How expensive ? (from Pimp my Gun into Airsoft)
After playing with pimp my gun for a while, I came up with this rather simple design. I was wondering how much would it cost to make it true, taking a Socom Gear Noveske N4 cqb as a base.
Here the pictures. I wouldnt mind using ACM acessories as long as they are decent quality. http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/258/myweapon3y.jpg Thanks. |
External only or External and internal?

On that note feel free to express your opinion. Constructive critisism is always apreciated. |
Go on your favorite airsoft store, fill the cart with your items and you'll see the price...
If you don't want ACM stuff, just buy Madbull, King Arms, G&P, etc accessories. |

My first thought upon seeing this was that it will be a major pain in the ass to acquire the Krylon ultraflat colors to pull this off :)
The rest of the stuff is easy. |
Orly? Flat OD and Tan are there everytime I go to canadian tire
Your price will really depend on what your looking for you could basically get an ACM part for all that or a quality name brand so it's really up to you. As other members have stated your best bet would to visit some of your favorite airsoft store's websites like: airsoftparts.ca airsoftdepot.ca airsoftpartshop.com overseas at ehobbyasia airsoftpark ebairsoft + A LOT more |
So it's just gonna hang on the wall?
Why not do the internals first? Get it shooting good, then make it look good lol |
Sights are a bit mismatched; a flip back with a rail mounted front... meh.
Color choices are a bit odd, I feel like you're trying to over sell the two tone thing. Looks like a pastel mess. Flash hider isn't my favorite, depends on what you want it to do I guess (ie silencers). Not a bad build overall, but it's a bit all over the place. |
Chairsofting at its finest right here...

IMO, chairsofting is more about having 6 000 posts on ASC, and attending 1 game a year, and in the end not going at it because you managed to make up an excuse not to. To the OP; Your setup is not my favorite, but if you have the balls to do it, do it. I remember seeing alot of weird faces when I came up the first time with my M4 stock on my MP5K, but in the end, i'm the one behind the trigger, not the community. |

As for the "how". I'd say JB weld? |
JB weld is on sale at princess auto right now for $3.99 I believe.

zap straps!
I used to have a CASV, I had a rail mounted M203 on it actually, got sick of it being mounted so low and learned that the rail system on the M203 is bolt on. So I machined it down a bit and drilled 2 holes in my M203 and bolted it directly to the bottom of the CASV as shown here.... http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._6983423_n.jpg |
Well for CASV its King arms or bust. The dboys one isn't nearly as good. I think the KA is 150.00
|
Had a casv on my old m4. Adds a good bit of front weight though!

I had dboys as well wasn't as bad as people said. Worked fine for me
|
The quality on mine isn't the best, I find the metal to be quite maliable. However, I was surprised and pleased at the fact I can fit a 9.6v numchuk battery in it.
|
No not rock solid but they arnt junk either. If its all you can afford

I had a dboys one too... it was soft and pliable as shit. It was a piece of garbage.

the back-up sights won't work with the EOtech mounted. The top-rail on a CASV raises the control interface of the holosight into the sight picture. To use them, you'd have to ditch the EOtech first. Plus, to properly use the AFG, with your thumb over the top rail, might prove to be an issue, especially with the added rail adding more width. CASVs can be pretty thick with stuff on them.
Have a King Arms CASV, it's rock-solid. Heavy, but it's pretty much indestructible, so far as I've noticed. |
