beater pistols, exploding chambers and springs.. oh my (m945 problem)

ok, now seriously. bought a used ksc m945 pistol from the forums. poster said it was a beater, but he also said it functioned well (no problems save ascetic ones). so i finally got some bbs (.2's) and loaded a mag. took three shots, then next thing i knew there were two ear ringing bangs, a loud collision sound. an empty mag (both bbs and gas were gone) and some how i sliced my thumb? lol? so this morning i dis-assembled the gun, re aligned all the parts and got everything working, except for the M945 Cylinder Return Spring. if anyone could tell me which current model of airsoft pistol would be compatible. this is my first gbb and i feel that i have most of the inner workings down pact, so i feel i can make this spring repair if someone could point me in the right direction.

cheers

the return spring snapped? or it just wont pull the nozzle back, I know sometimes when I had it the nozzle can get stuck if you dont lube it enough, but ive never had issues like that...

yah man. thats where the failure came from.. FFFUUUUUU!!!!! god damn it. tday im going to see if it still fires. i have to remove all parts from the slide. gonna re-enforce it. and i know its not just stuck, because i did a full strip and lube.

Thenooblord November 12th, 2010 10:41

must have been fun after what was done to the BBU to keep it in there... hope it didnt crack even more, LOL, but the springs broke? or the little pins they were mounted on? cause there are 2 springs, i have trouble believing they could fail at all, let alone both

Shell Shock November 12th, 2010 10:56

actually, getting the bbu out was easy. just took time and patience. but yah the springs failed.

Thenooblord November 12th, 2010 11:06

i have a video of hte gun firing perfectly fine the day before he bought it, and i gamed it the day before that, I definatley wasnt pawning a broken gun...

hey man. i knew what i was getting into. im not a nob, just new account. i just need direction with this spring. i dont know nearly as much as i want to know about gbb. though the system is pretty simple. im not blaming him either, prob just an anomaly.

m102404 November 12th, 2010 11:14

Whatever floats your boats guys...however I think it's pathetic to see this sequence over and over:
1. Nooblord sells sh*t
2. Buyer posts up with broken sh*t issues
3. Nooblord trys to figure out sh*t back and forth on the forums

It's really none of my business what he sells or who buys it...it just stinks and if you're going to post it in a public forum anyone can comment.

Best of luck with finding your spring.

Thenooblord November 12th, 2010 11:15

this is the second time this has happened, out of like 100 things ive sold on ASC.. not really a pattern...
and how could a return spring breaking possibly be my fault?

Bullshit not the second time, at all

Shell Shock November 12th, 2010 11:26

.. any input on the spring?

Styrak November 12th, 2010 11:58

Another failgun from nooblord.

Does no one learn? I wonder why his AV status hasn't been revoked yet, or at least a temp ban.

cause in the end they all get resolved one way or another, the people he scams are waay too forgiving and will say "it's all okay now" when their gun eventually gets fixed or they are reimbursed because they just want it to be over, they don't take in the bullshit they've had to tread to eventually get it worked out and say "no this is wrong I shouldn't have had to be a victim in the first place something's gotta happen" all his scam attempts end with a miserable happy ending of defeat.

the only people who call him out for his pathological lying, and repeated scams are those who aren't involved in the deal and wouldn't darwe buy from him so it doesn't really matter

For KSC parts go to KWA USA. for that pistol look here, http://store.kwausa.com/m945series.aspx

They do ship to Canada by CCard, they know not to send frames, full guns and the other no go items.

About the only thing it seems they can't help with is Glock parts since there's no KWA model of that one.

thanks man. though its a fail on kwa's part.. . . they're out... fml

any equivalences?

Danke November 12th, 2010 12:28

You can flip through the parts/exploded views for a diagram.

And just like any website at times theirs isn't up to date. Go to here, http://www.kwausa.com/support/ and start a ticket with what you're after.

I really have to say they're about the most accessible folks I've run across in the world of airsoft manufactures. I've talked to staff on international forums, they've talked to me via email directly to and they've phoned me when my order was ready to finalize the shipping details.

Shell Shock November 12th, 2010 12:31

thanks so much man! + 1 interwebz for you

Kid November 12th, 2010 13:15

When I saw the word "beater pistol" in the title, I immediately remembered a recent GBB sale thread by Thenooblord.

I laughed when I opened the thread to see TNL defending himself.

Shell Shock November 12th, 2010 13:24

well, i might have been able to solve this. depending on the next email i get... i got to go to class.. i hope i get that email by classes end.

how could I have no negative feedback if I sold everybody shitty guns? Im sure SOMEBODY would have said something by now
I dont SCAM anybody, im really getting tired of people who have never even seen one of my guns telling other people that they are shit
I had that M945 for months, gamed it many times, and I gamed it this sunday and was shooting it on monday, and took a video of it firing as well, so how exactly is that me selling a broken gun? Im not in control of when a part fails, i cant tell "ohh that spring looks like it feels like breaking" so you can all go to hell, cept the people who are actually helping the guy find the parts, thank to you guys

it is not me trying to scam a guy just cause a wear and tear part fails right after i sold it

thats wear and tear, not negligence or damage

Styrak November 12th, 2010 14:40

Assault Pioneer November 12th, 2010 15:07

you've had negative trader rating, how they keep getting taken off your rating I don't know but I've seen them. your not fooling anyone except for the poor bastards who don't know about you yet and find out the hard way keep spilling crocodile tears it's not working you've put too many people through your crap for them to be honest mistakes you do scam people, the ole "it was fine when I had it" line only works so many time's you've beaten that horse into a fine powder.

your not worth the time to go back and dig up your multitude of threads and posts displaying your dishonesty and deals gone bad, but I'm sure your pal Darkangel will be by shortly to show you again I'm sure he has it on a wordfile by now all he'll have to do is copy and paste...

