because really, from a distance with those stickers it will just look like you got your AEG covered in mud. |
that is great
amazing site ...thanks for your help with the paint tips... any one ever do it? any obsticales(sp) to avoid?
|
It would be cool if you could actually paint it to match your floor....
That would be so awesome.... Unless you are other than a chairsofter like most of us, then it would just be nuts to paint it like your floor. If you've got kids though, paint it as the floor. No more worries about missing eyes. |
hardwood
i mean the hardwood forest ..not floor ..sorry didnt explain it well...my appologies...

You are going to curse yourself if ever you change your mind. The glue on that tape is HELL on airsoft gun bodies.
|
I never liked this kind of camo but hey , I loe things that are different so Kudos to you....nonetheless , Duracoat paint is a hell lot better than stickers IMHO
|
Realtree and similar type camo is great for hunting, but not for airsoft. Simple reason is that trees/brush dont move. Granted the camo YOU are wearing is more important than the gun, but still. There is a reason you dont see any army's using that type of camo. Even a simple OD spray paint with brown streaks mixed in would help you more.

I first thought it looked like an M4 because its not everyday that you see a G36 painted/stickerd like that. But hey if it works well in the field who's going to laugh

Anyone know how to get Mossy Oak camo on a gun?
|
You take a proper spray paint, like krylon. You put random twigs and small leaves over areas of the gun as you paint.
Let dry. It works, Foxtail did exactly that and it looked fantastic. |
Here's what I did, very easy and quick;

Lerch that looks great
Hey...amazing job man.... very cool process....thanks for the tips
|
So there's no way to get Mossy Oak brand camo? Cause that stuff is awesome.
|
Try thinking simple when it comes to camo'ing weapons
http://members.airsoftcanada.com/kok.../m4_desert.JPG the krylon camo series is all you need for most any environment. |

The tape really fucks your gun's finish. The paint takes time, skill and creativity. Your choice. Here's a small hint; in most cases there is NO way anyone will spot anyone else by the color of their gun. If you're close enough to see that during a game, something just went wrong, one way or another. This being said: A well done camo job on a gun looks fantastic. How about you get through the age-verification process before thinking of anything else? Oh, you're 15? Tell you what, you have 3 more years to read. Read a lot. Since you can type, I bet you can read. Did you know that most of this is already written down? No? Maybe you would find good answers that way. |
please close this thread
as it is getting off topic... i thank you people for the help

you can get the mossy oak on a gun.
some stores sell sticker paper for your printer. Even that CD label maker crap can work. Just print it from your computer, waterproof it and stick it on. that being said, mossy oak is fine for hunting....but suck for airsoft. I have a mossy oak camo set for deer season, and thats fine, but it does sweet shit all for airsoft. As soon as you move, your visable. There is a reason the military does not use hunting camo...because against humans, its outpreformed by real camo. |
