KWA. NS2 rules

KWA
In general...
Hong Kong prices: KJW is cheaper Canadian prices: About the same Finish: KJW is glossy overall while KWA have powder coated metal frame (or really nice plastic ) and a semi-glossy slide Gas Efficiency: KWA wins Propellent option: KJW has CO2 option on almost every single of their pistol line up, KWA can use 134a effecctively while KJW have difficult time to do so. Range: KWA slightly, (not by much) Dimension: KWA is 1:1, while KJW may run into problem with holster (since it copy marui) Magazine reliability: KWA is better Overall reliability: Depends on the model |
KWA
functional decocker is win! |
KJW they make solid guns, and spare parts are very cheap and easy to order from the official site...

I e owed the kjw, we and KWA m9, and the KWA m9 PTP beats the others hands down. My m9 is my most reliable gun. Hard kick, awesome gas efficiency, and its just a solid beast. And I know some will argue with me, but I prefer kwas hopup to we or kjws.
For an M9 the KWA M9 PTP is hard to beat. Excellent replica, great gas efficiency and from personal experience, very reliable (others who have had it longer may disagree)
Thank you to everyone that responded. Thought Id let you know I went with the Kwa M9 ptp. It is a really solid gun. With hard kick! I would recommend it to anyone looking for an M9. Thanks again!
So how do you make a KJW more efficient?
Quick note on the KWA PTP: It shoots at 350+ FPS, which may be too hot for indoors (depending on the club). OTOH, the Dangerwerx valve (or the one produced by one of the members here) should drop the FPS to sub-320.

the valve is fatter allowing less gas to pass through :)

Did KWA change the design on the mag floorplate yet or is it still held on by the 2 fins?
On the new second generation, the floor plates are held on by two screws in addition to the fins- Damn things are durable after that.
And really easy to reseal too.
gen 2 mags work fine with first gen ptps?
Is that a question?
sorry, yes, do the gen 2 mags work fine in first gen PTPs?
I ask because I have a pre-NS2 PTP M9 that has needed some new parts, but I haven't bothered to fix it because I've broken so many mags. |

What GS said. I have Gen 1 and 2 guns, Gen 1 and 2 mags, all are interchangeable.
Sweet, thanks for clearing that up for me. I wasn't aware there wasn't a pre-NS2
There are pre-NS2 M9s, but I'm not aware of any PTPs that aren't NS2.
I'm fairly certain it was a PTP...then again, it was my first airsoft purchase over 4 years ago. How do I tell the difference between the two?
it actually says professional training pistol on the right side of the slide
KWA. The quality of their products is unrivaled (on the consumer market. MIL/LE market is a different story).
