Motor vs batteries

Hi everyone, I want to know if 9.6 2200 mha batteries are suitable for a G&G hi-torque motor?

Tankdude April 10th, 2007 18:59

Yes. Your rate of fire will be great.

Anything else? Any upgrades?

ThunderCactus April 10th, 2007 19:36

if its a stock G&G gun i wouldnt recommend anything over 8.4
G&G internals are REALLY bad
if its upgraded, 9.6 is fine

ace team rifleman April 10th, 2007 21:29

Ok so should I replace something in my gearbox for it to be safe whit 9.6 2200 mha batteries?

Metal bushings would be a good idea.

ace team rifleman April 10th, 2007 22:02

Thank you, I have looked on some airsoft retailers for Metal bushings. I've only found full tune-up kit, do you know if I can buy it separately and if yes where.

ILLusion April 10th, 2007 22:08

I have metal bushings for sale.

Also, if you install a stronger spring, it will balance out the load requirements of your battery and motor.

ace team rifleman April 10th, 2007 22:46

Well thank you! and about the spring, guarder 110 would be ok ?

ace team rifleman April 10th, 2007 22:54

Ho! and I also want to know, whats causing high-pitched noises on a AEG because I'd like to fix this, even if it's juste for the (good looking)

once again thank's for your support!!!!

Could be motor adjustment, small allen screw at the base of the grip, turn it till it gets quieter. But sometimes even at the perfect spot theres some whine, just cant silence it all, without a Silent kit that is.

ILLusion April 11th, 2007 00:18

The whine could also be from poorly shimmed gears, but if you bought your gun brand new and stock, it's most likely not that.

If you did the motor swap and got the whine, then it's most likely your motor height that needs adjustment.

If you want more choices for where to buy parts, get your age verified by one of the local representatives. Then you will have access to the Classifieds Section.

Before you mess around with your gun, I highly recommend that you have someone with experience look at it first. There are plenty or experienced folks around Montreal, and they can verify your age at the same time.

Finally I have changed my gearbox for a G&P v2 with bearings.
And now, I'd like to change my motor. which one in more suitable for my 9.6 2200mah batteries, Marui eg700 or marui eg1000?

ILLusion May 30th, 2007 22:41

Both will do the job fine, it just depends on what you want to achieve.

ace team rifleman May 30th, 2007 23:56

whats it's going to change from one to the other?

dontask May 31st, 2007 00:01

the 1000 has a high ROF but less torque
the 700 has good torque but less ROF

ace team rifleman May 31st, 2007 00:40

ROF what does it mean?
And Can batteries be too powerful for the motor?

ILLusion May 31st, 2007 01:52

ROF = rate of fire.

Battery voltage can be too powerful for a motor.
Battery capacity will never be too powerful for a motor.

Rate of fire is a function of mainly voltage, but is also strongly affected by capacity (in airsoft guns) due to differing internal resistances of different sized cells. As a result, if your battery *could* be too powerful for your gearbox. Strong and fast force pulling the piston backwards means you need an strong force pushing the piston forward to balance the system. In this case, you need a strong enough spring. Guarder SP110 should be okay for your 9.6v 2200mAh battery.
