loadout bags?

trying to lean out the amount of bags I have to haul around for games... I don't have much kit but it's spread out over several bags...

clothing bag, kit bag, support bag (ammo, batteries, gas, tools etc)
and no less than 2 rifle cases for a main and a backup.

I'd like to try and mash it all into 1 big wheeled bag and 1 rifle case.

A hockey bag would probably be the most economical, followed by a large piece of luggage. I'd like to be around 36" long, on wheels rugged enough to roll through dirt and possibly mud.

I have 2 vests currently but I'm in the process of consolidating it down to 1 rig capable of handling any primary I bring to the field and backup plus a battle belt.

I was looking along the lines of a LBT 2467A as it's huge enough to carry everything, but it also has a huge price tag. Apparently I missed a sale on clearance UCPs last year.. http://lbtinc.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=LBT-+2467A

Another candidate I'm looking at is the sandpiper california Rolling Load Out XL it's much more appealing in price range, and seems to be about the same size. http://shop.sandpiperca.com/index.ph...ote-brown.html

The benefit of getting a loadout bag is that I an probably use it for travel as well, those rolling loadout bags are a bit lighter I think than my standard rolling suitcase and larger.

Outside of militaria I was looking at a sparco metropolis bag, it has a separate compartment that I could probably stuff a rifle into, but at 250~$ I think there might be better options. http://www.sparcousa.com/product/metropolis
Anyone have some recommendations?

camo pattern is less desirable than a flat colour, having something in black, tan or FG is probably a bit more desirable than something in ucp or other camo print.... of course... I won't turn down the lbt if it ever shows up at 50$ again.

550$ is quite a bit to pay, if it ever comes on sale, it would be a great deal... I figure the cams-2 will be the upper end of the price range I'd be willing to pay, which I think will limit my options... guess I'll have to watch for sales.

BioRage February 23rd, 2014 16:43

Hockey bags are cheap.. I am thinking of getting one too.

I use two large reusable groceries bags. 1 for my clothes etc. I leave this one in the SUV.. The other I bring in.. It holds my BBS, mask, goggles, water, etc. I also bring a old laptop bag that holds my propane and such. And one gun bag to hold my mags and rifle and pistols.

lurkingknight February 23rd, 2014 16:57

the only problem with hockey bags is that I see ones that are torn with wrecked zippers all the time. And looking at hockey life , the 40" rolling easton bag is 150$... for that price, I can get the sandpiper bag, but that one also has reviews that complain about quality.

LOL WUT.

I think OP is asking about a bag for large ops, not for carrying gear from the trunk of a car to an indoor venue for 15 metres.

The sandpiper doesn't look bad actually...

#ghettostyle

I need a new bag.

lurkingknight February 23rd, 2014 17:01

well I do have a canvas tote for clothes lol. That stays in the car during the op, but it owuld be nice to have access to rain gear on the field. I think the cams is looking like the one. Will just have to wait to see if anything comes on sale while I think it over some more.

AlexGPS February 23rd, 2014 17:31

If your interested i could find out what bag my friend uses since he has just 1 bag and pretty much fits everything he uses for airsoft in that bag. I know for sure its a British deployment bag but im not sure as the make or whatever. And if im not mistaken he bought his second hand for about 15 pounds or 20 pounds from ebay.co.uk Thats dirt cheap for a bag that you can fit in an m4 and ics g33 a ciras vest etc that he uses during 1 outing of airsoft. You can check up on ebay about those and see what you find. They are british deployment bags.

Ricochet February 23rd, 2014 17:33

Voodoo Tactical Mojo bag if you're on a budget, they can hold two or more load-outs, with molle across the back for additional pouches. Comes in a variety of colors, including multicam, and you can keep all your crap properly separated. Plus one for LBT though, they are nice.

http://www.voodootactical.net/p-1337...ck-straps.aspx

lurkingknight February 23rd, 2014 17:40

the voodoo isn't a bad choice... but I want wheels and a pull lever, it would be nice to have it double as an oversize travel bag, but it's not a hard requirement. As it stands, I have that giant gear bag from proper that was part of their adventure tech gortex sale last year, that one is big enough for most of my kit, but since it's a soft bag with no wheels, it's hard to lug around.

i have a lbt loadout bag and its really nice holds everything. You can wait for it to go on sale or buy it on ebay. I got mine for around $180 all in off ebay but had to get it in ACU.

Before that I tried a Uncle mikes loadout bag was cheap but kinda small for a full loadout.

Hockey bags do work pretty good too but I like the LBT better cause its got dividers and lots of smaller pouches.

If you want wheels, do this^, and wait for it to go on sale. LBT or bust really. You don't want to just throw all your crap in one spot, or just get a hockey bag.

Short Round February 24th, 2014 10:30

Is there a usual period LBT puts these on sale for dirt cheap? Or is it just randomly? Last time I checked during their 2013 annual sale the bags were around $300 each still.

naa.. the one I'm most upset about is the clearance sale last year... 99$ for a MC one... 60$ for a UCP one.

other than my gunbag which has a fair bit of space, ive got a massive old CF issue green duffle bag, i can nearly fit inside it myself if i had to

only downside is there is no compartmentalization

when I went to japan last year, we kept wanting to steal the maids in akihabara... and all the duty free shops had luggage for sale... while it was kind of a joke... we kept eyeing the luggage like we were seriously going to do it.

That sandpiper bag with the extendable top is a 1 maid bag...

