Im going to say this and I hope no one takes it the wrong way, if you want to post nothing but "praise for shootsoft" please do it in the other Shootsoft review. It's 10+ pages or so of good things about them and it would do better for someone to post there and bump it up rather than bump up my bad review wouldn't you think?

Well, after having a terrible experience (including ruined birthday plans) trying and ultimately failing to purchase a CA MP5SD from 007, I found ASC through a friend and lurked these forums for a while. Everyone here seemed to be giving others like me the same advice: get age verified and order through Shootsoft... the transaction will be fast and foolproof. So, even though I was convinced at this point that the Universe didn't want me to have a quality, full-metal MP5SD, I went through Shootsoft.

Shootsoft's website proclaimed that everything I could see in the products list had already cleared customs (and was therefore, one might assume, sitting in a Canadian warehouse, somewhere.)

I requested a status update at the one month / no gun mark, which is about 20 business days. (Unlike 007, at least I always got 1-day responses from Shootsoft.) Unfortunately, the response I got claimed the order was "still in the hands of our distributor" ...and it included a refund.

I just don't believe that even the worst distributors in Canada would take a month to pull a small box off a shelf and put it in the mail, even if their post office was located in Tuktoyaktuk. In my speculative opinion, the month-long delay seems much more likely a customs issue than a slow-as-zombies Canadian distributor issue.

I can only assume that this "already cleared customs" advertisement is not true.

Anyway, based on my false confidence in Shootsoft's claim that all of their products are in-country & customs-cleared, I went ahead to ehobby and spent upwards of $150 (+duty) on MP5-specific accessories (magazines, sling, mount) which are all currently useless to me. Had I known I'd get 007ed on the deal, I would never have purchased the accessories before getting my hands on the gun itself. Good thing I never bought the compatible Pelican case. Lucky the Eotech clone works so well with my M4. Glad the 2 mini batteries still work with my M4.

So, to rote-regurgitate every existing review of 007 and Shootsoft combined, "I'm sure he's a great guy and everything, and I realize that, although posing online as a standard business, he has lots of super-important full time shit to do, BUT..." ...overall, I feel I got 007ed, and it sucks to be me, b/c the Universe obviously DOESN'T want me to have a good quality full-metal MP5SD, and if I hadn't recently purchased an M4A1 from Mopic (quick, flawless transaction), I probably wouldn't be playing any summer games at all.

Lesson learned #2: Don't buy stuff for your gun until you get your gun.

Well since I am not verified an I have to wait 2 more years, I thought about purchasing some accessories for my gun that I planned to buy in the near future. From your story that you have posted, I might reconsider...Thanks for the post

I had a similar experience. Made a purchase.. 20 days later it still haden't shipped because they haden't gotten it from their "distributers". Got refunded, then shootsoft goes on vacation.

I've actually had less than satisfactory dealings with all of Canada's retailers:
A&A Airsoft -> Fucked up 3 consecutive orders.
007 Airsoft -> 4+ months with little to no communication.
Shootsoft -> Ordered an "in country and ready to ship" product that apparently wasn't.


ASC Classifieds -> Never had an issue dealing with individual people through the classifieds. Go ASC!

Not that I'm complaining... it was just annoying.

What im really confused about is...

everyones talking about getting decent guns like JG G36's and Army l85's and stuff off this site, while these guns are not even for sale on the site?

I read about some sort of membership invitation but I guessed that was a while ago...are they going to update the site with the new guns soon or what?

you need to be age verified. It's a lengthy process, as I'm still waiting for my animation (if you look under the user name on some members it has a lil' picture that says age verified with a checkmark) to go up, but it apparently opens many doors to Guns 'R' Us.

legros is the bigest joke supplier i have ever seen.

he is selling guns that have "cleard the boarder" however when i ordered a gun and 30 business days rolled around he says that it is still in the hands of his supplier. WHAT A FUCKING JOKE!

then when i email him for answers he send me my money back. but the best part of that is that he charges in u.s. funds and refunds me and canadian dollars.

when i told him i want my other 4.43 he wants me to send all the money back so that he can send me back all of it.

now would you send all of your money back to a guy who "claims" to have in country guns and then makes you wait.

after 10 days he said that it would be there in 20. after 20 he says the supplier still has it.

