good hand gun
hey guys,
i have been looking at 007 airsoft and i want to buy a pistol. I would like one that can be concealed (most of the scenerios i play we have undercover secrret service agents, seals and terrorists) and i love to be the SS agent. What do you recommend? i would like a gun that looks quite realistic, can be concealed from sight, metal, must run on a gas, and hopefuly has some kind of a holster. I am looking at $350 and under. thanks! -galen |
What would the point be in concealing an airsoft gun? Everyone on the field knows you have it. But if you insist, go with the KWA G19. Metal slide, takes cheap , good power and accuracy. I think Rangers Airsoft was selling them off for $200 a piece at Christmas, they might still have one. Otherwise the KSC gun is the same without the metal slide.

KWA G19
Can't go wrong with this gun.. I have 4 for them.. they are tough, reliable and accurate. Upgrade the recoil spring and they are even better
|
the reason i want it concealed is because there are people in normal clothing who do not have a gun, and i am mixed up with them. the terrorists then take some hostage, so i need to get in with a gun without them seeing, they also rarely do a patdown.

Well, that is a very cool idea. I just would never go to an airsoft game where the idea is "Okay. Put away your $500 gun. Today you are going to pretend to be an unarmed cilivilian, like you are every day. Oh, and other people will be you". But I actually like the concept as long as I get a gun. maruzen has a new p99 compact out (as if the original wasn't small enough) and the any 3.9 or 4.3 length handgun should do the job. The Marui 4.3 Hi-Capa might be up your alley if you dislike Glocks.

wait untill your 18
|
you will probably get flamed and/or someone will tell you to wait 2 years within 5 min...
EDIT: BAAHAHAHAH Burnt! KSC or KWA (same) G19 is a really good GBB and like Brian said, You can't go wrong with this gun. |
Personally, I think 16 is a good age to start airsofting on a private lot. I'm not even 16 yet, but I would consider myself a reasonably "mature" airsofter. As long as they keep it safe, then who cares what they do, or if they want to buy a gun.

is KSC and KWA the same company?
thanks! galen |

The search button is you friend. |
Not if you have an buy the gun and you play on private property. Anyways, yes KSC and KWA are the same, excpet KSC slides are ABS, KWA are metal and don't have trades sometimes, if not always (someone care to clarify?).

Except of course for the whole fact that a person under 18 can not legally posses replica firearms. |

thank you all very much.
is KWA and KSC are the same except for the metal slide, are the magazines the exact same? -galen |

Persons may posses them. People under 18 are not legaly "persons" they can only posses replicas under the direct supervision of their parent or legal guardian. direct supervison is .. the parent or guardian is with the minor supervising them. if caught with them.. a minor.. I mean their parent could be charged with a "cocktail" of criminal offenses. Improper use of a prohibited device, transfering a prohibited device, child endangerment, neglect, and if convicted could serve up to 5 years. I expect if parents knew this they would think twice about buying replicas for minors. |
I'm getting KJW M9 - good reviews, already full metal and very decent price... Hope it holds in CQC at TTAC3 :)

Speaking of transportation of the arms. Anyone know a good place to buy a case? Maybe foam style with aluminum shell :) Want to make sure the guns aren't just rolling around in the trunk!
|
mags are the same

Davemire, Canadian Tire has two sizes of aluminum breifcase style cases, the small cheaper one is about $20, big enough to hold any handgun and a few mags/accessories. The larger one, you could put quite a few handguns in there plus toys. It costs about $30. It's roughly the same size as a normal briefcase, just thicker. Look in the toolbox section. |
thanks for all of the information you guys, i really appreciate it.
the two hand pistols i have it narrowed down to is the g19 or the KWA MAC 11, which one will give me the upper hand? i need accuracy, concealibility, the higher the ROF the better, durability. is the KWA MAC 11 basically an uzi type gun? -galen |
i just recently purchased the tm hicappa 4.3 very small and very accurate and powerful probably one of the nicest gbb's ive used
|
Good luck concealing a M11 unless you wear a big coat. Very awkward design to hide with the long mag. Look into the Maruzen Micro uzi with short mags, pistol sized, gih rate of fire, blowback is weak so accuracy is reasonably maintained with longer bursts. If you're playing % ist" then it fits the look too. The G19 is probably a better choice because it is smaller, more functional, holds I think 20 +1 rounds, and in semi auto, you're more likely not to run out of ammo. Well priced to for a GBB. Remember to use ! Especially if it's a KWA.

Simple non-descript carry case; get a cheap lockable briefcase from anywhere. Line it with foam.
Galen, if you want and SMG, buy an SMG. If you want a handgun, buy a handgun. You still have to be 18 to buy either. You can read the Reviews section, too. Better yet, why dont you go to a game and see what folks use? That will help you far more than asking. And if the local place does not allow players under 18, you will know it's simpler to wait. |
thank you all very much. my local place allows 14 year olds to play with permission as i stated in a previous thread. I have used the TM M4A1S, the TM M4A1 and the TM AK47. i love the ak 47. I intend to get this when i am ready to get an AEG.
thank you all very much. -galen |
What most people are saying, and get flamed for it too, is that "Oh my local field allows you to play if you're 14 if your parent signs for you", key phrase, IF YOUR PARENT SIGNS RESPONSIBILTY OF YOU, god, and these guys get flamed and bashed.
Also, when people start a thread asking a question, I don't think all they want to hear is "Use the search button n00b", like actually try to help them, then maybe remind them to use the search button later, if someone posts a question about something, and everyone gets all huffy saying "This topic was discussed already, go find the first one", and meanwhile the topic was first discussed like 2 months before, I have seen this happen on more boards than one. /rant off Well for conceilability(sp?) and function, with that Bond-esque look, you can't go wrong with a Maruzen PPK, for $98 from WGC, (or you could order it through Tru, or somehow else), they are quite cool looking, hold 22 rounds, and weigh about half a kilo, considering they can fit in your hand, they are quite heavy. Your other alternative would be a trusty KSC G19, rugged, well known, small, heavy, and many upgrade parts are readily available. peace- JT. |
The primary problem here is that Galen has obviously no real idea about what he wants. He's not even staying with a similar type of gun. SMG and handguns are far from the same.
So please tell me, from your 14 year old pedestal, why telling him to go see for himself what folks really use is bad advice? If he goes to a game, and for example sees a whole lot of Glock 19 from a same manufacturer, maybe there's a reason? Maybe there's a clue in there someplace? Maybe he wont waste his cash on something useless because he'll have the chance to try something first? Maybe you should sit back and listen yourself because there are GOOD reasons behind what Experienced people say? |

Grey, I didn't directly mean you, or some other people on here, if my post sounded offensive to you or others, I'm sorry it did. What I was trying to get across (and I probably should have done this in another thread or over PM) is that I see posts in a lot of threads that just have "Use the search button", and that's it, and there is one in this thread as well, where the person just instantly posts that and walks away, like in here. And Grey, I didn't mention you or your posted advice, I think you bring a lot to the table, and help out people when they need it, the fact my post was directly after yours was a coincedence(sp?).
I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but not to the people who post one-liners about the Search button, I think we all have at least the intelligence to know it's there, maybe some just need evidence or proof inquiring to their question and it's details. Cheers :) JT. Oh and Galen, your best bet would either be to get the KSC G19, or if you're looking to be quite versitile when you whip out your pistol to light up the terrorists, you could get the KSC G18c, which has Full-Auto as well as Semi, for those sticky situations. (And I hear it is only like $20-30 more than the 19) |
