For those waiting for orders from me...

I had a large WGC pre-order go out in October that a number of people participated in.

I made this post to update everybody on the situation of it since it's been taking much longer than normal for it to arrive:

The package, due to the size of it, piqued custom's attention and they originally pulled it to verify the value of contents.

That took 2 weeks.

Then during the inspection, they were suspicious of some items and sent them off for examination. Some goods were seized.

That took 2 weeks.

The package was then cleared and sent back to the brokerage...

...Only to have customs change their mind and pulled it AGAIN for re-examination.

It's been 2 weeks.

That is where we now stand. Assuming no more problems, it *should* be arriving this week, but with the Christmas rush, I would not be surprised if there are any more delays.

I've already contacted those who had seized goods.
The goods seized were firearms replicas and the buyer had prior warning that there was the chance of seizure.
The rest of the goods should be okay by customs, which is why I don't understand why they feel the need for a reinspection, but yeah.
Just goes to show that even brokers can only do so much for quickly clearing a shipment.

a little of the topic but what about fixing my guns?

Nuck December 26th, 2005 18:33

pm?

ILLusion December 26th, 2005 18:44

gun fixing is underway. I started on yours last week, but been pretty backlogged due to lots of work and holidays. Once this batch of upgrades and fixes are done, I will no longer be in the business of gun upgrades and repairs.

willy December 27th, 2005 16:25

WHAT you mean you dont like taking my money? whats wrong with you man.

Xenos-Fear December 27th, 2005 16:59

It's taking time also, don't forget that ! We got a life to live on beside airsoft ! Upgrading AEG is a long process if you want to do it fine ! I understand the Illusion's decision.

ILLusion December 29th, 2005 00:09

i don't mind the money and will continue to sell parts and accessories, but performing labour on gun upgrades and repairs is not where I want to go towards.

Yeah, I did that for 3-4 years. It's just too time consuming. Average upgrade can take 3-8 hours depending on the gun and upgrades. Multiply that by 4 or 5 guns a week... it's a friggin full time job.

No doubt.

The labour itself, I can get done pretty quick.. typically 1 hour, with hardly any ever going over 2 hours unless it's a real problem repair or a custom modification. I charge accordingly, rather than a flat rate to make sure I'm compensated properly, but I end up losing a lot of time on consultation when it comes to this stuff. That's where I don't charge and it severely cuts into my time.

ILLusion December 30th, 2005 10:43

Good news, tracking shows the shipment as finally being released and sent back from the clearing agency on friday.
Now in transit for delivery.
I should be receiving it any time this week (I'm guessing thursday).

Anybody who wishes to follow it online can do so at www.ups.ca with this tracking number:

Bunny January 20th, 2006 21:24

Canada customs is one thing, but that 'courier service' has had that package for 14 days (and counting) within the same province.

ILLusion January 21st, 2006 19:17

yeah, so i called ups regarding the matter.

apparently it was just "sitting in the warehouse" for the 2 weeks.
morons.

they said they'd notify the warehouse and have it picked up and sent to me asap.

AvroAero January 21st, 2006 21:54

Douches.

BloodSport January 21st, 2006 22:12

They should refund the delivery costs to you :)

Syphen January 24th, 2006 11:21

*crosses fingers* comon this week! comon!!

ILLusion January 24th, 2006 16:05

I inquired on the full shipment yesterday to find out what was going on from both UPS' and the CBSA's ends and from what I gathered, CBSA did send the release forms back to UPS late last week. CBSA and the Clearing Agency apparently have different systems and the clearing agency still had not yet received the paperwork from CBSA. Due to this discrepancy, UPS could not yet release the packages, but after doing some legwork, I got progress...

I just received packages 2 of 3. The largest package got seperated from the other 2 and for whatever reason is still sitting in the UPS Hamilton warehouse.
That package has the majority of your guy's stuff, but I still have a good bit of stuff here that I can send out for the time being. Hopefully I get package 3 tomorrow.

BloodSport January 24th, 2006 17:07

Sweetness. DE parts and 226 Masher made it I hope :P

ILLusion February 1st, 2006 15:52

AvroAero February 13th, 2006 15:16

Still waiting.

ILLusion February 14th, 2006 02:03

doh! you're the final person that I haven't contacted. Sorry about that, I thought I got you. Was wondering why there was no reply... details in PM.