LEGROS you are the most emabarassing airsoft supplier i have ever been in contact with in my whole life. have no worries i will never send you one penny of my hard earned dollars. i would rather send it to someone who doesnt lie about the status of their guns.

Like every body know, we ask for 20 business days on every thing, stock or not! we do have a warranty of 20 business days on every order we do!

After that delay we have made a full refund... before he ask for it!!, telling him also we will contact him when is new friend will be ready to ship!

When he does is payment he chose EMT to do so... except he send is payment via Paypal! I did not realise at that moment and we did the refund via EMT, he send me back an email asking me 4,43$ because he have paid in us and it was the different of the total refund.

I told him have realise that I make an error on the way I should refund him... and I should refund is amount via Paypal and I will also retreive the 4% charge from paypal! If he could send back the Emt and I will refund all the amount via Paypal!

He send me an email back telling me I was a &"//$%/? and he would not send the EMT back... I told him that ok I will refund him via EMT the 4,43$ and I ask him also to do not place any order via our store!

We never spoke via the phone it was via PM and email!

nothing but love for Legros, if you dont want to do business with him then thats ok, but so far he's been an upstanding guy with me and my order (I was one of the first to buy something from him) and although it may take a bit longer then others I dont mind, but the fact that he brought me in an item not on his list that gives him +1 in my book.

I'm currently waiting for my purchase from shootsoft. Up to now, I've had good dealings, although communication was a tad slow at times.

Then again, I can understand, since LeGros was on a business trip and probably had to deal with a ton of e-mails. I should have my tracking number either today or tomorrow, so I'm still satisfied.

J'ai fais une commande avec Legros. Il a été complètement honête avec moi concernant les délais possibles.

Il m'a expliqué que une des raisons pour la fermeture temporaire de leur proshop est le temps que ça prend à leur vendeur à leurs faire parvenir les fusils. Je comprend entierement cela et je suis soulagé qu'il m'a mentionné ça en partant.

Une fois leur proshop réouvert, je les recommande à tout le monde!

I ordered a gun from Legros. He was completely upfront about potential wait times and has been super helpful to me.

Legros has told me that the reason they are taking a break is partly due to the amount of time it takes for them to get their guns from their suppliers. I can totally understand that and, as a customer of his, I find it comforting that Legros was upfront about this with me.

When their proshop re-opens, I totally recommend them!

You know what he's got a point you know what Be happy with the guns that he has brought into the country and by the way I find you verry immature. youve been playing for what a year bud your a newb still in alot of players eye's don't burn bridges you never know when you might need an airsoft gun in the futur.

Your case might have had some relevance until you said that.

I understand a lot of criticisms some airsoft suppliers are getting. It's annoying to wait for a long time for something you really want. But you can't treat these companies like futureshop with full refunds and unlimited stock. Airsoft is next to illegal. You should be happy that you can get anything. last time I sold you my MAG mid caps, you complained to me because it was cracking at the sides and didn't feed well. So I refunded your money AND shipping, got it back, and tested all of them and they all did well! I even have a video of it to prove it but you said "I don't care I don't want to see it". So I sold it again to another person, and he was fully happy with it.

When I tested the mags, the sides were not splitting at all when filled up to 100rounds, these can be physically shoved down to 113 rounds when I tested. And at that point, yes, it did start to split at the sides, but why wouldn't it? You're filling it with much more than you are supposed to!

Mine didn't split at the sides when filled with 100 rounds of BBs like you should. I also cracked open the "broken" one you were complaining about, and found out that they only used glue at the bottom of the mag, so the top part can split anytime they want.

So basically you were complaining about you abusing the product, and it not being able to take the abuse. But then if I didn't refund you, then I would have received a negative feedback/trade dispute for you abusing a product and it being unable to take the abuse.