Thenooblord November 12th, 2010 16:44

ive gotten ONE negative, ONE!!! and it was from kid, and he reverted it on his own, so you can go spread your lies somewhere else
the deal with KID is the ONE AND ONLY sale ive been involved with that was not smooth as butter, you guys either have very good imaginations, or hte more likely just like sharks with blood in the water, dont care what it is, they just wanna tear shit up

DarkAngel November 12th, 2010 16:49

Im actually in a mellow mood, Ive had non stop headache for the last week and its finally going away, so this is about the nicest and most civil post your gonna get from me regarding this topic.

You all know at this point how the community and I feel about TNL's gun repairs/sales.
I think theres some merit in his attempt to help the buyer resolve the problem however, there is a definate pattern and history.

If it was one of my guns, i would offer to have it shipped back to me, repair it and ship it back (Hint Hint TNL). However the support he offers with his "products" are his business, and nothing I say will "make" anyone do anything.

Would I buy one of his guns? Not if my life depended on it.
Would I recommend it? <See above response>
Will I do anything about it? No. Ive been very vocal about this topic several times and at this point im beating a dead horse with a stick. Its not my job, nor is it my responsibility to police the exchange of airsoft guns. This responsibility lies with the Admins (For Verification Status) and RECOL for Criminal or Fraudulent Investigations.

TNL, you have been very lucky with your clients so far. They have been very civil and understanding. If it was me, or the majority of the community, negative feedback would be the least of your problems. My advice is to Quit while your ahead.

Dispite popular beleif. I have no personal grudge against TNL, nor do I store this kind of information to be "out to get" anyone. I may be more vocal about these matters, but this does not make me an authority in fraudulent or technical Disputes. I am not his Age Verifier, I cannot pull his AV status. That descision lies with the Age Verifier that verified him and with Drake.
His actions are his own, and he alone is reponsible for his transactions.

Thenooblord November 12th, 2010 16:52

well i just shipped a gun to eeyore, so ask him in a few days if his gun arrived on fire and in pieces

I think you guys are confusing my stupid questions pertaining to my gun fixing; with trade issues, they are separate, and ive had quite a few of the former, not the latter

anyways, this is the gun on nov 8, very NOT broken, and he bought it two days after
YouTube - Beater KSC M945

DarkAngel November 12th, 2010 17:09

The buyer did state that the gun worked for the first two shots. The failure happened on the third. I wont dispute that the gun was not working when shipped. The definition for "Broken item" or "Fraud" in this case will be determined by the buyer and seller, Some consider DOA as Broken, some consider breakdown within a week or so (with reasonable use) to be Broken. It all depends on the definition specified.

The issue on hand is the high failure rate upon receipt of the gun. (3 shots here, and less than a dozen on the last gun I witnessed blow out its BlowBackUnit.) I remember hearing a few others on the boards as well, but Im too tired and lazy to go search for it right now.

I dont think TNL is purposely tampering with the guns to all fail within a dozen shots, but something hes doing to them is obviously increasing the failure rate as this is not his first gun with a blowback unit exploding. Ill let you all speculate on the specific cause for yourselves.

Thenooblord November 12th, 2010 17:16

oh you mean that 6' hicappa, that was a parts compatibility issue that i fixed, the Oring came out of the nineball piston head and got stuck in the nozzle, so i swapped him back to a stock piston head

in any case, with THIS gun, I never did anything to the nozzle or springs, all I did was glue the BBU into the slide to prevent it flying out the back, because replacement slides are nary impossible to get, but that wouldnt make the springs snap

DarkAngel November 12th, 2010 17:19

Im glad you got that sorted out, both for you and the buyer.

I havent seen the guy since that day his hicappa exploded and I cant remember his username, so Ill have to take your word for it.

I would advise similar action on this transaction.

onemenace November 12th, 2010 17:24

i was just at noobs house earlier this week to drop him off some money to upgrade my ca lwrc which i might add he did an amazing job on and while i was there i shot off the m945 before he sent it out it was shooting mint i was considering buying it myself but just got my new aeg...in any case ive known noob for about 5-6 months now and he has fixed my guns a number of times from my pistols to my aegs and my gbbr and with out him i woulda been up a shits creek!!

his name was brendanl, and he then sold it to darkman who had it at the game last week just to remind me how much I missed that gun :(

@OP got any pics of damaged area?

Hey, that's me!

The decision at this point would lie with myself and any of other tier 1 staff; but there's no negative feedback and no unresolved complaints, not so much as a neutral.

Are people who had problems being handled so well they feel the feedback should be from Neutral to Positive? Is the feedback system not being used properly? Only people who've had [problematic] dealings with TNL can answer that.

But as it stands, there's no actual "problem" for us to address.

His Gundoc Abilities are not something that should be discussed on the boards anymore. He has already been forbidden to post any reference to it on these boards by ASC Admins. His personal dealings with you outside the boards (Positive or Negative) are not ASC related and should not be brought here as im sure the purpose of that ultimatum is to prevent another shitfest on the boards. I cant speak for Drake, but im pretty sure thats what he had in mind.

ok, so back onto the original problem i fixed it! i used Mc Guyver style and replaced the springs with orthodontic braces elastics! imo a great move. saved me 30$ for two springs, the two-three weeks of shipping and yah. im not pinning anything on TNL due to the fact that i know how easily anomalies can occur. as an electro/ mechanical engineering student, i know that even if something works, soon as you turn your back it fails. the gun shoots great now. next move is to re-enforce the cracked slide (TNL stated this.. no flaming please)

thankyou all for your input

Kid November 13th, 2010 01:03

Sounds good. Glad it worked out for everyone involved.
