the king arms would be the better buy because, it has been proven that its an outstanding gun. the WE on the other hand has just come out and, no one on this forum has been able to test it.

King arms for sure, G&P also for a little more $

I just bought the King Arms Colt M4a1 and so far my initial impressions is that it seems very solid and everyone at the store said that even though the gear box is harder to upgrade, it is rock solid reliable so you won't need to modify it.

It seems alot of other people have the same gun so the knowledge base out there on tips and mods is quite vast. I always like to know there is a lot of support for a product before I buy it.

My only slight gripe is the mag release/catch. It seems that I really have to slam the Mag into the well to engage it and it doesn't seem to fall out as easily as other brands. I thought it was just an isolated incident until I went to the store and tried out the display King Arms M4 and it was exactly like that too. None of the other m4 from other brands had that issue. Anyone know of a simple fix? I have already lubricated the mag release.

I don't see what you mean there? I have the Larue Tactical version, which is essentially the same as the colt with different trades and furniture, and the GB is the same as any other TM compatible gun no?

About your mag release, I don't have that issue at all. Did you try different mag brands? I'm using MAG and they're totally fine and feed very well. Try to put some black sharpie on the sides of one of your mag and put it back and forth in the magwell a few time. If you see some wear of the sharpie marks you could always try to sand or file the magwell just a bit in these locations.

I have the same question as OP, Rather than starting a new thread I'll do it here.

If I go for the King arms it will be hard to go to the gearbox because of the wire not able to disconnect, Also the bolt assembly will be a complicated process.

Mags are also an issue because I don't like MAG Brands, I'm more into King arms Mids.

In the other hand the WE covers up the problems with the wiring and the bolt assembly being easy to take apart, but the WE has its own problems like the chance of having a wobbly Upper assembly and the features might make problems in the near future.

I'm also looking into lower end type of brands like JG and Dboys but those have more issue combined and it is to vanilla for my taste.

If anyone had a WE or KA if you don't mind please tell me the issues like barrel wobble, broken internals and if you recommend it for me, Thank you so much and I hope you can help me out.

P.S Sorry for my writing layout if it is to hard to read :banghead:

I haven't found my kingarms to be anymore difficult to disassemble. My Kac PDW has quite a few extra steps but my Kingarms is pretty much the same as a standard TM compatible metal AR.

Also, I bought one of the cheaper Kingarms M4s, threw a tightbore, modify hopup rubber and an expencive madbull rail on it and it is one beast of a gun, use it as my primary now.

King arms m4. The WE has some poprietary parts. Not many, but they still have them. The king arms is just a really good standard m4. Lots of room for internal and external mods and upgrades.

Do you any tips taking it apart for the wiring and the bolt catch issue?

I'd never call anything on it an issue... I rewired mine to the rear first thing though and am running a buffer tube lipo. and for the bolt catch, you just remove the pin holding the bolt catch in and pull it straight out, no issue at all.

Internally, WE has two proprietary parts, the antireversal latch release (latch is the same) and the selector (any selector switch will fit)

We AEG has great internals for the price, mine has a wobbly receiver that was fixed by replacing the mechbox (I prefer lonex)

Their bolt catch kind of sucks, Go with the King arms, I am actually buying a king arms soon.

Andre_1999 September 16th, 2012 15:21

Alright I'll go with the king arms, I'll look for more reviews to learn about this m4 and what Mids to you use?
Do you guys use KA Plastic 120 mids?

AngelusNex September 16th, 2012 18:34

Magpull P and E mags work great in mine.

RaisinBran September 16th, 2012 21:25

For both guns, the MAG brand midcaps work fine, my WE doesn't feed properly right now though cause I left out my sector clip when i switched gears. Stock motor runs very fast with a 11.1

Meh, I have a WE M4 AEG and love it. It does indeed have a very slight wobble, but it's hardly noticeable, and I bash my gun to fuck. Internally it's almost completely TM compatible, so if you do get one and want to upgrade it's very easy and cheap. Only thing I'm upgrading however is my inner barrel to a tight bore. Other than that it works great for me; solid hop-up, good rate of fire (although I stick mainly to semi), etc. etc.. Some like the hammer, some like the mallet.

I love my WE to bits, I just need to get the problem where my mags dont feed properly. Most likely it's because I don't have sector gear clip