This one is definitely a 2 maid bag.

edit would be nice if I put the link in.

speaking of which, the one you promised me hasn't shown up yet. =P

hockey bag. cheap and durable, they don't look out of place anywhere in Canada. also you can roll up to the hardcore sim games with it and your "rifle" for the lulz

I was going to make some smartass comment about how real men don't get hockey bags with wheels...then I remembered that I had to walk six blocks in the legendary Vancouver rain with mine fully loaded for 3 months of vacation last year.
get the f*kin wheelie bag. those things are hard to carry.

lurkingknight February 24th, 2014 13:55

you get yours after I get mine. :X

wobblypop February 25th, 2014 01:02

I sell a lot of different rolling luggage. I would have to say the Dakine split roller is awesome. 100 litres of storage and one side of it is sectioned in to 3 compartments, so its easy to organize. This seasons woodland camo pattern is SICK! Plus it has a lifetime full replacement warranty. $215 and you have it for L-I-F-E! Anyway here is a link http://ca.dakine.com/p/bags/luggage/...r-100l?clr=251
Lol no I'm not working for dakine it's just a great bag.

lurkingknight February 25th, 2014 08:52

not bad. A sale price would make it a pretty good contender if the wheels hold up on dirt

OM3GA February 27th, 2014 21:46

I will personally suggest the LBT load out bag. I have had mine for over a year and it is still in pretty much brand new condition. They have various colours on sale almost every sale that they have. I was lucky enough to grab 2 of the multicam ones then they were $100, so I may be a little biased. :P

The lightfighter Olympus II is a new option too, it looks pretty snazzy!

lurkingknight February 27th, 2014 23:36

I like that olympus bag... expandable so if I do use it as luggage I can keep it short and sweet until I load it with... stuff I get from japan. 320$ is not bad... it's in the neighborhood of the 5.11 bag.

edit;

looking at it some more, unless I land some secret .gov pricing 320 US looks like the price, and only direct from litefighter. Also looks like it's pretty new so probably won't be a sale any time soon.

meanwhile, I've seen the 5.11 cams in black as low as 220 US on ebay.

Tough choice... a olympus would make really good luggage with expandability, and it's only 14 pounds vs the 22.5 of the cams.

Short Round March 14th, 2014 06:42

FYI

IT IS $99 and you get an extra medical bag.

Just bought me one, came to $230 CDN Ground shipped!

http://lbtinc.com/mm14/medical-bag-loadout-bag-kit.html

Jbone 11 11 March 14th, 2014 08:24

WTF do you need a huge bag like that for? Get a ruck and a rifle case and your good to go. Troops seem to make out alright with just that. Shit...a 64 ruck is all I ever needed for 8 days in the bush....mind you I wasn't hauling 8 days worth of ammo, but everything elese was in there.

Just sayin'

Ricochet March 14th, 2014 08:53

I'm telling ya, Voodoo Tactical Mojo bag.

It's large, comes with straps so I can be used as a ruck, comes covered in pockets and molle webbing. You can easily and seperately store your ammo, batteries, gas, etc, in their own pockets. You can then hang your spare pouches on the outside, or hang extra pouches to fill more shit in your bag. The inside is large, and will hold at least two full loadouts, even your guns if you wanted. Maybe not a sniper rifle, but definitely and M16, or any large gun that'll break down. They're also tough as hell, and a available in Canada.

same price to ship it... great deal for anyone who has a buddy or two who wants one.

I've already ordered the bag that made the top of my list, I would've wanted the larger one.

That looks pretty awesome. I'd love to find something that could hold all my crap in one bag like that, and still fit in my trunk. Probably not happening both ways, though.

phloudernow March 24th, 2014 17:20

If you can still find some, try the airsoft surgeon warrior bag :) I picked 2 up for guys here on ASC a while back :P Headless Chicken has one and Tygr701 has another

they dont make them anymore , but u might be able to find some lying around :)

these bags are awesome they can fit lots of kit + guns in it. basically a giant modified golf club bag :D

lurkingknight April 3rd, 2014 00:19

jebus the cams 2.0 is huge.

The inner bin is a slightly smaller than anticipated, the separated rifle tub underneath takes up a fair amount of space. Would've been nice if they devised some sort of system to free up that space back into the main compartment, but the tub can be used to carry anything that requires a hardshell to protect it.... further review coming this weekend when I have a time to try loading all my crap into it.

An entire 36" rifle bag can fit inside the tub, so this bag will be carrying my backup guns to big games too.

edit: quick test to see what i could cram in...

1 tac vest with 6 p90 mags... 1 plate carrier with 8 rifle mags, battle belt with serpa and 2 rifle mags, 2 pistol cases, knee pags, 3 sets of eye pro, propane tank, lower face mask, straps to convert my plate carrier into a chest rig, shemagh, gloves, serpa leg rig and another serpa, battery case... There's STILL room. I haven't even put anything into the hard tub yet.

Rain gear, radio gear, BBs, mp7, p90, AEG tool kit, can all still go in... and that will be the balance of the kit... minus 1 rifle and hardcase.

TaroBear April 3rd, 2014 09:55

Going to pick up a voodoo. Hopefully its not to tall for the car. I'm hoping the compression straps work as well as advertised.

Red62 April 3rd, 2014 22:21

That pack looks pretty sweet, but I've managed a more budget idea:

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...403_220929.jpg

two M9, M24, Type 97b, Tippman 98 Custom and all gun accessories in the cases
Accessories bag, plate carrier, elbow-forearm pads, shin-knee pads, combat belt, holsters, dropbags, Desert Eagle in case, BDUs, gloves, spare goggles. Normally I'll just clip my helmet to the hand straps.
