Airsoft-Club and Gear

Airsoft-Club is a new retailer to our site and I figured that I'll do a small review and share my experience. The site is was easy to navigate and sorting categories was a cinch. From the day my payment was cleared til today when it was ready to be picked up was about 8 days. Not bad coming from Hong Kong. So on with the review.

I was a little concern when the CP worker handed me this package. It looked like it was kicked around and things could be missing or damage. When I got all the strapping off, I was shocked that it was shipped in a letter envelope with the little string and button closure thing.
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/4118/97433812.jpghttp://img697.imageshack.us/img697/8620/75867333.jpghttp://img708.imageshack.us/img708/2196/44686947.jpg

Upon opening, I was relieved that everything was intact and that my items was sealed in a plastic wrap. I flipped the package around and to my surprise, there was a little card that said "Free Gift", YAY :).
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/4133/27703409.jpghttp://img19.imageshack.us/img19/4008/46618683.jpghttp://img688.imageshack.us/img688/7084/36893788.jpg

So I took a good look at all the items to confirm that it was what I ordered and that nothing was damage. It was all good.
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/2668/68083067.jpghttp://img714.imageshack.us/img714/8783/21991054.jpghttp://img121.imageshack.us/img121/2265/22940845.jpghttp://img138.imageshack.us/img138/9376/93308446b.jpg

So the main review is the mag pouch that Airsoft-Club sell. A lot of people are concern about the built quality and is it too good to be true? The triple mag pouch here was only $6.99 and at that price, I figured that it would be a POS. To be honest, it's not that bad and for the price, I don't care if it gets damaged or dirty. If you're playing only a few games a season or on a budget, this is pretty good for the money. Here I'm comparing it side by side with my Eagle Industries mag pouch (Eagle on the right) and on my Eagle Plate Carrier.
http://img693.imageshack.us/img693/9082/38843009.jpghttp://img267.imageshack.us/img267/3903/35545543.jpghttp://img532.imageshack.us/img532/605/13915238.jpg

The pouch has a feature that I find very useful and wished my Eagle pouch had. The flap is removable so you have easy access to your mags without having to fumble around with the Velcro.
http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/7418/33434957.jpghttp://img156.imageshack.us/img156/89/81975729.jpghttp://img265.imageshack.us/img265/1820/70162555.jpghttp://img191.imageshack.us/img191/3368/66923750.jpghttp://img33.imageshack.us/img33/8133/23247347.jpghttp://img411.imageshack.us/img411/3177/78625988.jpg

So over all I was very pleased with my purchase and the pouch is pretty good so far. I'll do a quick update after I put the pouch through a few games and some stress test. The colour on the site looked a lot like my Eagle plate carrier but side by side, you can see that it is off. My plate carrier is Khaki and the pouch is CB so I kinda knew it was off. But the site picture looked the same. Any hoo, that's my review and thanks for reading.

Great review

Im actually very surprised as the stitching done on the repro item is actually pretty damn good, although you can tell they used a slightly lighter weight thread.

Rooster June 4th, 2010 14:20

Great review. I'm planning to purchase a few soft items there as well. I am currently waiting for my outer barrel from them and in a couple weeks I'll be ordering some BDUs to see how they hold up for the cost..

Gonzo Sleeper June 4th, 2010 14:24

Another thread here with some more info on ordering from them.

HKGhost June 4th, 2010 14:41

On the outside the stitching doesn't look too bad but under the flaps where the velcro is, it's really horrible. It's single stitching so it won't last long and they didn't even bother cutting the ends off. Some areas where they think it would get a lot of wear, they did double stitching but they mostly did single stitching.

Just got my package from Airsoft Club. Ordered a week ago and arrived today within a week!

Packaging was the exact same, envelope with strings. UGH However inside everything was in take.

