investment now. :)

go deep

I have no clue... which web filter are you using? Maybe it means the site is of adult nature?

silent_recon July 26th, 2007 00:47

ak74 sits in a locked guitar case, and my mp5 sits on the top shelf of my closet

(no young'uns around to find them)

Naerah July 26th, 2007 03:14

Since i got my g36c, i leave it in the case it came with, but in my old appartment
i was the only occupant. Now back to mom's home, her boyfriend's kids are rampaging in the place. I would like to store it better than that, at least not in a box with a big gun picture on it..... gotta work on that soon.

Nik12 July 26th, 2007 19:17

I think it would be nice and dramatic to get a gun vault and set it into my wall....

Scratch that, 15.99$ plus taxes. Product #75-5619-2, look it up on CT's site. I would have provided a link but I can't seem to be able to provide an absolute URL.

4 points to lock the case, solid, secure.

The only "issue" I have with these cases personnally is that the carry handle is a bit large, so it's a tad awkward. But then again, you shouldn't be walking long distances anyway with a gun case, now should you... :)

I'm sure the PoPo's will be on you if you are walking around with an unlocked gun case visible to the public. Most likely a friendly arrest and a visit to the nearest PoPo office.

I've lugged around gun cases for ages in the Montreal metro system, first as a cheap alternative to a proper wargaming figure case, then paintball. I've had a couple of chats over the years, nothing unpleasant. I was actually glad to get intercepted once in a while, I was lugging around a frickin' gun case after all.

Lenard July 27th, 2007 17:09

I keep my Guns in a steel army box I got from Princess auto, and I keep the box under my bed, where no one would ever find it (right?). With Magazines out and what not of course.
