Haha. I never lost my keys. But I sure check if they are still on me periodically.
I keep them in my pants pockets or in my tacvest pouch. I wear my keys 24/7 except when I'm sleeping in bed, so I'm used to feel them all the time.

I keep them in my inner velco pocket of my combats.. you cant get in or out of that pocket without really trying..

Personally I've done a couple dumb ones. Guilty of forgetting to remove the barrel plug. done that a couple times. Once while doing target shooting I popped in an empty mag and tried firing...at least 5 or 6 times before I realized the gun wasn't broken, just my brain :P

My personal worst was when I'd dismantled my mechbox to do some upgrades. I'd gotten images, etc of how it was supposed to look. Opened it up, found out that Version 1 boxes are a bitch to work with and reassembled it. I hooked up my battery and squeezed off a shot (no BBs loaded), seemed fine so I didn't think anything of it. 5 months later I was at the first game for the season, took out my AEG for the first time and tried firing, only to find that while the gun was firing and you could feel the air coming out the barrel, no rounds were coming out. Tore the gun apart again to later discover I didn't put the nozzle onto the tappet plate (think that's the right part) properly. *coughs* She shoots great now though!

Another awesome one was my buddy who managed to shoot himself. We were in a forest and he was shooting at me through some trees. Well he wasn't looking while he shot and fired into a tree he was hiding behind. The BB bounced off and hit him in the leg. Never gonna let him live it down. 'specially since he's in the reserves :P

Hate those. Where you're shooting at someone then your own BB ricochets back at you and hits you somewhere you dont want ;). I ve done that once...ouch.

Ya i am guilty of thinking that the range and accuracy are like real steel....... I miss my c8

Recently I was screwing around shooting at some paintballs on the ground.. when a fellow player threated to shot me. He point is gun at me, so I point mine at his groin.. all of a suddon he aimed and fired at something and in reflex. I fired a 2rd burst. right into his groin from about 3 feet away. He wasnt to impressed. He ended up shooting me in the back multiple times as I ran from him.

Looking back on it.. it was kinda funny.

Nothing beats a frustrated bunch of noobs Doing the following:

Noob: Having noobs freak out at you saying "It's not fair, you have so many mags and we only have 1!"

Me: I carry 10 locaps, loaded with ~34 rounds each. The noob was walking around with a hicap...

Noob: If we go both go on the field with one mag each, I would own you no problem.

Me: I guess you are right... dumbass

Or the good old you have so much gear it's unfair, how is having extra weight ever to my advantage?

NewType ZERO October 17th, 2006 09:00

See if I ever said or did something like that Id expect to be shot.. on the spot. Its not how much ammo you have, Its how you use the ammo you do have. Hell, Snipers tend to go out there with low ammo mags, and only a few of them and still do well in games. Its not our fault they didnt read in the forums or anywhere that your allowed to carry more then one mag.. or that its kinda required to buy more.

Sadly.. I wanna be there the next time a noob does that.. and wait for him to say hes out of ammo.. ah.. theres nothing like a target that cant shoot back..

I'll remember that

NewType ZERO October 17th, 2006 10:13

are you kidding.. me.. that would make a great game. Hunt the Noob. No guns, nothing.. just tell them to run into the game area and let them be hunted down... oohh.. I like that.. and Im sure Im not the only one.

This happend to my my first game. I attached a clip on the back of a small mirrior so I could easily and quickly clip it onto my (rubber) bayonet and use it too peek around corners. Not too long into the day I realized I dropped the mirrior somewhere on the field.

Me: Hey, if anyone sees a mirrior on the ground its mine, I droped it.

Vets: You carry a mirrior?

Me: It's useful

Vets: Ill bet, in the middle of a firefight its imporant to reapply your makeup.

Me: No, i put it on my bayonet and use it to look at people.

Vets: Why? none of us wear skirts to look up.

Me: *glares*

noobs who dont know how to hold a gun piss me off to no end. THE STOCK GOES ON YOUR SHOULDER NOT OVER IT!!!!! and the noob thing i've done is forget my sumbraro that matches my brightly colored poncho.

NewType ZERO October 23rd, 2006 15:53

Hey man.. I have a Sumbraro.. dont tempt me to come out with it to a game.

Littleshakyhands October 25th, 2006 13:17

One of the funniest things i ever saw was when my 2 friends (this was a while ago), set up an ambush on opposite sides of a road... they ended up shooting each other because they were directly opposite.

But you have to admit... some things the reserves teach can be helpful...