I bought a Skull Mask (low half) and ACOG Scope. The Scope had little scuff marks but nothing major or noticeable unless you put your face to the thing. The Mask is of decent quality minus the foam on the inner of the mask. Just take some bike helmet foam and apply ontop of the glued on foam. Over very happy with this seller.

ordering

Well with all the great reviews I placed an order, and I'm not worried about it at all...seems like that may be the first time to. The thing that kills me is that shipping from HongKong etc takes half the time it does ordering from the states.

DarkAngel August 7th, 2010 20:55

They arnt new, they've been around for a WHILE now.

Great service, cheap stuff, but VERY expensive shipping.

yes shipping is a killer, but it arrives more quicker then I thought (Took a week for me to get my stuff).

Best way to avoid the high shipping fees are to group order.

Not in the case of Airsoft Club, which calculates shipping based mostly on weight.

Side note to prospective buyers: They'll send you a velcro-backed flag patch of your country, when you buy 3 items or more.

Brokenwings August 11th, 2010 11:32

I bought my whole gear from them a while back, it's still in completely good condition. Its a pretty good place set aside shipping.

jakster August 16th, 2010 20:16

Well time to see how their customer service is. Placed an order for a complete sniper scope system (scope w/rings, hood and protective caps) Received the package today (Aug 16, ship date of Aug 3) Not to bad shipping wise. Package arrived like what was mentioned here. Only thing is that I did not receive what I ordered and what was on the invoice they sent me. Instead of the Sniper Scope I received a holo sight, all other items arrived as ordered. Sent them an e-mail within 10 minutes and we'll see how they come thru on customer service. I'll update as we go along. Otherwise a very good experiance so far, good coms

**UPDATE**
Think they passed the customer service part, problem solved within hours. They are sending out the correct scope, fingers crossed it makes it here in time for the next game. And they offered me the option to purchase the Holosight that was shipped in error for half price ($25) Shipping it back would have been about $20 so I'm just going to buy it.
So far so good with them I would reccomend them for products and service
**UPDATE**

I ordered my STRIKE vest from them, and received it within twelve days of ordering, and that was through eBay. I paid about $40 total for the vest which came with a triple mag pouch, medic/utility pouch, and an admin pouch. They were great to deal with, and had good communication.

TK-604 August 17th, 2010 19:58

This is my first time ordering from airsoft-club. This is what's been going on so far.

I ordered a vest, balaclava, gloves and gun sling on Aug 7th. My order STILL says "processing" even though my payment was made through paypal and was completed right away. I sent a message yesterday (Aug. 16) to see what was going on and they said the order will go out Aug 17th and gave me a tracking number. I checked the tracking number and it says "destination United Kingdom" .... I live in Vancouver Canada. I messaged back questioning this and they said they assure me they sent it right and maybe hongkong post made an error. I checked again today on the airsoft-club site and hongkong post and no change on either end.

It's been 10 days now. No package. No way of telling where it is or when it's going to be here or answer why it says "destination UK". I have been charged on my credit card for the items and I have a game coming up on the 29th... fun.

I'll keep you updated on what happens.

hopefully everything turns up for you.

whats the average time it should be in "processing" on the site??

i just put in a order for 4 things yesterday, total of around $100 with shipping, and i want to keep an eye on it so hopefully i get the package asap and not have to wait over a month for it or have any other problems.

obviously it still says processing for my account, but i figure maybe 2-3 business days and then it should be shipped.

DarkAngel August 19th, 2010 12:59

Other than the complete ripoff prices on shipping, Ive been very satisfied with the service from AS-C. My only beef with them is that I just dont see how 10$ in stamps (Via snailmail) justifies 90$ in shipping and handling when pretty much every other distributor/retailer from HK charges 1/2 the shipping (Via Parcelpost) from AS-C.
I do like some of the products you carry, and would order from them more often, however because the company determines shipping by item, it doesnt even make sense to do group orders anymore because it would cost me almost exponentially more for adding any items be it a small patch, or a backpack.

Because of this, unless they carry something exclusive that I cannot get from any other supplier, I will most likely take my business elsewhere. I say this as constructive critisizm for AS-C, in hopes that they will consider re-evaluating their method of generating shipping prices.