It's like you bought a china gun, and it broke because you kept firing on full auto for 3 hours, then you fried the motor, and complained to the seller saying its their fault.

i gamed the mags once and that is when i discovered that they had issues...

do you really want me to post the pm's that were sent back and forth.

you sold me a product that i belived was NOT up to standard seeing as how they split open. your telling my that if i put 60 in them they wont split. of course they wont...but they are 100 rnd mid caps...i filll the ones i have now to the top and have gamed them about 4 times and i have no issues with them.

You don't really seem to understand the stupidity in trying to get $4 back. Leave it. This isn't futureshop. You don't just take things back and get everything refunded. This is airsoft, and you are lucky to have legros.

Shootsoft Is doing a Service to ASC, In the old days, before legros, mopic and other Airsoft Retailers, we used to have to wait months. Back then, Ive waited over a year for my TM P90 to come in. 20 days is MORE than reasonable in comparison to what we had to do to get them in the past. Legros, Keep it up, Enjoy your vacation as you deserve every minute of it. Youll be getting some business from me in the near future.

As for the personal issues with other people, keep them off this thread. This page is for Shootsoft Reviews only. If you had an issue with Legros skippy, file ONE (1) Single grievance instead of dragging it out for 2-3 pages. If you continue to have Disputes with him deal with it Via PMs or dont do business with him. But seeing how you got your money back, I dont see why this needs to go on any further.

Shootsoft sucks he sells me an M429, claims its new and "tested" before it leaves. I recieve it and the rails are all scratched up with some dirt inside the handguard. Apparently that means he "games" it or lends it out before selling it.

The damn 249 piston strips within 20 shots of opening the box, not to mention the battery was leaking as well. Damn fucker.

What "old days" are these, last year?

I'll say this again for all the new guys who joined in the last 2 years, 20 days is a long time compared to what we used to deal with. You used to be able to go to 5-10 retailers, compare prices, buy whatever gun you could imagine and have it in your hands inside of a week, most of the time. Your only choice was who to buy it from. Now, you are forced to buy whatever you can find in-stock, wait whatever time frame the "retailer" dictates, or go in the back with a hammer and make your own gun.

I think it's time for everyone to settle the fuck down. Not one of you whiners has any idea what it's like to try to import these things in today's environment, and most guys willing to risk it do it more for the love of the game than the profit, I promise you that. If you have a problem, take it to fucking PM. If it doesn't get resolved, go to an admin and start a trade dispute. It's pretty childish airing dirty laundry here, and I hope this sort of behaviour doesn't make it's way onto the field, which is where airsoft belongs.

I won't defend someone else's business practices, but it seems we all want what we want when we want it how we want it for the price we want it. Importing and distributing airsoft does not and can not follow this, it isn't legal and tolerated by the authorities. Let's get this through your heads so you can greatly lower your expectations and realize these things are not like buying an i-Pod and things are in an absolutely terrible state for retailing in Canada, worst that has ever been witnessed and getting worse all the time.

Because of the phenomenal service I received from Shootsoft.ca I felt compelled to write a review of their store.

Friday, June 27 - I PM LeGROS asking him if there are any JG Bar10's in stock.

Friday, June 27 - He replies yes. It will be $350 including shipping.

Friday, June 27 - I paypal him $350.

Friday, June 27 - He notifies me that he has received payment. And that the gun will be shipped by Jay ASAP.

Monday, July 1 - I receive a notification from LeGROS telling me that the gun is shipped, as well as the tracking number.

Friday, July 4 - The gun arrives on my doorstep.

The gun is in brand new condition in box. It fires flawlessly, accurately, and powerfully. The whole process from asking what's in stock to getting the gun on my doorstep took exactly one week. Now that's service that can't be beat.

Shootsoft sells clearsoft and Airsoft Now, clearsoft is availlable for non-verified users. If your not verified, you can't access the Airsoft section.

... I don't remember seeing anything but clearsoft on there...
Course... I don't even remember anyone saying that there was a non-clear section..

Before the summer they had a huge standard AEG/GBB section, but they "went on vacation" and never came back. Now all that's left is the clearsoft stuff.
