I'd just get some Olive Drab BDU and an M16 along with a helmet with a fish net cut down and stuck on. That's the basics of it, I believe, if you want a cheap look-alike. Otherwise yea, go for the classic look.

I think I saw the very helmet when I was in DC at a museum. I can't remember which one though, I went to a LOT.