Short Round August 19th, 2010 21:03

Their packaging is also very classy...

Didn't think someone could fit so much into a simple envelope before

My status on the site changed from "processing" to "shipped" a couple days ago. 10 days AFTER the order was placed. I find this a bit rediculous since most people I know or have read reviews say they received their stuff within about 8 days (not buisness days, 8 DAYS) It has now been 13 days for me. The tracking number they gave me gives me no info at all so I'm just hoping it shows up next week or I'm shit outta luck for my game next sunday and won't have any way to hold my mags, no gun sling, no gloves etc. lol

BABU August 20th, 2010 20:42

hahah, dont mean to laugh but im in the same boat, im hoping to play the saturday FR game and i figured i would get my stuff cuz of all the ppl saying they got their package in like 8 days, but seeing as how its moving so slow now i kinda doubt it

i had even emailed them just to make sure theyre on top of things, just asked how long b4 the package is shipped and if i will get a tracking number...i got this reply...
"Hello,

Since we received your payment on 18 Aug 2010
we send out the item today
we will infrom you tracking number later

rgds
"
yet still no tracking number and still says processing on the site

lol, thats at least better than www.airsoftbb4u.com where i ordered my vest from, i also emailed them at the same time and still no reply :/ i had put that order in a day b4 the airsoft-club order and still says processing :(

i think i might still go play the FR game though, looks like itll be fun, ill just have to use my ghetto home made duct tape tac vest

sure wuld be nice to get my packages though :/

Short Round August 21st, 2010 01:03

Packages take two weeks to get here (KW area). May also vary on how many items you ordered though. I got an Acog and Mask and it came within a weekish.

Have faith you have another week for it to come.

bomber439 August 21st, 2010 12:27

I ordered 8 items in June for $80. Combine shipping was $40 ($8 off). Got a free flag. All items wrapped individually and packaged in one shipping box. The parcel arrived here (Alberta) 11 days after order was put in. They'll get my business again.

wtf! Lol

HKGhost August 21st, 2010 14:40

My order arrived 8-10 days after (not including weekends) after my payment was clear. If you're buying from asia, expect to wait up to two weeks or more for your items to arrive. I've ordered things from another site in HK that took almost a month after payment was cleared to arrive. Best thing to do is make your order, and don't think about it for awhile. It will feel like a surprise when it arrives. :)

TK-604 August 23rd, 2010 17:30

So my stuff just showed up! If it really did leave till the 17th that is pretty quick shipping. It arrived by canada post looking the exact same way as in the pic at the beginning of the thread. Every thing was packaged nice and neatly, and they even threw in the free velcro canada patch. Nice!

The quality and fit of the gear is better than I thought. Overall I am completely happy with my buy and WILL buy again.

BABU August 23rd, 2010 17:48

nice!

mine still says processing and im still hoping it would arrive by end of this week so i can have the stuff for the game on saturday :/

*fingers crossed*

Any one ever buy their BDU's? How is the quality?

Space Bot August 24th, 2010 01:54

I'm buying a Canadian CADPAT, and a lot of other stuff next week, so we'll see how it all goes!

Same BDU I had interest into, so perfect.

darkorpse August 24th, 2010 21:34

I'm glad to see people have had a positive experience with this retailer but I feel that it is the exception to the rule. On multiple occasions AS-C has lied about shipping products, and attempted to cover their tracks with statements such as:
"Sorry for no tracking number is provided
since we send item with standard airmail
in Hong Kong Post"
While shipping it a day or two later, and giving a tracking number through hong kong post.

My personal experience with them, has them not shipping for over 8 days, though to be fair it was shipping on the 5th business day since my order was placed: two days after I complained that it had not been shipped in the "2-3 days" their site says it will take.

--Shipment still pending: Will update upon arrival to say if everything was there/how long it took. I know a number of people have had issues with 1-3 items --being missing, but AS-C has blamed customs for "losing" the items during inspection.

