I stumbled across ''soft-air players'' today...
 

I was ratter pissed off, to say the least...

I was walking with my girlfriend in a little forest we have here in sherbrooke (with tracks that are maintained by city workers and everything, and well inside city limits) when I saw two kids (age 13 maybe) cross the track about 15 feet in front of us with ski goggles and cheap transparent soft-air guns.

I scan the area quickly and I see 3 or 4 more kids playing in the woods, about 10 feet from the track to the left (one of the most used ones, that is...), so I told my girlfriend to keep her head to the right and we walked by quickly to reduce the chance of being hit by a stray BB.

I did not feel like confronting them, because I felt it would do nothing to help (judging from their attitude).

Should I report them to the police or something?
What would you have done? (Keep in mind that it is many people who walk there, you can easily encounter 10 to 15 people in a 20 minutes walk in there)

Call cops and just say that you were hit by a stray bb if the little Fer's refuse to play nice. clear plastic or not the cops will take them at the report of an injury.

I would have scanned the area more, and teleported in an away-team.

Thats exactly what these parents need to do. Start parenting. When I was 13 I was playing tag and hide n seek in a park. Or basketball, dodgeball, or on the NES. Not with toy guns in a public space. God damn.

parenting has given way to apathy. Mom is still too bussy trying to be 16 dad is too bussy wwith the babysitter tryin' to be a playa. Why would they care what their kids do? that would get in the way of them enjoying their lives. It is so hard to be responsible adults these days. Bring back corperal punishment, in my day if you didn't sit straight in your chair the teacher would smak us with a meter stick. hot lunch was a boild rotten turnip and they year was 19-dikity-2. Honostly, its not a huge concern to me as long as they are playing on private property and are wearing proper saftey glasses. ALL of my lil cousins have soft-air guns. They range in ages from 10-16 and frequently have little wars. All of them also wear paintball goggles to play and do so in private forest owned by the family.

But I think back to when I was around 8-12 years old. I played with cap-guns and some VERY realistic guns ALL of the time. We would run around shooting at each other non-stop in public neighborhoods. I am afraid to wonder what would happen to kids if they tried that today.

As for the kids.. if you had confronted them, they would have been little shits and probably shot at you as you walked away.. or even while you were talking to them. And calling the cops is what people would do even if they saw any of us playing.. so Im not so sure about that.. Id personally have grabbed one by the front of his shit and demanded to know where he lived and where his parents where. And then you go talk to them. And talk to them about calling the cops.. that should put an end to it all. You gotta scare the kids.. and then their parents.

Sn if none of that makes any difference.. go get you AEG.. hide in a bush.. (So you dont get in trouble.).. and start picking them off with head shots or something.. Have fun.. and if they complain or something.. say you were just part of their game. or dont get caught.

whatever man...if i had access to clear legal springers when i was a kid, sure as shit id be dooin the same thing...who didnt have cap gun fights when they were young?

kids will be kids let them have their fun. honestly they wernt shooting at you, i know its stupid but what can you expect nowadays. i seriously doubt the cops would even respond if they were called by the time the kids were done and went home for the day.

When i was 13 we were going to the river bank or a clearing in a forest to drink beer/cuddle with the girls. I stopped playing with CYMA clones (yes... cyma clones) when i was 10. Used to have huge ass wars with 20-30 kids on public streets :innocent: No one gave a shit.

youre right. It airs on Space on the 7th. BUT it also airs on Sci Fi - dishnet channel 120 i believe- on OCt the 6th :) unless that changed.

Public property indeed. Physically it's a forest, but it's basically used like a park by many, many people.

Airsoft is so much gentlier. Thank god there wasn't too many semi auto pellet guns and no full auto. I am sure one of us would of lost an eye.

Yes, forests. Think Russian version of parks, but in a town. 2 minutes from anywhere and you could find a nice private spot ;) Also people there live in condos. Kinda limits the # of rooms.

me and my friends played with pellet guns and bb guns in forests when i was a kid and no one ever complained, rules were you didnt shoot when someone walked by, and when someone looked alarmed you informed them they were toys.

now if you or your gf got or gets hit, thats when you chase the shitheads down and beat them with a monkey wrench.... now where can i get one of those shirts?
