HFC M9 or KJW M9

HFC M190 Special Force (Full Metal Version)
KJ Full Metal M9 (Metal Version)

Just looking for personal opinions on their looks, markings, performance.
Any opinion will be appreciated.

Thanks

Never tried the KJW M9, but I looked at reviews for both of them (having to have read at least 10 each, and looking around for any technical errors that the guns may have had).

I have to admit, I stuck with the HFC M190. More replacement parts, high velocity, works like a charm with Marui M9 mags, etc. Only issues are no decocker in the safety, which is an unrealistic yet good point for me, and the trademarks (But it's for shooting, not for showing off).

Either way, other comparisons showed them on par, and 2 reviews done by the same guy on each gun gave them the same rating in each category.
However, another review on Arnies had the KJW M9 having rounds rolling out the barrel every once in a while, and a BB ejecting like a casing once (Yet, as AvTomAt kindly pointed out, it may be a lemon).

Either way, I can't tell you really which is better. They perform the same, but each has their high and low points. Your choice, review on both can be found at www.arniesairsoft.co.uk .
Cheers, and good luck.
Nate

Since the bbs eject like casing id stay away from the one and just buy a KSC glock or WA Beretta

Bob the Angry Potato October 10th, 2005 17:38

WA Beretta's are expensive, and once again, IT MAY HAVE BEEN A LEMON. The other reviews were great, and that review said he's fired countless rounds and it never happened again after that, so I'm assuming no.
He wants a Beretta. Stay on topic, this is between 2 guns.

softairaction October 10th, 2005 17:42

Well I have read both those reviews and they seem close in the end it is your choice

TheDragoon October 10th, 2005 17:54

Thanks bob for the reply.
Thanks for replying soft but i only want the HFC or KJW full metal beretta.

Would be nice if anyone that actually shot or owns one or both of these to give me some personal info.

Bob the Angry Potato October 10th, 2005 17:55

Mine's on the way, but it's a custom order so it doesn't get here in a month.
I've fired a used one, and I have to say I love it. The recoil's better then a .22, it's an admirable gun.

TheDragoon October 10th, 2005 18:02

Your talking about the HFC or the KJW?

Bob the Angry Potato October 10th, 2005 18:26

The HFC M190 (M9), as stated beforehand.

Assassassain October 10th, 2005 18:29

I'm getting a KJW m9 in 1 month or two.

You will be happy you did. I've heard of only two or three people who have had problems with their KJW M9's. I absolutely love that gun and will never be without one.

SKI October 10th, 2005 19:38

I have had no issues with my KJW M9. It sometimes goes through a mag a little quick but then again, the mags have high flow valves in them. I don't know anything about the HFC so I couldn't compare the two but I do love the KJW. So far, its been bulletproof.

Rumpel Felt October 10th, 2005 22:42

I still stand by the KJ zm9 all the way though mine broke in two places. The safety broke on me but that's my fault for playing with it so bloody much. Then my barrel broke in two while shooting. I think this was just a factory screw up because when I first got it, there was a white line exactly where the barrel broke. Oh well, it was still a damn good pistol and I used it as my only gun is a night and day game. After it broke I sold it for parts and my two extra mags went to Freedom Fighter. ^

-_-

I've always loved my KJW M9. Never had any problems with it, as long as you lube the gun well.

The only down side is the sights. You have to paint the dots yourself, but thats not a big issue.

FYI, HFC just recently released HFC HG199 Metal ( Semi/Full Auto Version ). you might wanna look at that. It has been getting good reviews so far at Arnie's...Trades are shit as usual...but the gun is apparently an overall improvement over their 190 M9.

Anyone get a price on one of those?

Syphen October 11th, 2005 07:19

Well.. I owned a KJ M9 (Elite 1A) and it was shit. The gun would constantly spray out all of its gas everytime you pulled the trigger, had a really lose mag seating, in addition to misfeeds. All on a brand new gun straight out of the box with 2 brand new mags. KJ lost all of my faith all together with that gun. My broken Marui M9 was a better performer and my KSC glock 19 was 100x the gun that my KJ m9 was.

TheDragoon October 11th, 2005 13:56

That KJ M9 you got sounds really shitty. But yea im not into glocks so its either one of those berettas.

The HFC M190 Special Force is 240cad
KJ Full Metal M9 is 300cad

Personally I was thinking the HFC cause the reviews I read are both about the same and its 60 bucks cheaper.

Anyone own a HFC M190 Special Force and has used it in games, can tell me how it is?

Bob the Angry Potato October 11th, 2005 15:59

Damn... if you're not buying within the next 2 months, I'll have mine in a month and a half and would gladly place a review (On the HFC Metal Semi/Full Auto GBB).

Everyone gets a lemon once in a while.

I've used my HFC M190 for at least a dozen games and love it. I found it to be a very reliable secondary. It's not expensive so I didn't worry about babying it if you know what I mean...

I recently purchased the hfc m190 ). The gun was brand new. The outer barrels gun metal grey paint had scraped off a bit due to a metal fault in the casting of the slide (propspective customers racking it). There was also a small raised casting fault on the bottom of the slide (where it rests and slides on the frame) but that doesn't appear to affect performance. I'm going to smooth it down a bit anyway.

I've only played around with it doing a little IPSC style stuff in my backyard (DIE EVIL SOCCER BALLS) and I LIKE it. I was going to sell it initially but it's just too nice for anybody else to have. Yeah the trades make you look twice and I'm not sure it's super realistic that a Beretta has a rail, but I like the beretta grips and I like having a rail.

I've no experience with the KJ pistol at all but I know a lot of guys on my team (www.tac4airsoft.com ) have the KJ m9's ( not the elites ) and they seem to like them ok.

enjoy!