Shipment has arrived: Out of the 6 things I ordered, 5 did come through. I recieved my two slings, fore-grip, tact-vest, and water bladder, but my multi-cam BDU did not come in the box. Attempting to re-contact AS-C to see if they will ship without additional cost: Clearly they didn't double check my order. I also did not recieve the customary country flag.

P.S.

IF YOUR ORDER STILL SAYS PROCESSING SEND THEM AN EMAIL AS THIS MEANS THAT THEY HAVE -*NOT*- SHIPPED IT. I had this issue, and the status updated a day later (even if they claimed it had been sent three days prior...)

ive already sent them 2 emails and each time they tell me either they will ship it that day, or in the 2nd email they said it had already shipped, yet still processing on the my account page on the site :/

so i just dont get what else i should be writing them in the email to get them to ship it, threaten to complain to paypal or something? or wait out the 14 days patiently and then complain?

either way im pretty disappointed so far for their lack of shipping out the product, especially for the shipping rates that they charge :S

CanadianBeast August 24th, 2010 23:54

I ordered from these guys not knowing what to expect, figured it was only $30 so what the hey. I put a payment in on a Thursday, was apparently shipped over the weekend and had it within 10 days of when I put my order through.

Definitely gonna order from these guys again

BABU August 25th, 2010 12:11

just wanted to update, in my account on airsoft-club just today it changed to shipped and it does show a tracking number, so i am a little relieved that i dont have to send any hate mail

and although i have no problem with it really being shipped out after 5 business days, i wouldve really appreciated them telling me that it would ship by end of this week or something along those lines, instead of lying to me twice in their emails

hopefully the package contains everything and there are no further problems, as i would not like to have to communicate with them by email again :/

HKGhost August 25th, 2010 14:48

Processing over there takes a bit of time. It could take up to 7 business days so there's always a waiting game. I hear so many people complaining how it takes so long to ship there items. If you can't wait, then buy in country. Most of the time it's 5-10 days for processing, and then 5-10 days for it to be shipped. Then you have 1-5 days with Canadian Customs. So it does take time for all orders over seas.

my package arrived today, better packed then what others have had here, mine came in a box and the box was wrapped in paper and taped, but that might have been because my order was a little larger and probably would not fit into a large envelope, overall good experience, just expect to wait about 7 business days before ur order even ships. so don't order anything if u need it in a hurry.

quality of the stuff seems pretty good for a HK knock off, but the design is not the greatest, mainly speaking about their X cap knee and elbow pads, maybe over time they will soften up and be better but brand new they are quite stiff around the velcro part that is behind ur knee/elbow and it is very difficult/ slightly painful to bend down on ur knee or bend ur elbows, hopefully time will fix this.

TheMightyOb September 8th, 2010 09:03

I've ordered from them, just a tactical rail for my AK to see how it would go. Shipped within a day, received very quickly. I have since placed an order for a vest, and balaclava, which shipped in about 2-3 days and is now hanging out in customs. Hopefully it will be released soon.

Customs held on to a package of mine from RSOV for nearly 10 days last time...shenanigans

Whats the deal with ASC's site lately, its extremely slow to load...

Gridlock September 16th, 2010 14:18

Just ordered an OD Tac vest, an OD tornado dropleg, and a woodland shemagh. Took them a bit to get to shipping status (two or three days, normal), but once it was shipped I could almost watch it fly in real time. Got in a week and a half.

Nice and quick. Might shop from them again. The build quality of the gear seems a bit under par, but it was all cheap so I can't complain.

Space Bot September 17th, 2010 01:32

Well it took me a couple days cause I forgot about this thread sorry Najohn.
So I ordered a CADPAT BDU, Tac vest, Shemagh, gloves, knee+elbow pads, boonie and a pair of G&P goggles.

Shipping took 2 weeks. Packaging was exact same as everyone elses, BUT since I ordered so much stuff they sent it in 2 packages.
1 was that parcel thing... still amazed at how much they managed to cram into it.
and the other actually came in a box. Kind of confused the hell out of me, I open the box, and it actually smelt really nice... like those really sweet smelling air fresheners haha.

