Hey Anyone In The Calgary....

Hey anyone living in Calgary know where to get good airsoft guns, my local paintball place has some but i dont think there "up for the challenge" so if anyone has a place ( In Calgary ) that they go to buy there awsome guns lol please tell me ... Thanks - Scott

thephenom November 27th, 2006 21:53

Airsoft is 18+ only, please read the FAQ and infor on airsoft. You have 5 yrs to do so before you can legally own one.

You can play at 16+ at some place, but you still can't own any. There is an indoor place that rents out in Calgary I believe, you can search for it.

Also, airsoft is an expensive sport, looking at about $800-1000 to start up with airsoft gun and gears.

Yea about the price i completly understand, and i dont usually go to "arenas" with my freind ( because im 13 ) my freind owns a achridge and we gear up and go out there ( btw its legal for 13 year olds to own airsoft guns, but my mom had to show her id )

Fidget11 November 27th, 2006 22:02

You're telling us.

Stick with paintball for now. Playing alone is no fun at all.

The minimum age for possession of an airgun (any airgun) in Alberta is 16 years of age. It has been for years. The minimum age for purchase of any airgun in Alberta is 18 (that means your parents can buy you one and you can call it your own when you're 16).

The airsoft community has adopted an 18 minimum for everyone, no matter where in Canada you live. Few if any retailers are going to violate that code.

dude your 13 years old. airsoft is clearly an 18+ sport and frankly you are here asking for us to help you break the rules as well as for suggestions on retailers who will do the same... come on kid give your head a shake.

SuperCkicken November 27th, 2006 22:10

well its not completely 18+ you can play when you are 16 :)

TheEndIsNear November 27th, 2006 22:11

ok whatever i dont give a crap about this anymore, if your gonna sit here and bullshit me about somthing i dont even care about then go ahead but this is bullshit

Fidget11 November 27th, 2006 22:13

ummm yeah thats dedication there.... we are not bullshitting you on this its the way things actually work. if your mommy thinks your old enough to own one thats all fine and good but until you are 18 you wont be buying one at most any reputable dealer.

SuperCkicken November 27th, 2006 22:14

well we are trying to tell you that it is clearly illegal and if u do not care for the advice please do not ask for help

Yea i know, what am i going to do steal one?

i know it is the way it works but if i wanna gom play airsoft guns with my friend on his archrige where his grandparents will let us i dont see a problem with that....

and you cant play till your 16 in calgary and your parents have to allow you to.

Fidget11 November 27th, 2006 22:19

you might not but the police will and when the tactical team shows up and wants to play too your gonna have a real problem because they use real bullets not airsoft.

besides that is outright ILLEGAL, it doesnt matter what you think is okay or what your mommy thinks is okay it matters what the LAW says is okay. the way it is the LAW says you cannot purchase or possess an airsoft or an airgun for at least 3 more years. if you think because your a kid that the police will just let you off your very wrong, after the recent incidents in the world over the last few years you will be facing a very hard time. your parents as well. perhaps your mommy isnt aware but she is legally responsible for your actions which means you hurt anyone, even during a "game" that they agreed to play (since they are likely minors as well) and she will likely wind up in court.

wey ferro November 27th, 2006 22:22

Dont let the door hit your ass on the way out.

vatek November 28th, 2006 02:00

No kidding. Just what we need another 13 year old thinking he can beat the rules.

Man, you're 13 years old. As Greylocks once said, you probably still wear mittens with string tying them together. Shit, you'd have a hard time holding an average AEG for more than 15 minutes unless you're some hardcore bodybuilder kid. I would even venture to say that a TM M14 is probably TALLER than you are.

Do us all a favor and stick to laser tag until you're old enough. Your attitude is not going to get you anywhere here. If you really want to play airsoft, then read this board for a few more years, THEN ask about buying a gun. Even if you're 16 you're still not going to get a warm reception.

This is not a childrens sport.

Greylocks November 28th, 2006 09:53

Listen carefully. It is ILLEGAL for you to have an airsoft gun in your possession UNLESS the Adult who bought it is RIGHT THERE watching you at ALL TIMES.

Wether you like it or not is irrelevant. If your mother gave the guns to you, she is risking a HUGE amount of legal problems.

Read the Newbie Guide, and cope with the rules. If you dont want to, your choices are limited. You show the maturity needed, or you break the law.

If you break the law, your parents will be responsible for your actions and will endure the consequences (not you). Do you want your parents to have a criminal record just so you can have a replica gun? How nice of you.

Those are your choices. Try and pick the smart one instead of bitching.

Because that is illegal? Do the grandparents own the guns? Are they supervising your gaming in person at all times? No? Then dont.

thephenom November 28th, 2006 10:50

Ah yes, another teenager blowing up in ASC. It's always the same....
