007 Airsoft

On the 007airsoft.com site in the "gas guns" section there is a section for KSC guns but it says "not for civilians". Are they just saying that to make it look like they're conforming to Canadian law but they can still sell it? When people tell me that you can get metal guns I'm assuming this is one of the major retailers that can provide them?

R.I.T.Z March 4th, 2011 21:49

read the FAQ
get age verified
we cannot tell you where to acquire guns
and no "not for civillian" means not for civillian they do not conform to the new canadian laws regarding airsoft and fall under a replica weapon which only law enforcement, military, and movie prop houses can have YOU NOR AVERAGE CIVILIAN CAN OWN
next time do some research seriously

also
take that eeyore

Eeyore - 2
I'm back ontop

Korunos March 4th, 2011 21:53

" Not for civilian " means that unless you are in some type of law enforcement/military/movie industry or something to that effect.....you cannot buy these guns. Read FAQ, and get age verified....as others have told you in the other threads you have posted.

Nobody will help you get anything until you get verified.

R.I.T.Z March 4th, 2011 22:03

honestly if your serious about the sport do us a favour and use the search function because everything you've asked has been answered we are not here to spoon feed you every time your lazy ass thinks up a question.
- WE CANNOT TELL YOU WHERE TO GET GUNS
- WE WILL NOT TELL YOU WERE TO GET GUNS
- LEARN TO USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION
- GET AGE VERIFIED
- READ THE FAQ'S

You seem quite upset. I have decided that I am not nearly serious enough about this sport to go through outrageous steps to be accepted into a community full of people sporting a garbage elitist attitude. I have read some of the FAQS. The reason why I have been asking things that seem to be obvious or already covered is because of companies and people experiences contradicting all the information in the FAQS. Most of you seem like very angry and snappy people but I hope you at least enjoy killing the sport and warding off new players or people interested. You can blame only yourselves for Canada being so tight on this sport.

Strelok March 4th, 2011 22:42

Oh hey, we're apparently killing off the sport again.

you know how many times this line has been used?
if you have read the FAQ's and done some searching you would have realized that this website does not require another thread spewing the same answers over and over
also you would have known that the appropriate place for these dumb spoonfeeding questions is in the newbie tank
also outrageous steps? such as getting age verified and using the search function? really?

I wonder why that line has been used so many times. It could be because there is a lot of sense to it. The fact that people need to be age-verified is outrageous. Maybe after more and more threads are created with the same responses being spewed some of you will begin to understand how outrageous the age-verification system is. "Airsoft is fragile and might get banned, waaaah". I've heard of plenty of idiots shooting unwilling people with paintball guns and the sport is still going strong. As far as the community goes and keeping the kiddies out. All the arrogant, sport killing, forum big talkers know each others names now.

R.I.T.Z March 4th, 2011 22:59

the rules are not changing
they are in place for a reason
if you do not like them GTFO nobody is forcing you to stay here

Hi, I'm sure you're very excited about the concept of airsoft and many of ASC's policies seem unnessessary and unimportant to you. But please look at it from out side:

Because of the way that the majority of Canadians see gun it would look very bad if children/ young adults abused airsoft guns for crime etc.
While these policies are strict they have allowed us to control who we give access to these guns to, thus helping to keep them out of the wrong hands. If you had invested thousands of dollars and many years to a hobby and someone were to do something stupic with airsoft and cause the law to come down on our sport you would not be happy.

This is basically what we are trying to do protect our hobby.

Korunos March 4th, 2011 23:11

Age verification is not difficult. Meet up with local rep, show ID...wait to get verified....get access to hidden areas on forum containing lots of goodies. It is this community's way of keeping info and or guns out of the hands of people dumb enough to play in a park or backyard. People like that are the ones to blame for the restrictions on Airsoft, not the veterans here. They are the people trying to teach others to respect the sport, and care for it as much as they do.

Every post you have made, could have been avoided by reading FAQ's and by using the search function.

Hoping a mod will lock this soon.

Like R.I.T.Z said, if you don't like the rules that are in place...GTFO

TDH March 4th, 2011 23:16

Strelok March 4th, 2011 23:25

Well, this is a good example of how the AV system keeps the stupid out.

I should've really kept that tally of kidiots warded off.

BloodSport March 5th, 2011 00:57

Troll is a Troll, stop feeding them.

ap27 March 5th, 2011 01:43

But they provide so much entertainment!! :D

Like this particular guy. He even brought paintball into the argument!

Goose0 March 5th, 2011 02:16

i dont know why you guys are like this.. maybe hes new to the site and doesn't know how things work. and if you really don't like the question he asked why waste your time and reply back just to be rude. i mean i kinda understand where your comin from but com on grow up. you don't have to flame someone just because they asked a stupid question in the wrong spot. i mean he has to learn some time just answer his question and then tell him how the site works.

WHY SO SERIOUS?

Strelok March 5th, 2011 02:27

Being new is alright, and if you hadn't noticed, we've done our best to answer his questions. Instead, they fly right past his head. He continued to question and even go as far as insult the system we have in place here.

Then the 'Flaming' began.

You're American, you don't have to deal with the kind of shit we do up here in Canada regarding airsoft, so pardon us if we get a bit touchy on the subject.

Another point is, we get idiots like this often. They expect to be spoonfed when tons of information is readily available to them. There is no excuse for being a lazy fuck, even on the internet.

Move along.

I agree with Strelok you don't have to deal with the kind of crap we do in Canada.

For example, if you wanted (and were 18 or something) you can go to Walmart and buy a rifle (after you phone it in to the police dept for a background check or something and get clearance). My American roommate tried to explain this to me. But then again I'm like 80% sure he's a shitpump and a walt.

Anyways, it's a totally different culture, "soccer moms" are a strong political force here, and won't listen to the voice of reason. So I personally think it's best for us to not rock the boat and try to make little steps over time rather than trying to push a whole package through parliament before opposition builds up (since again even if the MP's like the bill/package if they vote for it the "soccer mom lobby" will make sure they don't get reelected).

Also, he has started other threads asking pretty much the same question. He was told politely in those threads how to attain that information, and I even went as far as posting the links he needs to read. He ignored the "warnings" and as Strelok has said ...... let the flaming begin.

The worse part is that 007 Airsoft is one of the most renowned retailers around... Even a very simple and basic search would have yielded these results to the OP. With that info in mind he could have probably made an educated guess that the products are literally not available for civilian purchase, but only for military/law enforcement/film production.

Even then, common sense should have brought the mind to the conclusion that some kind of (very) official documentation would be required by said organizations to get Ken to bring in any of the "not for civilian" line.

Honestly, how are kids these days getting their brains so warped out of reality? I'm only 20, but even when I was 16 I had enough sense to actually do a lot of search and meet up with Ken from 007 Airsoft to talk about airsoft. Being local really helped, and so did the fact that Ken was more than happy to talk about airsoft, the legalities behind it, and how things were done in the Canadian community. Not only did he state all the facts I was looking for, but he EXPLAINED the reasoning for everything as well.

Great guy, and a great store to be sure. You wont find him bending, let alone breaking the Canadian laws on this stuff.