Najohn, you'll be happy to hear that the BDU is actually supprisingly good quality considering the price. It's a nylon cotton mix, really comfy. I noticed on the washing instructions they put "Nachine wash" What I really love about the BDU, is that when it's cold out, it keeps me warm, but it breathes enough to keep me cool when it's hot out.

Over all, everything I ordered (About $140 worth of equipment... $80 shipping) is pretty good quality. Only problem I have is the pads. You can't adjust the tightness of them, it's just a stretchy band and pinches the skin a good amount when wearing them for an hour or longer.

No worries, this will help out for all those who have interest in Cadpat attire! THANKS!

Space Bot September 17th, 2010 02:07

But be forewarned, I have yet to take it through the torture of gaming since I got it like 2 days ago.
Plus the next open game here isn't for another week... and I have absolutely no way of getting there since I don't have a car...
Blast having only 1 friend who likes airsoft that has a car!

aBanana September 24th, 2010 20:10

Thanks for all the experiences in this thread guys, I'll be making a big 300+ dollar order shortly to get setup (switching from paintball to airsoft), I ordered from them as a trial order with a simple mask and it arrived within 10 days packaged as usual, shipping charges though are insane. Just with my items in the cart, it's 310 CND worth of products and 150$ on shipping....I know some of the items have some good weight to them but damn!

wild_qwerty November 29th, 2010 23:29

My first order from Airsoft club only took a few days to process (over the weekend) and was received in good condition and within the expected delivery time. I got a track and trace number etc...

My second order was placed on the 28th of October, and shiped on the 1st of November (processed over the weekend so not to bad). No track and trace this time though and it still hasnt arrived yet (30th of Novemeber). Apparently Hong Kong Mail is a little slow this time of the year and I've been asked to wait a little longer.

I'll update if/when I get the items :)

gunwisewarrior November 29th, 2010 23:59

I myself have made 2 orders from them. the first time it was a small order and was processed the next day, shipped and recived in 5 buisness days, the second was no different. I orderd it the saturday before last, shipped the next monday and recived today :D. Also both times i got a neat little canadian flag velcro patch as a free gift. 2 thumbs up to these guys i will definately be ordering from them again. By the way... These IBH helmets are.... how do you say... BADASS?

Rywalker December 17th, 2010 00:40

I placed an order on December 6 (2 BDUs and a mag pouch), which was shipped on Dec 9. After reading this thread, I sent their customer service an e-mail asking for an update. Within an hour, I got a reply and the tracking number for my package, which Canada Post shows at the Scarborough postal outlet.

I'll reserve judgment until I see the product, but I definitely can't complain about the customer service so far.

Conker December 17th, 2010 00:43

If you want cheap gear, they got decent stuff (depending on the item), their service is pretty good... but

DON'T BUY THEIR CADPAT

It's worse than radioactive relish... the colors are fucking aweful. It's even got pink in it...

Package arrived today via Canada Post. It was in a cardboard box with heavy paper wrapping. Each of the BDU sets and the mag pouch were wrapped in plastic. Received customary velcro flag. The BDU shirt fits as advertised.

BUT ... the pants do not fit. They are way too small. The website says the small pants are 29"-32". They are not. Not even close. In fact, the tag inside the pants says 27", and I'd say that's about right having tried them on.

I've e-mailed them to see what they'll do to make it right.

As for the colour of the CADPAT? Well, yeah, it's definitely not milspec by any stretch. But it's not unusable for a $29 shirt/pants set of CADPAT knockoff from HK.

Ordered a P90 sling attachment on Nov. 22nd. Still haven't received it yet. Never going to buy from them again.

Got my P90 sling attachment today http://airsoft-club.com/shop/externa...ries-aeg-ver-2. Mine did not have any trades at all, unlike the one in the picture. Conclusion: Do not buy from them.

I wouldn't buy accessories from them but gears are alright.

I've bought an assault vest from them. Took the normal 2-3 weeks from China but it was a good deal. Would definitely deal with them again soon.
