StarAirsoft - SCAR L/H, and ELGM

Good effin christ!!!!
VFC, JLS, CA, and now Star in the SCAR Lineup. This time Star has really hit the ball on the nose with the quick change barrel system, L version and EGLM. God I am gonna shiat my pants. No word on the price yet, but with past Star products it's gonna be expensive.

Check it out right here:

OMG star sure did 1-Up the other manufacturers!

takatorikku February 6th, 2007 22:36

oh bloody hell i'm getting one

Xepharo February 6th, 2007 22:37

OMG... that's freaking nice.
CA STAR VFC..... good externals, but how are the internals?

Yuu February 6th, 2007 22:40

Star is making a lot more than FN SCAR.

Mk43, L96, New and improved M14 Troy SOPMOD and etc...

LUTNIT February 6th, 2007 22:43

I'd be a lot more interested in their Mk43 if it wasn't all plastic like their 249's. CA for support guns for me still if I ever get one.

I still prefer the Masada over the SCAR-L aesthetically but the SCAR-H...now I'm torn.

stokes February 6th, 2007 22:55

That nade launcher is a work of art... damn... I needs to get one now...

HaZarD SFD February 6th, 2007 23:00

Still wondering mechbox version though. I have looked at the pins on the lower
reciever and I cant find anything to match it. V.2, V.3, I just cant find one!

takatorikku February 6th, 2007 23:02

it's V8 of course. with a hemi

Seriously? a V8?

stokes February 6th, 2007 23:07

Im thinking can that nade launcher fit normal m4s... since they do use normal lower M4 reciever... I really want that sooooo badly...

EDIT: It does!

F!reStorm* February 6th, 2007 23:16

Looks good overall but I'm worried about the mech box aswell. Plus the flash hidder looks awful. Anyway, It's always great to have new models coming out.

The "with a hemi" comment didn't strike you as the whole thing being sarcasm? Theres no point in using a ver.8 unless you want the 3 round burst and if it was included it would be a feature listed in their advertisements.

STAR designs a lot of their own proprietary mechboxes using mostly standard internal parts. Wouldn't surprise me if this was a cross between a ver.2 and ver.3 or a new breed all together. I've had a STAR M249 Para and currently have an L85A2 AFV, I trust their design and quality control.

thephenom February 6th, 2007 23:29

Wow....SCAR-L, SCAR-H AND the SCAR grenade launcher!?!?! STAR has hit the jackpot.

But one thing, if "silver" denotes metal, and "black" denotes ABS, why is the lower receiver plastic? Is that how it is on the real thing?

Eddie February 6th, 2007 23:33

http://www.starairsoft.com/ links of all the new stuff coming out from STAR is on it.

HaZarD SFD February 6th, 2007 23:33

Yes! As for the metal im all up for that

F!reStorm* February 6th, 2007 23:48

I love the new AW338 "Sinper' Rifle... lol

attack-beaver February 7th, 2007 01:04

We aren't talking about pot metal. Its actually CNC.

Gryphon February 7th, 2007 02:34

Love the quick change in/out berral and the flip up rear sigth.

And "CNC" is not a metal, it's a machining process. I'm pretty sure you could CNC cast monkey metal if it were dense enough.

it says the lower reciever is made out of nylon fiber, a lot tougher than plastic is.

swatt13 February 7th, 2007 02:48

omg.... i thought i had talked myself out of getting a scar... but the h with the integrated m203...= me... with a boner

R.A.T.M._JLD February 7th, 2007 02:56

Sweet M249s now M60s.

http://starairsoft.sev76.001at.com/coming/M14.htm
Looks like the are making the sopmod better and full auto and SINGLE.

IRONSIGHT February 7th, 2007 06:49

If the body material used is the same as on the UMP it will be really nice. I'm not big on their internals (on the UMP anyways) but the mech box housing is fine and a decent base to start with.

LUTNIT February 7th, 2007 12:38

STAR is making an M60E4...M60E4...STAR...M60E4...minimum price...metal bits...M60E4...I just blew my wad, pissed myself, and shit myself all at the same time. I'm going to start saving up now, I don't care what it takes to get one of those I will have one or I'll shoot myself in the left ball with my M24.

STAR uses nylon fiber which is fiberglass that uses nylon (side release buckles on backpacks) as its resin instead of unsaturated polyester (normal brittle fiberglass.) Its the same stuff CA G36's are made of and very similar to what real deal pelican cases are made of. Really frieking tough stuff.

SEALs February 7th, 2007 12:50

me wanna buy the H version with nade launcher

G_unit February 7th, 2007 18:14

It'd be nice if the SCAR H took M14 mags

Xenos-Fear February 8th, 2007 01:12

Wow ! Real nice stuff ! STAR ROCKS ! I'd just received my STAR 85 rounds M4 magazines... Hehehe... for my L85A2... now, it's gonna be for SCAR too ! NICE !

Skruface February 8th, 2007 08:27

STAR is apparently now coming out with an M16/M4 series. Check out the funky quick-swap-spring mechbox with a threaded endcap by the spring guide.....it also takes both airsoft and real-steel buffer tubes....AND has a fully functional bolt catch.

Jackals February 8th, 2007 08:33

I am so getting one of these.

ToRN February 8th, 2007 09:09

I think there's another one that everybody missed, and a lot of people will also look forward to....

Jayhad February 8th, 2007 13:20

I just want a MK46 and would kill for one I just wish someone in canada could provide me with one

F34N0R February 9th, 2007 14:32

STAR scar L/H beats Classic army scrap. I wish they will make the tactical standalone grenade launcher for it. ...

Any release date?

Iceman February 12th, 2007 17:48

man ... STAR is really kicking the new year in the balls... in a good way. Wow.

swatt13 February 12th, 2007 19:29
