First 40mm grenade?

I was looking into getting some 40mm grenades and both of these interested me:
Mad Bull 120 rds M922A1 BB Shower
Mad Bull Stinger 24 rds BB Shower

Should I get one of these or get something else all together

coach July 4th, 2011 07:21

Get the madbull xm108hp (cherries), xm204hp (kings) or xmpb4 (multi's).

You won't regret it if you want to use these outdoors.

CO2 or bust. Propane is less than disappointing.

The Legend July 4th, 2011 07:39

I have read in the FAQs that you can't import these grenades. Some members have said they bought some on a website from outside of Canada. They were inspected and let through. Is that true?

I'm not really interested in CO2

what? why import as you can get them from the same vendor you posted the other two from.

not interested in CO2? your loss. a few of us that run CO2 only like getting kills out 100-120 feet with a near level trajectory. even further when the shot is arced

Reckless July 4th, 2011 11:40

*points* listen to that guy ... I think he owns more 40mm grenades then most airsoft websites sell in a year... LOL

I've had the oppertunity to fire a co2 40mm ... the feeling can't be described ... it makes crack look like a dime store popcicle ... seriously... take the feeling of pegging someone with a pistol @ 140ft through a crack in a wall... add in the rush of holding back 10 guys with a M249 ... and combine that feeling in a fraction of a section with a BANG a cloud of co2 and an instant spray of death engulfing your enemies

with a propane 40mm it's like.. pop... and you sit there going, "well shit, a cheap spring shotgun coulda done better then that... and get faster follow up shots..."

I don't have a lot anymore. That honour belongs to Wildcard.

But between Wildcard, Duckman and myself, yes we have and use lots! CO2 only.

Infantryman July 4th, 2011 20:16

Use with CO2 you say? Damn, I just sold my M203 too. Oh well.
Not as fun to use as a real one :D

I prefer my OpFor to be able to get up and fight again in the next round. Sure the real ones are fun, but games tend to end early that way.

TheHappy1 July 4th, 2011 20:46

And where do you get the adaptor for CO2, I used greengas in mine and got quite so-so results.

and wouldn't you know it.. you always hit the guy that hasn't paid his share in gas yet too! ...

as for the CO2 adapter ... Madbull makes an adjustable one I like it :D ... I think Rap4 or Sthunder makes one too, but no experience there.

before fitting yer shell with co2 .. make sure it can take it ;)

Get the madbull. The s-thunder isn't adjustable and can only be used with 12g cartridges.

The madbull can be fitting on a standard 20oz paintball co2 tank.

The Legend July 5th, 2011 10:14

how many refills can you get from a 12 gram CO2 cartridge in a mid-size grenade?

coach July 5th, 2011 10:19

about 2-3 fills depending on the PSI. Factor in the costs of a 12g cartridges (0.50-1.50), a 20oz tank (@ $5-10 a fill) takes a long long time to empty.

wildcard July 5th, 2011 11:56

the beauty about madbull cherries and kings are they are completely adjustable, meaning that if you play among friends you can fill them to around 300-400psi if you want to be an asshole or get someone who are consistenly not calling their shots well 750-800psi will do the trick, that being said aim low or at a wall 800psi worth of bbs charge at close range can do some damage.
The only thing is like anything that is gas related these two nades love lots of lube and keep a shitload of orings that retain the bbs as these are the only that you may find that need replacing often

I stopped doing that with my king arms that blew them every 3 shots and just started using teflon tape as it's cheap and easy to hold the bb's in

that will work fine if you use propane, i tried that with the CO2 nades and they last about 1 shot at 650psi the orings will last a lot longer but on occassion they will shoot out with the bbs

To the OP if you are serious about getting into nades get the Madbull cherries and the kings, they are great I have replaced all my CAW(mosquito mold), King Arms and G&P for Madbull Cherries and Kings

Oh yea I do e Teflon every bb refill lol but for me it's easy to reload and I always have rolls of it around. More of a " hit blew another oring glad I have Teflon tape "

The Legend July 6th, 2011 17:20

This looks good and has a good price
http://airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/produ...roducts_id=766
Is it worth it?

coach July 6th, 2011 17:27

It is not a madbull cherry or king! As much as I'd like to support Huang, that is not a nade we'd run!

The Legend July 6th, 2011 17:39

Iwant to know would it break after the 3rd use?

don't know but seeing as it's not a branded item, it's really hard to tell. plus, who makes or sells maintenance kits? the support you can get with Madbull parts is amazing. not even sure what other brands sell replacement cone valves, with the exception of s-thunder's (garbage) co2 upgrade.

trust me when I say the MB cherries and kings are the way to go. the phrase "I told you so" is used so often I can't count how many times I've said it to people who bought something else. why else do you think Wildcard, Duckman and myself have gone exclusively Madbull? Cherries (xm108hp), Kings (xm204hp) and Multi's (xmpb4) only.

to be brutally honest here, stop being cheap! to save a few bucks upfront could cost you dearly in the future.

The Legend July 6th, 2011 18:50

King or cherry if I was to buy one?

what launcher? the king won't fit in short launchers like the xm203.

just get the cherries.

wildcard July 6th, 2011 20:56

King(yellow) and cherries (red) will fit into any launcher, as long as the firing pin is metal you will have no issue using CO2

The revolver launcher in renegade hands will only fit Cherries (the red ones)

***Want to be a effective and usefull grenadier and want to go cheap is like an fat ugly kid trying to score with the head cheerleader it will never have a happy ending***

The Legend July 7th, 2011 06:11

Are all the scratches on the thumper of how many people you killed with it?

coach July 7th, 2011 07:15

You are welcome, at any game, to feel...um I mean see it in person. :D
