Any KSC Glock Extended Mag Users?

Does anyone have any experience with the KSC Glock Extended mag (50 & some odd rounds)?

Are they the same as KSC's G19 mags, in that you need extremely strong & non-sensitive fingernails to pull the thing down to load BBs, as well as the little plastic catch that holds the gas-injection-valve-cover on?

Thanks,
Mirage

p.phresh January 5th, 2006 10:07

yes, they are the same thing.... just longer.

mirage13 January 5th, 2006 10:19

Argh, that's bad news for me.

My fingernail is already killing me, and I've only put about 5 mags through my Glock 19 mag.

Poop!

Thanks for the info though, p.phresh.

maybe you just need to grow out those girly-man fingernails... either that or stop using those acrylic fake fingernails that have glossy nailpolish and little diamonds on them. Makes them weak. hehehe.

btw, when you pull the bb follower all the way down to the bottom, it should lock into place, which should help you out.

yanhchan January 5th, 2006 15:27

I found that using the side of my desk to be effective instead of using finger nails. But that was when I had a KHC...

Doesn't seem to work very well on mine, maybe I just need to work in the mag a bit.

Some mags that catch wears out. Neither of my M11 mags latch now, and one of my 4 G19 mags doesn't either. I have super tough ass'd nails and don't have any problems, but did notice with repeated loading that the flesh under the nail was separating away from the nail for a couple mm.

This mag was NIB until last night.

Yeah, my finger hurts :(

aftica January 5th, 2006 15:48

dude, go to your local cosmetics counter, and ask the nice lady for something to put on your nails, that will protect them! my daughter uses this stuff, forget what it is called. and seriously, take the gun with you, and show her.... just, so you don't look weird. or try using your thumb nail, to pull the follower down.

Mr Jon January 5th, 2006 15:57

I used a small flat head mini screw driver on my M11 and G18 mags, worked like a charm to hold it down into place without tearing up your nails.

There's a really smart idea

Nothing says "I'm not wierd" like pulling out a pistol in Shopper's Drugmart.

DuffMan January 5th, 2006 17:15

Most KSCs come with a loader thing

I recall one g/f having some nail polish base that had fibres in it to make nails stronger. Dunno, I've always had long nails on my right hand for guitar/banjo playing, always been stronger than anything. Still do have nails, can use them to slice open new CD cases, tape on boxes, t/p pacakging......... hehe. Useful to have. Anyways Mirage, sounds like your best bet it to either toughen up your little thumbnail, or use a small screwdriver/allen key to press it and hold it down while you shove BBs down your mag's throat. BTW, if you can't take the pain of loading a GBB mag, how are you gonna take the pain of BBs impacting your flesh when you get out to play?

do extend mags fit G26's?

mirage13 January 5th, 2006 17:33

I bite my nails, till they bleed sometimes, without even realising it. Nervous habbit since the age of, I can't even remember.

Trust me, I can tolerate the pain of BBs hitting my flesh NP, as for trying to use my non existant fingernail (which, in all actuality, is the "quick" underneith my nail), I can only tolerate that for about 5 mags worth of fun.

Yup, extended mags fit the KSC G26C, apparently anyways.

I was told my TM G26's magazine would fit the KSC G26C as well though (and it doesn't), so I don't know.

I'm gonna take the $100 chance on it anyways, and hope for the best.

ILLusion January 5th, 2006 18:09

my typical glock loadout for one skirmish round is two 50 round extended mags and 7 regular sized mags...

I bit my nails off for a couple years when I was a kid, peeling them off was painful and I grew out of it. Something you should consider fixing there Mirage. Coat your nails with Krazy Glue or some other foul tasting crap to break your habit. When I worked as a dishwasher for a bit, I used to cover my nails in Krazy Glue to keep water out of the nail pores and lengthen the life of them. I can appreciate how much nails cut/ripped short hurts, I still on occasion cut my nails on my left hand too short and it makes everything hurt, putting on socks, you name it. I used to be a hardcore gum swallower, chew for a few mins then get an uncanny urge to swallow it, and did. If I spat it out, I'd get an extreme urge to swallow after for a few mins, then forget about it. Just had to make spitting gum fun and now I can keep my gum in my mouth (changed to Excel, avoid bubble gum) for an hour or two and not get a craving to swallow. Added to the fun being outside and spitting my gum out and drop kicking it as far as I could. Nutshell, it's psychological, all in your head. If you focus on stopping, you'll benefit greatly. Keep nail cutters in your pocket and focus on picking your nose instead. Lmfao, nails help that too!!!!!

yanhchan January 5th, 2006 18:22

One of the reasons I avoid magazines like that is because I'm a nail biter...

Ghillie973 January 5th, 2006 18:27

I also bite my nails very, very short. What I do is use the corner of the base plate on my 2nd mag to push down the bb follower on the 1st mag. This way it doesn't cut into my skin.

Im not trying to sound rude, but...... Am I the only person here thats figured out that one of those $15 Tokyo Marui push loaders can load any KSC Glock mag with perfect "double stacking" everytime. You dont need to hurt or damage your finger nails, the pressure from the loader will push the spring down as it loads. Works flawlessly. It doesnt work on M11 mags though.

Hope this helps. And I own the 50 round glock mag and this works perfectly.

Tried it, guess I didn't use it right, didn't work worth shit, spat BBs every which way, it sucked ass, tossed it. Good advice for those that can get it to work though. Guess I'm too old school at times. Then again, I'm pretty heavy into sniping, and anything that might put a mark or a cut on my precision sniping BBs (washed Straight 0.30g and 0.36g BBs, as well as SGM 0.29g BBs), and I use them in my Glock 19s as well, would toss the BBs every which way, so I load all by hand. Only use BB loaders on my MP5 mags.
