most of the bdu's they have are the american bdu design so they probly might just be purchaseing from frontenac then again there multicam is actually made by rap4 so who knows

im focused more on all the tac gear that will be produced in cadpat like vests and holsters and such

plus rap4 has olive furniture for armalites so i could make a basic canadain setup from one site :)

thats odd i had been told any cadets wearing cadapt would be charged for wearing it since there not in the cf they shouldent have it or something like that?

Motaal January 1st, 2008 18:05

I'm not sure about that part, I'm in the Governor Generals Horse Guards, , were a Scout amour division, what i have seen and what we know is that only Signals Cadets permission to wear Cad pat, and were all stuck with OD's

Only if there unit buys it for them. Daft idea to begin with, and the actual kit is shawdy.

Poor stitching, crap buttons, velcro-closure on the pockets, and the trousers are the BDU pattern, not the CF.

No kidding, and apparently the version I saw was the 'updated' set.
And if you're squadron buddies ever need 'special' kit...;)

Oh, and getting back on topic...here's a requirement for anyone doing a C8A2;

Glorious little bit of craftsmenship, the SFW barrel is made by Army Code in Hong Kong. I'll say it again, it's worth the $95 I spent!

Crunchmeister January 9th, 2008 23:51

The first steps towards the C8A2 conversion of my TM M4 are complete. I installed a C8 metal body and have my furniture painted OD.

Next I want to get the heavy barrel. Thanks for posting that Lerch. Now I know what to get for the next part of my conversion.

I also installed a Modify torque-up gear set and a Prometheus MS110SP spring. Having a problem with it at the moment though. Once I got the mechbox installed into the lower receiver and got the motor installed, I connected the battery and test fired it to see if it was working (I'd previously had problems with the gearbox locking up. It worked like a charm. ROF was excellent too. I proceeded to finish assembly, and all of a sudden it didn't work anymore. I didn't try to see what was wrong though. It's too late tonight, so I'll have to troubleshoot it and pick it apart again on the weekend to see what's wrong with it. It may possibly just be the motor that needs adjustment. But it's looking good from a cosmetic standpoint.

Crunchmeister January 13th, 2008 03:36

It's now all together and working. It's gonna get the heavy outer barrel and a tighbore inner barrel soon.

Still trying to figure out what I'm going to do about the Triad mount. The Marui 3-rail mount I bought is not exactly what I expected, so I'll more than likely have to mod it to mount it correctly.

But this is a good start.

I'd say find a CNC machine and make the tri-rail...it's probably the only way to get one short of theft (BAD!).

Crunchmeister January 13th, 2008 03:54

Well, I'm not dead set on getting the rail. If I can't get one, I won't be too disappointed. I want it more for show than actual use anyway. If I ever need rails for an indoor game, I'll more than likely use another gun (like the HK416 I'll be getting soon) altogether, so it's not a 100% requirement for me. Now if I could find someone with a CNC machine could make one, I'd consider getting one.
