Where are you going to use a 450fps gun? More importantly, what venue would allow you to field a 450fps gun?

j_march October 18th, 2012 18:06

ya no kidding, and VFC is prolly the best hands down.

McFearsom October 18th, 2012 18:10

Hands down vfc just researched this myself.

BennyBoy October 18th, 2012 18:30

VFC stock shoots pretty close to that

Thank you for the heads-up. I would suggest that in the example of that particular event, 450fps is very much the exception, rather than a norm. 400fps and less commonly 425fps, is usually the hard limit for most outdoor fields. 450fps to 500fps is usually limited to bolt-action type sniper systems.

Upgrading a rifle to 450fps, especially if it's your sole primary, would be severely limiting your selection of games that you can attend with it. In the OP's claimed use for it, i suppose it doesn't matter.

jeanson October 18th, 2012 19:25

450fps not for game

ill downgrade de fps if i would game with it!

Wantabe_Warrior October 18th, 2012 19:42

What do you mean for 'training'? Training for what?

Curo October 18th, 2012 19:54

short story.

for my girl friend i move at 650km from where i lived and since this time a can not play every week as before.

it cost me 250-300$ of gaz + lunch+the cost of a paitball milsim game and so on...

so i train on human target on plywood! (dont wana rust)

jeanson October 18th, 2012 21:22

on some site i find 37-390 fps and an other 435fps...

dnc understand and for the mag want to know if all m4 mag will work? i know its look like the same magwell but could be different!

i preferer real cap!

Rickshaw October 19th, 2012 01:34

They take STANAG (M4) mags as well as Emags but not Pmags. WE can be found at quite a lower price than the VFC ones (which are the best AEG HK416s on the market). I just bought the VFC 416 and I can tell you it's amazing.

JerryMcGoulBerry October 19th, 2012 01:56

Please dont make it 450 fps. That will not make it a good gun.
You have 2 options
Dboys 416. Cheap, so it leaves room for upgrades. This is what i would do.
Or VFC which you could probably just run stock. Up to you.
And you sound kinda... ...french. Dont be afraid to ask questions in french. Penth of french speaking Canadian on this site.

dice October 19th, 2012 12:26

If it really is for real steel trainng the GBBR is the way to go.

VFC for Gucci Looks.

WE Open Bolt HK416 for use in winter(co2) and harder kick.

jeanson October 19th, 2012 17:08

if i chose gbbr the probleme of leaking wil be only the mag?

can i have leak in the gun itself?

what the diference betwin the open/close bolt?? exept one open one close??

coach October 19th, 2012 17:26

Gas is stored in the mags. They are the primary source of leaking. But mags are serviceable and sealable. Leaking comes from failed seals/orings or damaged full or flow/rocket valves.

A leak in the gun would be more so that you broke something. Happens but much less likely than a mag leaking on you.

Closed bolt = brass cylinder inside the ejection port. You cannot see the mags feed lips or confirm if there is a round loaded or not.

Open bolt = no brass cylinder. System is much like that of a gbb pistol. Mag feeds lips are visible and you can quickly identify if a round is chambered.

jeanson October 19th, 2012 17:44

ok so no one is beter than the other it just depend what i want!

horto October 19th, 2012 18:24

we open bolt gas mag - http://www.revolutionairsoft.com/WE-...lt-_p_261.html

we open bolt co2 mag - http://www.revolutionairsoft.com/WE-...lt-_p_262.html

they also have a WE HK4168 on that site for a pretty damn good price. looks like Toronto Airsoft has some competition now. :)

Both have their quirks but both are fantastic and reliable with a little/proper TLC.

I'd recommend going with the open bolt as it's a simpler system if you are new to GBBR's and there will be less need to upgrade out of the box. Also, open bolt seems to be the market norm now and closed bolt will eventually become a thing of the past.

not sure of what you realy say... or the main purpose...

jeanson October 20th, 2012 15:42

what did you think of this?
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=146601

open bolt mag will work with close bolt?

the price is good?

coach October 20th, 2012 19:31

Open bolt mags will not work with closed bolt guns and vice versa. But, you can convert them by simply swapping feed lips and follower. The kits are fairly cheap.

jeanson October 20th, 2012 23:07

we open bolt 322$
vfc open bolt 534$

vfc is that much better for the price??

horto October 21st, 2012 00:53

You need to decide whether you want a GBBR or AEG.

BennyBoy October 21st, 2012 01:25

he's talking about VFC H416 GBBR me thinks :)

jeanson October 21st, 2012 08:47

haha vfc all the way.....aeg or gbbr dont know..... they had this guy in montreal that make a good deal for is gbbr......i think ill try it and how know it!

jeanson October 24th, 2012 16:32

im going to try a vfc gbbr close bolt an maybe bough it this weekend!

danceswithpellets October 24th, 2012 21:35

No mention of the SRC gen 3 hk416. Anyone wanna sound off?

Also- is it possible to pull the bottom and side rails off of the hk416? They would serve 0 purpose but weight for me

Evil_yd November 8th, 2012 22:18

the rails on a 416 are integrated in the handguard, it's one big cnc machined piece.
