MP5 question
So after 5 years of using M4's I've decided to look into getting an mp5 and setting up a lighter rig for indoor/cqb.
I know next to nothing about mp5 manufacturers so I'm looking for info from enlightened individuals on the subject. Couple things I am looking for: prefer full metal pros/cons between aeg and gbb (internal issues, not 'aeg uses batteries and gbb's use gas') brands to stay away from Price is not a problem. |
if money is not a deciding factor TM and metal parts
|
Look at the Classic Army mp5 line up. CA's have full metal bodies.
|
What do you want in an MP5 there is many versions:
Full Stock/Sliding Stock/Folding Stock? Includes Battery? Rail and or Scope Mount? Any Brand Name Preferences? I'll give you the best 3 according after i go for Ice cream (: |

TM ICS G&G Systema ECHO1 |
Can also use the MP5 outdoors too to great effect. I've only ever owned two AEGs, and both are TM MP5s. And I rarely play indoors (lack of areas within a few hours drive).
|
I think I'm looking for an mp5 with a RAS and a sliding stock. Are there any brands that are Lipo ready? (I've been spoiled by kwa lol)
CDN_Stalker: any notable issues that you have had with your mp5's? |
The new ICS full metal models from Mach1Airsoft is almost as fun as finding a PTW on the ground while winning the lottery while firing nuclear tomahawk missiles at your worst enemies.
|
Try to get an MP5K, they use the V3 mechbox and are just in general much cooler IMHO.
Of course I'm an MP5 hater, so take that with some salt. -Grant |

ICS mp5's are the best... no offense CA's crap internals. yes the body is great but the internals are crap, i dont know why they call it sportline... G&G's are good too, but bad air seal. Full metal ICS are the best, you should wait for the new MX5 that's coming out, with 3 round burst... I have two of ICS mp5's and had them for a while... never broke.. :D

Sorry didn't know i really didn't look that much into it but thats fir clearing that up:D
|
Yeah ICS MP5s are great and it comes with a metal body...but as far as that new 3 round burst MP5 goes I'd hold back because i could see some flaws with it when it's first released, i hope i helped

Suggest to use midcaps ISO of hicaps. Due to the design of the mag, max wound will give approx 20+ rds.

Awesome, thanks for all the info guys. I like the sound of that 3 round burst, but I'll wait until it comes out and some reviews are done on it.

Anybody give any consideration to the G&G MAX Series? Probably too powerful for indoors, but nothing a spring change can't fix. Full metal too, so overall durability shouldn't be too bad. Internals all upgraded too and hey, it has blow-back. I would definitely give it a consideration.

Prob gonna get chirped for this, maybe i got a lemon who knows, but ive been using my cyma mp5 for the last 4 years and its still shooting strong. Ive owned so many guns and this is the one ive always kept and will keep. its got incredable range and has been my primary for outdoors since i got it. its got electric blowback and is full metal. have had some cosmetic issues but no internal issues. lately ive changed the hop up rubber and put in an inner barrel and thats it
the only problem with it is that its heavy as hell. broke the sling loop on the back part because the gun was too heavy for it so i cant use a sling and arms will get sore after gaming it all day haha |
VFC Umarex
Rock solid externals and wicked accurate out of the box (it out shoots my VFC M4 SOPMOD) The only upgrade really, is wiring to Dean's and throwing in a Lipo |

Blow-back is worthless though. If you want blowback or recoil, get a GBBR (VFC SD3). |
