yea, you can remove the sling loops, they have a screw thing on it, so you can somply twist it off.

and a sudgestion about the painting thing, practice on a wal-mart crapsoft thing a few times, once you get a hang of it, than find a pattern you like, and do it!

also, just a realy stupid question, but is your name by any chance brandon? just wondering because he invited me over like a month ago and i brought my VSR over, and he bought one just to be who he is, a fruit. no awfence if your not who i think you are gabe_guitarded.

Just got mine, but I need to work on my spraypainting skills before I even think about doing this gun. Also some questions: how can I remove the orange tip to put the King Arms thread adapter you recommended, and can the front sling loop be taken off to attach a regular bipod?

Thew orange tip can be unscrewed! It might be a little tough at first as some are glued in but a good pair of pliers or a monkey wrench will loosen it up! :D

Thanks mate! I'll give that a try. Any help on removing the forward sling loop would also be greatly appreciated. :)

EDIT: I received the Well version, not the TSD, so I'm not sure of any design inconsistencies so if you have the TSD your help may not work for me.

Oh haha no I meant just the sling loop, leaving the stud for a proper bipod to be attached. My fault for badly wording the question!

m700murder July 26th, 2008 13:46

what, you didnt know i was back. ehh, what ever. oh ya, and sory for screwing up the thread earlier(like a month ago) i just have a VERY short fuze, so i sorta spaze a TONE.

Skladfin July 26th, 2008 13:54

m700... please stop posting on my review thread, I really don't appreciate it.

Drache July 26th, 2008 13:56

Id ask an admin/mod to clean out this review, might be a good idea before it ends up like my Kraken one....

m700murder July 27th, 2008 10:28

sorry Skladfin, but, i dont see what ive just done wrong. i offered reliable advice, asked a stupid question, and said HERES JOHNNY!

gabe_guitarded July 27th, 2008 21:03

So does anyone know how to take the sling loop off of the bipod/sling stud?

Drache July 27th, 2008 21:08

Sorry I no longer have a VSR and can't remember for the life of me how I did it...

gabe_guitarded July 28th, 2008 14:08

Oh well, I guess I'll just mess around with that little locking device on the bolt till it comes loose.
